What a cool demo reel!! The weight feels so right on (especially with the jack hammer part)! The only thing I would say is that the music is a little bit loud... It would suck if a recruiter was watching it, went to lower the volume an in so doing, they missed one of your shots.
It is easier to animate and one should always start with baby steps if you can't make the wooden doll feel alive then you can't do it on organic characters
