Welcome back to another video! I know it's been a while since I've posted a legit penpal with me video, but one is coming up, i promise! Thank you for supporting me and my inconsistent posting schedule ♡♡

Do you have any tips for people looking to start penpalling?
Yes!! I think it's always good to start with someone you know, like an internet friend or a childhood friend you want to get in touch with again. But if you want to meet someone new, that's ok too!! I recommend starting with penpals from the same country. Shipping fees are cheaper and it also takes less time for your letters to reach each other. It's a good way to test out whether you think this would be a good hobby for you or not^^. When choosing people to be penpals, don't be afraid to be a little selective! So much of the snail mail process is the connection you have with the other person, so it is important to chose someone you think you'd vibe with. And lastly, please don't be convinced that penpalling is all about stationery, it's not!! The most important (and the only thing you need, really,) is the letter. Stationery is definitely something you can collect over time if you'd like to, but there's no 'threshold' of the amount of stationery you need in order to start penpalling. When I first started, I just had lined paper and a pen!

I love penal letters. I just find the aesthetic part very hard to do… I always feel like I’m not giving enough or the right stuff. Especially I’m a person who’s more about the letter than actual goodies themselves.. you know?

i totally agree! i love the cuteness + aestheticness a lot, and i love how so many people are putting in so much effort into these letters. however, i kind of do miss the old-school way, where we would just write in the letter plain and wouldn't have to worry about prices, expenses etc. :)

Watching pen pals with me videos really helps me to see the difference types of styles to create a letter. It gives me hope then I’ll find my own pen pals too. Right now, I’m enjoying all this pen pal content. Never knew about this part of TH-cam, a very welcoming and calming community of strangers who want to share their thoughts with each other (lots of stickers add*cts) Better than texting 💬

I'm that person that nearly cries when I have to rip apart one sticker that is stuck onto a paper..I would be so sad to see the nice envelopes and not use the stuff that is sticking on top of them😂
Oh yes I always hate it when my penpals or stationary orders put a sticker somewhere where I have to rip it in half :((( It’s so sad and I always try to save it 😂😅😭

@@shafiahnoor7821 stationary isn't the only point though. Its more about sending a letter to catch up on life. It doesn't always have to be as pretty and decorative or filled with small gifts and extras. A pen pal is a person or multiple people that you send letters to, but some decide to add stationary and decorate it nicely

Penpal with me videos and opening penpal letter videos really improved me and my lettering! I found different ways to write certain letters and different styles etc. Watching videos like these help me so thank you! My letters improved hugely after watching videos like these, you can get inspiration from anything, my penpal letters always have something different added depending on who i’m replying to since I get lots of inspo from my penpals too!

Where I live,everything is so expensive even a pack of stickers(10) costs about 1 to 4 euros😪 but I love to watch your videos,It's like I was with you shopping for these cute things😊

Hi, you can actually penpal without all the stickers and stuff. The main purpose of penpalling is making friends through sending letters.

in the ph in shopee you can buy a 400 pcs of small ephemera that only cost 100 pesos meaning 2 dollars. but still as a student that still expensive for me haha

I wish I knew how to send envelopes that are decorated! But I never know whether it is allowed or if the letter would have to be inside another envelope so that it can shipped normally. Would love to try decorating the outside☺️
I’ve always just decorated the outside envelope with no double packaging and no issues. I hope this helps.
Just make sure you stick everything down well so it survives the trip!
