The QOL you get from using electrocute is actually not matched. Its like playing a ice damage build with the damage of a lightning build. Thank you for the suggestion
Thank you very much for this video. I am in act 3 now and that annoying blackjaw had killed me countless times with his erratic attacks until I installed electrocute.
I've been running it as one of my links on my Cast on Shock Lightning Conduit setup since they made Considered Casting not apply to triggered spells anymore and it already can't shock and it's pretty insane for bossing. 3-4 shocks on a boss and they are immediately electrocuted. This is the sort of setup that the Thunderstruck notable you pointed out seems to be built towards.
@gabrielsmith3993 Do yourself a favor and eat vanilla ice cream. This is a game and people want to have fun doing what they enjoy. Every knows what Stormweaver is all about. Let him do something a little different if he wants.
I’ve tried the Electrocute Gloves on a Three Dragons build and found that it applied both Freeze and Electrocute simultaneously. I didn’t stick with it at the time since it was a bit redundant on a Lightning Warp build (stuff died way too fast) but now I want to try it on a Spark build!
Super bird's eye view question, but what's the point of an ice sorc at this point in time? Is there even any benefit now that Lightning has a matching freeze-like ailment? I'm still having lots of fun in t15's on my Ice Sorc, and I do love the animations, but every time I step back to analyze how to push the build further, it just feels like it'd be 10x beneficial to go pure lightning
Thank you for the update and consistently solid info! Do you happen to know whether the shaper of storms ascendancy from stormweaver would enable you to shock even with the electrocute gem? Or does the latter cancel out the ascendency?
Thanks for the heads up on the annoint, I'll be speccing one when I get home ASAP. I'm curious, have you ever tested your shock values without the support gem? I read the other comments regarding Kitoko gloves, but I'm having a hard time justifying the gloves versus rare gloves and losing out on 30%+ shocks. But maybe my viewpoint is different as Blood Mage Archmage that can't stack cast speed as effectively as Stormweaver. So the rare gloves would only give me life, like 250-300 mana, and crit dmg? Different story if I wasn't already res capped with Kitoko.
Do you still think it's worth it to anoint lightning rod in the super end game version of the build or do you prefer electrocute overall? I'm personally leaning more towards sticking with the extra damage support gem and killing things faster. Also being able to shock with spark is nice.
Could the Unique gloves like Kitoko's Current work with this strategy? The reduced cast/attack speed kinda blows. But then you could instead use a damage support. My guess is that it's not worth giving up the mods you could get from rare gloves.
Saw your response on another comment: "My current gloves give me 70 resists, 150 life, and 110 mana with no downside. Kitoko's gives you nearly nothing AND reduced cast speed. It's a fine starter glove to get off the ground but you'd ideally always stop using them eventually." So yeah good gloves are just better. Cheers!
@@Aarimous 1 additional damage link is better than -10%cast speed but ok. also it works for ALL the damage not just the one that u linked with it. "no downsides" isnt really true when the downside is one less link on your main skill. also you can corrupt them for only -7%cast speed i belive.
@@lolleonlolable Your not just losing cast speed, your also losing all the es on the gloves for EB, over 100% resistance, 100+ life and mana which directly contributes to archmage damage.
This might be something I use on my lightning arrow build once I have more links. Right now it's kind of a nerf to lightning arrow, at least for bossing. I was already using electrocuting arrow on bosses, but now it will build up more slowly.
I added Electrocute to Lightning rod and Conductivity as a 5L on my LA, so far it's crushing stuff faster than before with better QOL. I am gonna go hard on the electrocute buildup and path to Thunderstruck to see what become of it. Also have to invest hard into lightning pen.

Hey Sub, thanks for all your videos and guides! As you seem to know your way around game development, I'm curious if you've heard about the "latency spike" issue in PoE 1 and now especially PoE 2. There are a lot of people having this problem, we have a thread in the official forums with over 70 pages now, but still no response from GGG at all about this issue. I uploaded a video on my TH-cam account to showcase the issue, it's the same for everyone. Do you have any idea what could cause such an issue? We need some big streamers to talk about it, so it gets more attention. Can't post the link to the thread here, but it's called "Continuous stutter/lag" in the bug report section.
I'm having a really rough time finding reasonable support gems to scale Hexblast without resorting to really obscure or indirect gimmicks; controlled destruction is pretty straightforward, but since it disables crits it throws out basically every other gem I can use to scale chaos out the window it kinda turns into the Only damage scaling support you can use if you go that way. The only reason I'm okay with making that trade is that I'm not ready to convert to crit anyways, but the time will come. Any advice? Only thing that really seems to be on the table is Chaos Mastery, but apart from that, the lack of straightforward more modifiers on chaos supports is really putting a hard ceiling on me right now.
@@Watch_DerekI may have spoke too soon lol. Ignore me, I’m only on cruel and using the Doryani Scale Mail to drop enemy lightning resistance equal to mine. I was using Galvanic Shards and Shockburst rounds and my build got fucked because they added Cannot Shock to Electrocute Support. The character revolves around building up both ailments since monsters become resistant to electrocute/freeze after being inflicted with it, and using Shockburst for massive damage once it has either lightning ailment.
