Happy 3 year podiversy!! Its crazy to think that I have been watching your videos for that long. I would love to hear about anything that you are reading or watching. Its one of my favorite segments in other knitting podcasts and it always a good way to pick up recommendations.
Congratulation on 3 years and beautiful new patterns 🎁🎂💐🧶🧶🧶 you are so talented. Thank you so much for amazing inspiration it’s such a joy to Watch and learn. The Cowl is beautiful - knitting art and the Dk sweater to 🥰
Congratulations on the 3 years podcast! 🥂💐🥰 Keep on going I’d say! Can’t wait to see the Bosca cowl pattern, although I live in the south of Spain, I already have the perfect yarn for it, a wonderful Portugese yarn, Spincycle style, but a bit more affordable 😊 and I want to knit this cowl, it’s so beautiful! Congratulations on this too 😍 See you next time soon 🤩🙏
Happy 3rd anniversary. I’ve been watching you since the beginning, love your designs, the sweater is a great design and I would love to knit it for my hubby 😍 👍
Thanks for 3 years 🏖🎉🎊 Like your work. I'm working in Erika Knights Cotton for the first time to try it for Sari Nordlund Ballard Tee. So fare like the fabrik. 🎈✨🎈
Still catching up on your videos. Life has been rough for me the past year. Glad you are doing well and am loving the patterns you are making. Happy 3 year anniversary! I can't believe it's been that long already. Love you and what you do. Here's to many more
Hello Jonathan it’s great to see you and hear such enthusiasm for knitting. I was really pleased you had such a lovely time in Cornwall. I live in south Devon but went to the Knitting Retreat down in Falmouth in February and visited Stitches and Cream (Jane the owner there ran the retreat). I agree it’s a great shop and has a wonderful selection of yarns. Hope your pattern/recipe planning comes to fruition and look forward to your next podcast. Lynda x
You can do a three needle bind off where you knit the front stitch and purl and back with the yarn between the layers with the wrong sides together. This produces a flat chain on the surface. I've done it on the tails of my Emotional Support Chickens. Maybe that would work and be a design element?
The Bosca cowl is fantastic. Where we live, it would be best to make it half as wide but that's a matter of geography - gets cold here but barely below freezing and not for long. I love the new shawl and can't wait to see the bigger one. congratulations on your success as a podcaster. Partly I think it's because you knit so beautifully and choose such beautiful colors but also, your personality is charming.
Congratulations 3 years. Love the sweater, simple but looks so good with that yarn. Been here from the beginning and you are so nice to listen at. I been doing sock tubes inspired by you. I have started to sew (and now I sewing a dress for my daughter 16 years). Currently knitting backwards on a half fisherman's rib top. The decreases didn't look good... I'm left handed and sometimes I have to mirror the decreases/increases and it's confusing sometimes. It's knitted flat and it's not my favourite construction method either. Looking forward to the nest podcast. 🤎
Thanks for three years of amazing podcasts. On the cowl I would do what you do in sewing the tree needle bindoff on the inside till you can't anymore and than graft the last stitches. But I am a seamstress so that logical for me and probably not for most knitters. The shawl pattern/recepie is a very good and smart idea of you can pull it of and I love you sweater. Sorry for the spelling mistakes but after the loss of a friend/coworker yesterday my brain not doing English very well. Much love from the Netherlands
🎉congratulations on your three year anniversary 🎉 I love that you’re designing more. I would like to test knit for you so I’ll wait patiently for your next episode 😂
Congrats on 3years! All your designs look very true to your esthetic. Very lovely. Looking forward to seeing the second sample of the Utility shawl next episode. Have a lovely beginning of summer. +++I am knitting the Tanemaki Scarf by Yucca.
Congrats on your 3 year anniversary, I have only just found you so I have lots of catching up to do. I am very lucky to have Stitches and Cream as my local yarn shop.
Congratulations on all of your success, Jonathan! I've been here since the beginning, it's so wonderful to see how far you've come. I LOVE the Utility Shawl and will absolutely knit one in some handspun yarn when it's ready. As for the Raglan - it's something I'd love to test if it's graded to men's size charts. Can't go wrong with a good basic! :)
Great sweater! It is amazing how the simplest detail can make such a strong impression. Very classy! Also, the yarn helps.😊 Congratulations on reaching your three year milestone!
3 years already, I've been with you from the start. Would've loved to have met you when you were in Cornwall, hope you come again, perhaps a meet and greet at Stitches and Cream next time. Love your design ideas ❤
I love your channel and just discovered you recently. Beautiful knits and so easy to listen to. I hope you don’t mind I “stole” your knitting needle microphone idea, except I used a drop spindle 😃. Happy Birthday to your channel. Lisa
Happy anniversary! I am always so excited she your videos pop up! I’m working on spring/ summer shawlettes and hope to embark on a summer tee today when I finish my little shawl. I feel like I should be finishing a sweater for winter but later this summer I will get those sleeves done so I’m all ready!
Happy anniversary, I can't believe it's been three years, I've been watching since the beginning when YT recommended your channel ☺️ one question I've wondered: what is your day job? It's so great you get time to sit and knit during lunch!
Happy Anniversary! I am very happy that I found your podcast. You are so engaging and refreshing, and I enjoy knitting along on a summer top as you talk about your knitting and sewing goals. I wish you success with your pattern writing, and I especially like the sweater and would consider knitting it for my husband, who wears a US men’s medium (not sure what that is in actual meters or inches, but maybe 38-40 inch?). Looking forward to the next episode. Cheers!
Congratulations Jonathan!! I’ve been watching since your 3rd episode and I’ve loved watching your journey. You have such beautiful taste and you’re always a breath of fresh air and color and creativity! I’m a ‘fly by the seat of my pants‘ kind of knitter so I would loooove a recipe included in your Utility Shawl pattern! I always but just barely enough yarn and don’t really care about gauge as much as the texture and drape of any given fabric 😂
Definitely interested in the raglan sweater. Those small details make all the difference, and aren't nearly as easy to achieve as they look. I hope you publish this one.
Dear Jonathan, your cowl looks lovely. I would graft it with a kitchener stitch using a sturdier grey yarn. I suppose every knitter has a piece of grey yarn lying around. I would love to hear more details about the woolly side of your cornwall trip. I am currently knitting the Tolsta tee, pattern by Rebecca Clow. Kind regards from Berlin😂
Congratulations 🎉 on three years and 30 episodes!!! I think the sweater looks fantastic, and even though the detail is simple, it elevates it. Happy knitting 💚🧶💚
This is my first time watching your channel. I the Bosca is beautiful, but probably the colorwork looks intense. The Utility shawl is awesome. Looking forward to seeing the large version finished. Most of all, I LOVE the sweater! It is so original. I hope it will be able to be modified for the female body.
Congrats on 3 years!🥳All your projects are simply beautiful…I’m in awe of your talent🥰I’d love a q & a…my question is…If you had to choose just one pattern to knit over & over & over, which one would you choose & why?
Three year?! I started watching since the second episode. Wow! Beautiful sweater. Yes pattern please. Working on Christmas projects. Cardigan, socks and maybe a cowl. The colors are bringing me so much joy.
Congratulations on 3 years and 30 episodes! Thats amazing! I’ve been around since episode 2 or 3. I found you when Kevin from Needles at the Ready said we needed to watch your work. He was right. I’m so glad I listened. I cannot wait to see what you go on to do with your knitting in the future. Have a lovely day!
Hi, a simple way to sew your cowl together is to add a selvedge stitch to both ends, then join with a mattress stitch seam. No need to do the provisional cast on and its almost as invisible as grafting!
Watching your podcast is a joy I look forward to every time! Congrats on your podiversary! 🎉 I absolutely love Bosca Cowl and would be delighted to take part in the test knit if and when you decide to open it. Working out that smooth join sounds like a challenge I can't miss! 😂 Thank you so much for everything you do to create this community
Loving ALL 👏 THE 👏 THINGS 👏🙌. Like many others have said, let us know how you want to do test knits. I’ve got a few fun skeins in stash that are only enough for accessories so recipe idea is fab! It’s such a great feeling to fully use up all the yarn for your project.
I love your sweater, I hope its one I can make. Call it "The Collar Ragland" or the "The Ragland Collar Sweater". I'm very proud of you Jonathan. You persevered, I'm glad you did not give up.😊
Love your jumper idea. I'd be keen to give it a go. I just finished a test knit for the Woolly Badger and have started a 2x2 ribbed beanie for my adult son. ❤
Happy 3rd Podcast Anniversary! I haven’t missed a single one of your episodes. I’m so excited about your designs as they perfectly reflect my knitwear aesthetic. I love, love, love the 3 designs you showcased today and would gladly test knit them all. You are amazingly talented. Regarding the mobius cowl, I agree that a Kitchener bind off using just the dream state would be the way to go.
I love the cowl AND the sweater. The details are beautiful and would be flattering for many sizes and I really hope you release the pattern. Let us know how/when you do calls for test knits. Your idea for a pattern and a recipe for the utility shawl is great, it makes sense for using special skeins we all have tucked away!
I've watched all 30 episodes. Congratulations. Love the new cowl. Perhaps you could try to use the Finchley graft on it and see if that works for you. Roxanne Richardson has a TH-cam that is easy to follow.
Really love the sweater as a basic w/jeans type of garment so would be very interested in the pattern when you are ready to release it. I'm already planning my Xmas knitting and both of the shawls would make great presents for family memebers. Really enjoy your knitting ethetics. Great show.
Congrats on 30 episodes and on your patterns! My first thought when I saw your raglan design was "it's so hard to find basic patterns designed with masculine lines in mind, I hope this gets published" so that's how I feel about it, haha. I tried to modify my first raglan sweater to be less overtly "feminine" than most of the free patterns out there (narrower neck opening, longer boxier body, no bust shaping, no eyelet raglans, etc) but it was my first sweater ever and I plan to reknit it now that I have some life experience. I think the details on your raglan are interesting enough to deserve grading and that we need more sweaters that don't presume the only people who knit sweaters with fairly straightforward construction are women knitting for themselves-- I certainly am interested in knitting it!
Congrats on your three years and 30th episodes anniversary. I am so looking forward for the Bosca cowl to be released I have the yarn for a hat and cowl set just waiting. It could be so fun with a Q&A once in a while. I have a Question: Which podcasters (knitting related) do your watch and can you recommend
Wow- three years! Happy Podiversary Jonathan! I’ve enjoyed every episode an look forward to your adventure with designing. Your sweater looks fantastic- a wardrobe staple but with some subtle design features.
Oh 3 years already. Congratulations. I'm always looking forward for a new episode. Was Great to have every week new episode. I have finished Bosca had 1 month ago but not published on IG as I gift for my brother and I haven't passed over. The cowl looks amazing will knit it definitely. The raglan jumper with the nice details looks great. Greetings from hospital in Prague. Hope tomorrow will go home.
Hi Jonathan, I would totally want the pattern for that simple design raglan jumper! I've never knitted a top down garment before but this one would make me have a go!! x
I love the bosca cowl and would definitely like to make your unnamed raglan for my son too. Question, if you decide to do your Q&A, I picked up some unbanded yarn at a charity shop, is there a way I can find out about the fibre, wool or acrylic, as it is very similar to a spin cycle colourway in a chunky weight. Thank you for keeping me entertained and for adding to my future makes list!
Congrats on 3 years!! I love the animal footage, so sweet. Love the Bosca cowl I picture it with a navy pea coat on a cold winters day! I am very interested in your sweater it is really a nice design so keep up the designing work. Can’t wait to knit your other designs.
Cannot believe it’s now three years. I have been here at the beginning and just so enjoy sharing your days with you. I am knitting on a tank top in Rowan cotton and fluff wool. It’s super 🧶
Congratulations. Sofor the cowl bind off, how about cast on with Spincycle and work one round then when you’ve finished work a couple of rounds in the Spincycle and Kitchener together. Obviously this assumes you don’t like the reverse colour placement and there would be enough Spincycle. Otherwise I don’t mind three needle bind off and you could do inside out for half and then switch to right way round and make sure the ridge was on the outside. Good luck
I like the idea of the pattern/ recipe for the shawl. Perhaps something that allows people to use different weights of yarn to knit - include guide to calculating increase frequency and number of target stitches?😂
Dear Jonathan; Congratulations on this amazing milestone; I've been happily following you since the beginning. Love that you are dabbling in design; looking foward to seeing what you create!! Take care and Happy Making!! ~Best Always~ Lori
Currently I’m also using Ghost Ranch - in my Tessellated Cardigan, I usually gravitate to that colour and then wonder why my garments look so similar 🙄 With finishing off the cowl, I agree with several others above in that I’d Kitchener with a non fluffy yarn in the same colour - I’ve done this with mattress stitching my Nutiden /mohair garments and you can’t see it’s different
Congrats on 3 years and I have followed you from the beginning. Such a shame the cowl isn’t released until later in the year. I live in tropical Australia and it was 13c this morning and I could use that cowl😂
Oh Happy Anniversary! Has it been 3 years! Where has the time gone! I have watched you from the very beginning! I remember all the beautiful shawls you had made!
I just finished a child’s cardigan. Looking at finishing a couple Wips from last summer. Tankar tee,Elton cardigan. I also have my own version of Funfetti, using the pattern, shape to make random striped in malabrigo Finito 4 colors, ochre, blue, green and black. Want to CO a Jesse maed tee pattern but want a different yarn choice. Planning felted clogs/ slippers for family for Xmas fiber trends pattern. Love love love this pattern. Maybe I should make Rebecca’s tee??? ❤I love the sweater. I have 3 adult sons and I appreciate your perspective on sweaters that you love and wear
Have you ever been to Darn Knit Anyway in Stillwater, Minnesota? It’s a really fun yarn store. Also, would you ever do a knitting meetup next time you are in Minnesota?
Maybe you can graft with the fluffy yarn if you wet it first or put a tiny bit of hair conditioner or similar as lubricant, which is washed off later. Haven’t tried it. Just an idea.
Jonathan. Love the sweater. Won’t the beautiful detail be muted and hidden with mohair. I vote for tons of sizes without mohair lol. Your sweater will definitely be a huge hit. Diane from Boston
Oh yes questions. Great idea. I don’t knit summer knits . I’ll switch to socks if it’s too hot for bigger projects. I have a Jen Steingas in lopi on my needle and finishing an inclinations cowl. Thank you. What do you do for work? Who taught you to knit?
Happy 3 year podiversy!! Its crazy to think that I have been watching your videos for that long. I would love to hear about anything that you are reading or watching. Its one of my favorite segments in other knitting podcasts and it always a good way to pick up recommendations.
I says to the guy.. I love the bit of interest raglan! I can't wait for the pattern.
Congrats on 3 years 🎉!

Congratulations on 3 years! I would love for you to share your Raglan, when you showed it I thought about my brother in law and how he would love it.
Love your sweater design and I love brown sweaters.

Congratulatons (ECHO, Echo, echo) on 3 years and new patterns. The cowl colorwork makes me think of sections of railway track.

Love the sweater Jonathan
Congratulations Jonathan!! I’ve been watching since your 3rd episode and I’ve loved watching your journey. You have such beautiful taste and you’re always a breath of fresh air and color and creativity! I’m a ‘fly by the seat of my pants‘ kind of knitter so I would loooove a recipe included in your Utility Shawl pattern!
Cowl colours are fab, pity I"m not a cowl fan. Your jumper was a clean and classic look. Congrads on your 3 years.Keep up the good work!
This is my first time watching your channel. I the Bosca is beautiful, but probably the colorwork looks intense. The Utility shawl is awesome. Looking forward to seeing the large version finished. Yes, really really like your sweater pattern....I would be interested in a 3 x version if possible.
Nice work
Omg Jonathan I love the sweater pattern you are developing, and your patterned cowl ❤❤❤❤
Jonathan, all your designs are amazing…..huge congratulations 🎉! As always, I enjoyed your podcast….look forward to the next one!

I would absolutely knit the sweater. I love a simple stockinette sweater and dk is my sweet spot. 🥰 it looks like a wonderful wardrobe staple. X
That sweater is gorgeous ❤❤ absolutely interested in that pattern. Congrats on the anniversary and on an episode with all your own designs
Congrats on your anniversary . So nice watching you start putting out your designs .

Your patterns are really inspired! I’d love to knit all of them. You have a great creativity. Looking forward to watching more!
Yes to the sweater … yes to fingering and mohair my favourite combo .. thanks for showing your design process .
Dear Jonathan; Congratulations on this amazing milestone; I've been happily following you since the beginning. Love that you are dabbling in design; looking foward to seeing what you create!! Take care and Happy Making!! ~Best Always~ Lori
Currently I’m also using Ghost Ranch - in my Tessellated Cardigan, I usually gravitate to that colour and then wonder why my garments look so similar 🙄
With finishing off the cowl, I agree with several others above in that I’d Kitchener with a non fluffy yarn in the same colour - I’ve done this with mattress stitching my Nutiden /mohair garments and you can’t see it’s different
Congrats on 3 years and I have followed you from the beginning. Such a shame the cowl isn’t released until later in the year. I live in tropical Australia and it was 13c this morning and I could use that cowl😂
Gorgeous knitting! I love that you are designing your own knits, thanks for sharing.
Yes please release the sweater pattern lovebthe design..and especially the neck...hope to see it soon..keep up the beautiful work
Oh Happy Anniversary! Has it been 3 years! Where has the time gone! I have watched you from the very beginning! I remember all the beautiful shawls you had made!
Yes to Russian grafting for your tubular cowl. Not as invisible as Kitchener stitch but much easier to work with the fluffy yarn.
