Lol Raoul I had the samething with my wheel coming off in my 67 chevelle video. I had just said something to the effect of "just finished this one up" and the darn wheel fell off. Awesome build, and great video. Keep up the great work my friend
Thank you! That is how these things play out. I finished the video, then glued the wheel in place. After that I was tempted to redo the video. Decided to leave it in!
The tr debuted at Paris auto show in 1984. Third brake lights on u.s.legal cars became mandatory for 1986. Tr got two rear mirrors for 1987. Black bumpers stayed on tr until 1992 when upgraded to 512tr. Got a 64 Cadillac convertible from tubbs? Feel he deserves equal time! Salute!
Thank you! I knew the Miami Vice cars were 86 models and I knew the first year for Testarrosa was 1985. I mixed that up a bit in my info. But I didn't know that the 85 model didn't have the third brake light! Thanks!
Great build that looks great I was never a fan off the show are the two sets off cars they used i perfered the 308 Ferrari they used on magnum pi tho they were not great performance wise the 1977 too 1985 308,s were beautiful cars .as all ferrari were .✌🏿
Because of Miami Vice the Testarossa is one of my favorite Ferraris. People always comment on "how wide" the car is. Do you know it's only 3 inches wider than a Countach??? Great build!!! Loved the video!!!!
It is a lot longer and wider than the 512 BBI it replaced and is a much better road car. The Countach is a pretty big car as well but the styling really hides it. The Testarrosa’s wedge styling accentuates it.
Like how the kit turned out and it's always good to hear the historical background of the cars you build. Watched the first couple seasons of Miami Vice but stopped following it after a while.
It is nice to hear about the real car, you did your homework. I built a 1/12 scale 1968 Shelby the one that Kevin Costner in the movie Bull Durham. It was a Japanese kit and I had to cut the top off so it could be a convertible. I used the movie for a reference guide so that I could get the color and all the rust spots. I remember stoping and starting the movie to get it right. It came out real good. Here I read that the real car was purchased by Kevin’s wife and she had it restored and he got it as a birthday gift. It was a great model car build, I enjoyed doing it and that is what it was all about.
I"m not really into exotics but I've done one or two.. I wouldn't mind doing this one if I could locate one since Monograms are my favorite kits to build..
Awesome job on the Ferrari!!!! I gotta say white is one of the hardest colors to paint and your white came out amazing!!!! I'm actually afraid to paint white I always have crap luck with that color.

That's a 1986 model year, look at the high mounted 3rd brake light. That brake light is not on a 1985 model year Testarossa.

I really enjoy reading about the cats as I build them. It makes the build a little more intimate.
