I have a simple solution to Legionnaires. I’m just not going to play against them casually and I will not attend events where they are allowed in their current form. Simple As.
The rule is extremely poorly worded: "Seek: When selecting a valid target, operatives cannot use terrain for cover. If the rule is Seek Light, operatives cannot use Light terrain for cover. Whilst this can allow such operatives to be targeted (assuming they're visible), it doesn't remove their cover save (if any)." To me it remains unclear what "cannot use terrain for cover" means. Apparently - judging from the last sentence - using cover for "cover saves" is not implied. But then again you could argue that the last sentence of the rule only applies to "Seek (Light)", and not to "Seek". So what's the consensus on this rule? "Seek" gets rid of cover saves, while "Seek (Light)" does not? It seems as if "Seek" was intended to replace the "Indirect" rule from the old KT 1:1. So this would suggest it ONLY applies to target selection and does not affect cover saves at all.
14:20 Shrivetalon moved 1 inch sideways (1st AP), then 6 inches forward (2nd AP), then drops Grisly Marker (3rd and...4th AP?). Does he get 4 AP somehow?
What are those line lasers? I have the army painter one and it sucks. Also any chance any new dry erase boards /token holders are coming out for this edition?
52:25 I don't understand this interaction, maybe I missed something earlier and not having actual equipment pieces/tokens on the board makes it hard to keep track. Legionary wants to pop through the door to shoot Death Korps. Death Korps player says the Kriegsman is concealed in cover? But he absolutely isn't. To get concealment from cover you need to be in control range of the terrain AND it needs to be intervening. Unless there was an invisible heavy barricade the Legionary should have been able to make this shot, no? Also, I see that it's strong, but not understanding how razor wire is broken.
Great observation, on my mdf terrain there is a smallfoot that comes out that you can hide a model behing at different points within the stronghold. Its hard to catch on the overhead cam. The model was in heavy cover and on conceal. The raver wire was more that 2 inches away so he couldnt use the 2 inch rule either. If youtube let me post pictures id post a picture here. Ok I see the corner on the terrain now. I could see the Kriegsman squishing himself into that corner to not get shot. So the position of the razor wire also made so the Legionary had no way to make it far enough through the door to get the 2 inch rule, so he has to get on the vantage to make the shot. Now I understand!
You guys need to carefully read the rules. Seek light allows you to target a concealed model behind light cover but they still retain cover saves. Reread concealed position… The acolyte only heals d3 on crits otherwise it’s 1. Spotter only works if you are within 3” of the spotted operative. Read read read.
Hi! A question about the doors: when the shrivetalon uses move + dash to stay behind the door, I can't, because the control range and visibility works between the door, right? So he has to charge. And then he can do Hatchway fight
that happens when you nerf piercing (especially plasma), change from 6 to 3 objectives, introduce victory points for killing AND give elites tools for MORE survivability (even ignoring piercing at times)

SEEK = TARGETING
SATURATE = COVER

@@Squad-Games-Entertainment You have that Ploy to gain saturate on your guns, so it costs a CP but gets you that bonus when firing from vantage.
Tp2 legionary played fickle fates. He shot at a ready operative, he didn't need to reroll he had punishing.

Quicksilver speed worsens your hit. It doesnt remove an attack. Idk why he keeps taking an attack away.
Guard seem so dependent on getting lucky (but also requiring a skilled player) - if your DKoK gunners miss or die, can be gg in turn 1
This is why you play Blooded - so when you inevitably die horribly you at least deal 1d3+2 wounds to an enemy within 2".
The snipers concealed shot has to be the first shot they take you cant save it sadly
