    Thanks for the review i like your easy conversational style and focussing (to me at least) on the important things like electricity connections, drawers, toiletries etc. thank you and safe and happy cruising

    Hi Adrian, we stayed in 10410 for a 3-night comedy cruise on Saturday. These suites have now been setup to accomodate up to five people. The sofa has been replaced with a worn looking sofa/double bed and they have now also added a fold-up single bed to the room as well. It sits next to the coffee table with a vinyl cover over it. There were only two of us staying in the room but the single bed wasn’t removed. I had to move it every night so we wouldn’t kick it when we got out of bed. The next morning the staff moved it back when they cleaned the room.
    A lot of the glass knobs on the drawers were broken off, the bed was very uncomfortable, and a gurgling noise was coming out of the pipe work behind the toilet for the entire cruise.
    The entertainment onboard was great but the rooms are getting very tired.

      Just to make it clear, this was on the Encounter out of Brisbane, not the Adventure.

      Thanks for sharing your experience. Sounds disappointing! And strange situation regarding the bedding, very odd. The plumbing on these ships is a bit fickle in my experience too, but thankfully had no issues in this particular suite while I was onboard.

      @@martinhinchy3870 hello - can you tell me did it show in cruise control as the 5 birth? we booked this as the penthouse but is now showing as 5 birth - feeling a little let down with all the $$ we have paid.

    Thanks for the Lookie-loo. Just booked MA for solo cruise next May, on Encounter. I've only had MC on Coral Princess - but thought Im going to have to suck up the extra cost for BBBC , if I don't want to be let down by a Post Re-start P&O experience. Its good to know I'll get breakfast, & a pair of thongs 🤣🤣🤣

      @@TheCruiseandTravelGuy yes , & considering that now I'm paying for 3-4 fares to get those complimentary (formerly included) eggs Benedict - they better be coming to my room piping hot - but still soft, with avocado on sourdough toast - & a tiny glass of pineapple juice 🤣🤣🤣 Oh, & I'll sit on my deck 9 balcony - in my sturdy new thongs - like no one looking down from above can see me "Lording" it up! It has all the beauty of pretension - but with built in social distancing 🤦🏻‍♀️

    Looks fantastic! I just wish P&O had better reviews on Cruise Critic, it's really putting me off booking a cruise. I've been on this ship a couple of times (Melbourne Cup and Country Music cruise) and, on the whole, have enjoyed it but standards seem to be dropping if some of the reviews are to be believed. Thanks again for a top notch review.

      Ah you found it! Thanks for watching. On the plus side, Byron Beach access provided with this particular suite will add to the onboard amenity and experience... somewhat...

    Hi Adrian - we booked the 'Penthouse suite' for a sailing coming up on the Encounter, but its now showing in cruise control as a 5 bedroom family birth suite - do you know if this is the same one?

    • @TheCruiseandTravelGuy
      @TheCruiseandTravelGuy  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Kelane. Does cruise control happen to indicate what suite category it is? There is a 5 berth family suite on Deck 9, it’s a S8 category suite.
      The 5 berth wouldn’t be the traditional Penthouse Suite as you see in my video.

  • @Aviationlover53
    @Aviationlover53 ปีที่แล้ว

    Adrian, what’s the difference between pacific encounter and pacific adventurer?

    • @TheCruiseandTravelGuy
      @TheCruiseandTravelGuy  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not a lot - they’re sister ships. They have a slightly different layout on Decks 6/7 because Adventure has some window suites down on Deck 6.
      Adventure also has some additional suites on Deck 15, and Encounter uses this as kids club space from memory.
      Otherwise, there’s not much else to report.

    I’m deck 10 PB category. But it’s also saying “5 berth room” or whatever on cruise control. I’m confused, I upgraded to what they explained as a “penthouse suite”… am I in a suite or a 5 berth room?

    • @timmyrobinson1589
      @timmyrobinson1589 ปีที่แล้ว

      Looks like I found the answer - 5 berth on encounter is listed under the “suite” category. Largest rooms. Includes balcony and Byron beach club!

    • @TheCruiseandTravelGuy
      @TheCruiseandTravelGuy  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If it’s a PB, then it’s the one in my video. They’re midship on deck 10. It can cater for 5, but won’t be setup that way if you don’t need 5 people accommodated.
