I'm actually ok with it at the end of the day. I like having a board or two floating around that fit in games on the floor. If something blows up I can swap the board. get the machine up and running quickly, and fix the old board when I have time. Also, in cases like this where it really seems like a MPU glitch, being able to swap the board can rule that out.

Did you ever try screaming at it, kicking it, and smacking it? Usually works for me.
