- * Hi darlings * - I realised I still hadn't shared my Kefalonia travel vlog, we were there when we heard the news about the queen, and it didn't feel right posting this earlier but it's such a lovely vlog that I wanted to share it! We heard the news of her passing the evening of the sunset dinner, it was of course very emotional and I didn't feel right vlogging after the news, so apologies for the abrupt end but I hope you enjoy it! xoxo

Josie, I am saying it with love, I promise - you've really got to stop apologizing for not wearing makeup, for your hair scraped back, or for not looking your best (although you ALWAYS look lovely), for having an Invisalign induced lisp, or for the mess in your space. I am guessing that there is some cultural reason, as the British are particularly polite, but there is nothing wrong, regretful or offensive about any such things. These are what makes you relatable and normal (for lack of a better word). You are a confident young woman and there is no need for apologies!

Soooo agree with your comment Elina. I’ve wondered why the many apologies too. Here are some questions that pop to mind as we learn about from our favourite vloggers.
Are the apologies because you don’t feel perfect without perfect skin, hair, nails? Should we feel in some sort of way when not wearing makeup and hair pulled back, as though it’s a look we should be ashamed of or that we are not looking our best? Is there something wrong or unsightly when not wearing makeup, particularly when the skin looks healthy? Most women strive for that fresh, no-make up, healthy look even when putting on a little concealer or tinted moisturizer/sun block. I enjoy following vlogs where I learn about healthy, pampered skin also the ones with full makeup.. they are fun and informative too. So many questions on a Sunday afternoon. 😆

As an American, it's so fun to hear Charlie learn about the Louisiana Purchase and American history! We learn so much about European and Asian history, especially English history simply because of our roots, and it's always surprising to hear what Europeans don't know about American history.

The Greek Islands really are the most idyllic places to visit on holiday. My favourite is Skiathos. It has the most breath-taking headland walks, really takes your breath away, stunning!
OMG...I too have been to Skiathos and loved it in '84. I was told to go there and I loved the food, the cobblestone streets and how beautiful it was to be by the sea....!!!! Yes!

Thanks, Charlie. I rewatched the video to hear about your book. It wasn’t in the notes, but I knew that my son would love it. It’s his 40th birthday next week. I just ordered the book from Amazon as one of his gifts. I also bought the children’s version for my 9 year old grandson whose birthday is in November. I think it’s nice for you to know that you reach so many people around the world. It might seem that we might have little in common because we are Jamaican immigrants living in the USA, but we do easily relate to you in many ways. I started with watching Josie for the clothes and makeup, but look forward to seeing you in the vlogs because your interests are very similar to those of my adult children.

Btw Josie I have the same tree in my yard but in white and we call it “Angel Trump Tree” b/c the flowers look like trumpets that the angels use! It comes in yellow, white, pink and peach! It’s one of those that dies to the ground during winter then grows from the root in the spring!

Being able to go on vacation looking over a body of water is so healing for the soul ! My husband and I got to go on a Veterans retreat in the North Woods by the border of Canada. It was our first vacation since our honeymoon in 2016.

Just returned from Paxos, have been to Ithaca, we are paddle boarders & take our inflatables with us, which means we have total access to all those inaccessible coves on these wonderful islands of Greece.
Greece has a magical way of calming the soul and your ready for the seasons to come. Being a recipe developer and food writer, I totally agree, there is so much Greek food that one can eat, having said that, it is the longevity to life. Already booked out next September holiday to Greece.
Many years ago we went flatilla sailing in Greece great fun, but have to know your friends well as small space.😊

I have also read the book " prisoners of geography" from Tim Marshall and you can understand geopolitics and it is really important nowdays!!
