If I fit the front and rear calipers from the F series to my E90 335I, ending up with the 370mm front and 345mm rear, do I need to upgrade the Brake Master Cylinder, or ABS system in any way?
Hey I wanted to know what rotors I can use on a 2006 bmw 325i e90 manual transmission. I want to put all 4 calipers breaks breaks from a E82 brembos 6 piston an the rear one. Should I just use the rotors that the e82 uses ?
Hi, You can use the front rotors from e82 but the rear will depend on the year of e82. Can you measure the height of the rear rotor ? Pm me through Facebook 👍🏻
There are two types of rear rotors for e82 calipers. They’re both 324mmx22mm but one has a height of 66mm and the other of 76mm. To use them on E90post you need the 66mm height variant pn 34216795755
Amazing. Just scored a full set of Brembo f calipers with front disc only and was wondering how I can fit rear calipers on my e87 130i. Based on the information in your video I found out my original rear discs are 66,1mm height, large handbrake; If I understood the video correctly I need E60 rear discs, correct?
I'm confused deep hub is 67mm shallow hub is 63mm. For f chassis brembo, step 1 is deep hub 67mm, step 2 is shallow hub 63mm, on step 3 you said deep up which should be 67mm? You didn't say, and on step 4 you said shallow hub and said 67mm. So what is the height for step 3? Layout 3 and 4 use the same rotor. What layout is use for e90 small handbrake?
Hey man I came across your videos trying to find info on upgrading my brakes. I have a 2011 335i m sport sedan… I want to upgrade and thinking of going with the f30 340mm caliper/rotor set for the front since i have 18” V style 193 wheels and was wondering for the rear can I use the e8x caliper and 324x22mm rotor? because I don’t want to run a bigger 345mm rotor in the rear with rear f30 calipers.
@@vysgarage thank you for such a quick reply. Will I need to order some eccentric bushings from you for the e8x rear calipers or will they bolt straight on?
I have a e91 with big hand brake and shallow hub and I was wondering what car or part number is the rotor 324 in option 2 for the first caliper off the Ex chasis.
I'm looking into Fx brakes on my 2010 E91 330d. Looking at my specs I have 185mm handbrake 67mm hubs. Therefore I take it I need to use method 2 using the E60 345mm x 24mm discs with a 63mm hub. Am I right in saying the only modification I need to make is to replace the caliper bushes with the eccentric ones? If so, which bolts do I need to use? You say original bolts but the eccentric bushes have smaller bolt holes? Once the correct bolts are used along with the eccentric bushes and E60 discs, am I right in saying its a direct plug and play? Also I'm looking at the Fx brakes on the front. I believe my car has the smaller 330mm discs. Am I right in saying the Fx 340mm discs and calipers bolt straight on with no modifications? I've been doing a little research in to this front an rear conversion / upgrade and have been reading a lot of conflicting information. This video seems to be just what I needed. Oh and just to add I'm running 19" wheels with ET31 on the front and ET38 on the rear. So I'm guessing clearance will not be an issue.
@@vysgarage Thats great and thank you for such a quick reply. But what about the bolts? In the video you say original bolts, but the eccentric bushes have smaller bolt holes?
F chassis calipers have m12 bolt holes, E chassis have m10 bolts, so when using f calipers on e cars you use the inserts to reduce the bolt size to m10 and to locate the Caliper in correct position, so you should use original e90 bolts.
