Was at the DakhaBrakha Day concert in Madison (proclaimed by the mayor no less). They were exceptional, as they always are. I cried. They are musicians/artists of the highest order. See them while they are touring, it's the best way possible to spend an hour of your life. Peace to Ukraine.
Very powerful and emotional experience to listen to Dakhabrakha CD's and especially the live concerts. Joy, melancholy, laughter, fascination, groove, fun, and wonder. I have seen them three times in small venues, and have been able to bring a different person to see them each time - one friend is a professional musician/singer and one is a lifelong drummer - all three had their souls and minds blown and expanded at the same time. Strength and endurance to all who are fighting for a free Ukraine!

The patterns on the women's dresses is just lovely and the headwear is very pretty, too. The sheer sleeves on the women fascinates me. The--is it a cello--is it painted or inlay--just gorgeous. The groups video background really shows how the region is a melding of so many cultures. Why is Russia attacking is nation?

На мой взгляд Даха самая оригинальная, самая классная и самая талантливая фолк группа. Руководитель молодец, ну и девушки на высоте. Еще одно прекрасное подтверждение : 1. народ Украины сохраняет и преумножает народное творчество; 2. Украинцы очень талантливые люди.

The video seems to be edited so that none of the anti-Putin war messages are shown, which explains the rediculous injection of stills throughout. Aside from the terrible editing choices the music is awesome and that's what matters for this amazing band of artists. Their latest album is killin' too!!
At least according to the description, this was a bit before the invasion, unless they were already speaking about the prospect of such at that point.
