Hey Chuck, great video illustrating the truck. I ordered mine a few days ago and can't wait for its arrival. Your video gave me some good insights to what to expect.
I put a set of hub extenders and a set of adjustable proline trenchers.....gave a lot more width....much more stable...I’m very pleased ......love your vids,,,,,I just started watching....can’t wait for more......🇺🇸👍
I have a few questions I have the same truck and you said last time u broke it you were running a 3s did u have any issues with anything burning up.? Next question is it normal for it to have no torque from a dig for the first second or if you get in some thick grass it has a hard time getting moving forward but once it does it's like a turbo lag then tons of power. Tks man
Nothing ever burned up on 3S but it will shut down on thermal cut off if it heats up. I do notice a little bottom end cogging with Volcano and the Camo X4. The Kaiju runs flawless throughout the RPM range.
Tks man for responding so quickly I am having fun with the truck and just wanted to make sure I didn't burn it up if I ran a 3s.. And am glad to hear that the bottom end lagging is normal.
@@TheThemeParkJunkies The lag on these Hobvywing based ESC'S are adjusted through programming. There are various videos here on TH-cam to adjust the punch control on your esc to reduce the lag. I have several of these ESC'S and the are 4 levels of punch control that can be set. The last level no4 is 100% punch setting and will remove the lag that is experienced when throttle is applied.
This is the brushless version which is a little faster than the brushed. Its also running on a LiPo battery which has a little more punch and a flatter service curve than NiMe batteries.
Rival MT all the way. Much better platform. I have both trucks, and the Volcano has too many problems, it bends half shafts, and the truck has many flaws. I converted my volcano to brushed as it did not handle brushless well at all. Go with the Rival, again, much better platform then the Volcano.
