I’m super excited for the Battlefield 2042 beta! I’ve been waiting months to come back and give it a go. I really want to have a good quality stream for the coming months…. Here’s my story 😭
Holy Christ, bro.. I give you props and respect! Doing your due diligence and research to a frickin T. Hoping that everything is smooth sailing from here, man. Welcome back and I'm really looking forward to your content. Been a fan since your BF4 clan days and watched your gameplays, which helped me get better.. So, thank you.
dude, that sounds horrifying, i'm so sorry you had to go through that. if you have any audio issues, i'm down to help. i'm not that familiar with streaming, but i'm an audio engineer, so i know my way around interfaces and their struggles. plus i also have a focusrite scarlett and used voicemeeter in the past, so maybe i can help.
Thanks man, I really appreciate it 💪 I have things sorted out now. Unfortunately the “mainstream” methods didn’t work for me. I ram into weird quirks. The scarlet 2i2 only recording in the left audio channel really through a wrench in things After downloading the proper drivers allowing me to downmix to mono worked, but the interface did not play nice with the drivers. After reformatting (because the drivers were freakin’ immortal) and having voice meter work, the microphone worked great on the stream PC I appreciate the offer :)
@@boogly Yeah, the scarlett recording into the left channel only was probably due the sum of your audio being stereo. With the microphone audio mixed in, the scarlett interpreted your 1-input as left and the other (probably not used) input as right, since it tried to create a stereo signal. That's a common issue in music production when people create stereo tracks with mono inputs. I'm not 100% sure how different software deals with that issue and i guess many don't think about mono/stereo compatibility. There are some quick fixes in audio production like cloning the signal to the right channel and lowering the volume of both, but I don't know how well this would work in the context of live streaming. When you mentioned in the video that updating the drivers really messed things up i was a little shocked to be honest. Thats definitely something focusrite needs to take a look at, because that's just stupid. I'm really glad you figured things out though and i'm super excited for the new gameplay! :)
