I am a Chinese-Filipino and I would like to correct some misconception that Chinese eat Siopao by first removing the outer skin. Certainly not. By removing the outer skin means the Pao is of inferior quality that are sold by street hawkers. They are considered dirty as the Pao is handled by dirty hands than using tongs. Particularly in Early Binondo as there were Kalesa... Horse Manure and Urine along the road way. Therefore it is sanitary issue than eating practice.
