That area isn’t rough. Boro was a nice place before all the immigrants came. The government have a lot to answer for unfortunately Middlesbrough was a cheap area so they moved all of the illegal immigrants flooded the town destroyed the culture. Nobody asked to be living with these people is a terrible thing that happened to Middlesbrough.
I don’t see any ‘immigrants’ starting their day by wandering the streets getting pissed like those three peasants at the beginning. One woman in a headscarf is responsible for that, is she?
I grew up in that area. Im 43 & it always had an immigrant community. They were respectful, worked & contributed. The schools also did a lot to integrate & raise awareness of the different cultures. Many factors contributed to the rapid downfall of the Gresham, Ayresome & town centre area we see here. The council moving out long standing residents & issuing compulsory purchase orders only to leave perfectly adequate housing rot for 15-20 years didn't help. When the council flattened large council estates, Whitney banks, Grove Hill & others, what was left of the town & areas of Linthorpe became the next available affordable housing for those on a low income. Those able to buy didn't want outdated & basic 2 up 2 down housing with no gardens or driveway for their cars. A lot of what you see is a result of poverty & the council not giving a toss.

You're a man and you were intimidated by someone looking through a curtain ?!
Hard to believe that area was decent back in the eighties,
Give one man a phone he'll use it to find a library.
Give another man a phone he'll use it to call his dealer.
Some people you cannot educate.
Middlesbrough is the worst place in NE by a long stretch
Stockton is worse.
@@thecraftyguy6358Agreed. Hartington road is the worst street I've ever seen in my life
@@Tom.J.O I'm just going to check that on Google Maps. Probably been through it years ago.
Got to visit Hartlepool and Gateshead proper north east towns!!
Lee Duffy, what a legend.
You have to go around Grangetown Billy i think it has the title of the first council estate in the UK to get police cctv cameras. If i see you there ill say hello mate.
I used to live in a bail hostel back 1998 it was very rough on grove hill 👍👍👍👍
Middlesbrough certainly has a lot more about it then this focusing on the obvious negatives to which any town/city has the boro is a large town which has an incredible history to be proud of but as a lot of the North East had her main industry and largest employers taken away from her the coal industry the steel industry to mention just the main two yet despite this Middlesbrough continues to develop and produce nationwide businesses or even global in some circumstances ship building another thing taken away from the boro dorman long who build Sydney harbour bridge and the world renowned Wembley arch all Middlesbrough based the government continues to take from the north east and yet dump all the Romanian asian and african trash upon us
Hartlepool has a lot of issues too if you ever do Hartlepool I’ll show you around 👍
Some parts of London are bad..........they look plush compared to parts of the North.
Billy you where litreally a stones throw away from where Duffy was stabbed before he died.
Few of the local bag heads at the start…
Middlesbrough centre is another world from what it was 20 years ago… houses in that area are used by migrants or students.. the council are slowly starting to pull it all down.
Other areas mentioned at the start are not as bad as that.. possibly with the exception of south bank and grange town.
Just council areas but most people are friendly.
Some nice places in Middlesbrough just not many.

At 6:20 a nice settee for someone, wonder if it's still there? plus a mattress at 6:37 looks a bit piss stained, and in need of fumigation.
I know a place in the midlands where I used to live he would not walk down the police would not go down so it makes me laugh when northerners talk about ruff 😂
