Hello, pls need an advice I have mini incubator the spaceis limited Some of the eggs can't be placed on side it staying almost vertical for first 2 days tip down Its ok or I must to order extra incubator asap
Hey I have a question! I'm currently having some white peacocks hatch in our incubator since our peahens don't like to be consistent sitting on them. We have one that has made a hole about the diameter of dime, and has been pipping for about 12 hours with no progress. Is there ever a need to assist in the case of helping them hatch? Or should I take the loss on a weak peachick? I also may be worried I raised the humidity a little too late since it was at 60-65% and think that the membrane around out peachick may have dried up. If that's the case, should I mist some water on the small opening? Thanks!
Sorry for the late reply! After the first pip it can take them about 24 hours to start unzipping/fully break out of the egg. They usually rest for quite a while after pipping while they absorb the yolk. If it takes longer than 24 hours though I would try to help out if possible. It is always a risk but there are lots of videos on how to do it. I hope it works out for you!!!!
Outstanding! Kinda frightening that ya buy so many eggs have have such little return. Why buy from ebay as opposed to large farms, i.e. McMurry? Thanks so much for sharing. That's a lot of pressure.
hi there! thanks for sharing. need your advise. what if the egg shells are so bloody ? and that the chick seems to still be attached to the shells. seems like mine comes out with the yolk sca still protruding out of the abdomen.
Thank you so much for watching! Usually chicks unzip after they have absorbed the yolk and the blood from the veins. I'm not exactly sure what I would do in this situation. Have you checked the humidity and temperature in your incubator? Is it possible those were off a bit? So sorry I don't have a better answer for you!
That was realy informative.. thank you..am planing to do commercial duck farming here in africa..looking for a bussiness partner who has experience like yours..writing from kenya..
I have some question? Like, if I buy eggs from eBay than bring those eggs to my country Bangladesh by UPS/DHL/FedEx then will those eggs okay to hatch 🐣 (It takes normal 5days to send goods from USA to Bangladesh)
You'd likely have to check on local restriction laws on shipping hatching eggs potentially but I am not sure. in terms of timeline: 5 days is ok for the eggs to ship! Thank you so much for watching!
Hi, quick question. First time doing peafowl eggs in incubator, and I added water for humidity on day 25, 2 days ago, for lockdown. It’s day 27 but humidity looks low. What do we do? Thanks in advance
Hi there! How low did it get? I would open up the incubator quickly and just add some water if possible. As long as they aren't pipping you should be ok to do that. Thank you so much for watching our channel.
Thank you for checking out our channel! The reason it is important to stabilize the air sac before incubation is that once you place the eggs in the incubator you have to roll them three to 5 times a day. If you hadn't put them in there with a stabilized air sac, the air sac would likely detach and move around as the eggs roll. If the air sac isn't in the correct position at time of hatch, the chick will die. The first air the chick breathes is within the air sac so it is crucial that it be where the head of the chick ends up. Hope that clarifies! Thanks again for watching!
I read 99.5 and I'm currently trying to get the incubator to stop screaming & get humidity set. Its a lot more fun than I thought it would be .. I'm excited to see if these 5 eggs hatch I don't know what I'm doing at all lol

@@TheBirbKing I had two out of the three eggs fully develop. I think my humidity got too low a day or two before their hatch date. I cracked them open and there was two fully developed peachicks that didn’t hatch 🥲. The experience was worth it though!
@@theplayfarmer9324 it was a great pleasure to see the eggs hatching . I bet they are grown and pretty now. Were the eggs costly, including the delivery?
@@ydaci2011 Thank you so much for watching! The average price per egg in our experience can be anywhere between 10-30 dollars depending on how rare the breed. Buy and incubator or find someone with a broody hen. Eggs are good for hatching until around day 7, then they start to lose fertility. Some are still hatch-able until day 15 if stored correctly.
