Bought a similar tent, same problem with piece coming out. Used pvc to connect it yesterday. Used weighted bags on legs - worked great, but Today a small gust of wind came thru n bent the plastic coupling that held the 13' side top frame together which caused a post to bend at the top & now it's no hood to me. I had mesh side panels which kept bugs out, but seemed to hold in more wind. I opened the mesh sides, didn't help. In hindsite I needed a post midway between the 13' side & between the 10' spaced posts on the 20' sides. I also would have tethered 3 paracords per post & strapped the covering top to the poles using zip cords - no rain in So Cal. Lastly I may try to add steel or wood supports along pole sides & attach harness straps down over the top. Heck I may have to build my own. It covered my 9 x 18 above ground pool...for 18 hours...

Oh no! Luckily ours did fantastic for the wedding, no storms came through to test it or give us a heart attack!

I know this video is a couple years old, but I'm hoping to get a couple 10x30 tents for shade for my upcoming wedding (looking at essentially the same ones you did, just bigger). This is very helpful! My question is, how long does it take to break back down (since it's reinforced with tape on the poles). We have to be out of the venue area at a certain time, so I want to know what I'm dealing with!

I know this sounds bad, but it was a 1 time use for use and had no other plans for it. So we took it down by destroying it and disposing of it.

If trashing it does seem like something ya wanna do😅
I'm thanking a switch blade or leave a small tab(on tape while taping it) to be able to unwrap the tape faster. You can also ask some trusted guests to help take it down😊

How heavy was the weight you used for the middle pole that’s on the concrete

It was an antique milk can with rocks in it, guessing it was about 20 pounds.
