So it's multiple rides mashed together into a single attraction? What a very Wonka thing to do. lol I love the Elfmanesque take on the Oompa-Loompa songs. Nice touch, ride designers. 😁
Forgive me for this as I tend to write a lot when it comes to my thoughts: It always seems to me that the foreign theme parks have more interesting/obscure history. Never would’ve thought of a Charlie and the Chocolate factory ride in my lifetime. Sure, Disney’s had their fair share of oddities, as have Universal, Hershey Park, Cedar Fair, Six Flags, Sea World, and others. But it’s always the parks overseas that have odd attractions/parts of history. Alton Towers had this, Japan had their own Disney-like park, Saudi Arabia has a theme park literally built over the Persian Gulf, Europa Park in Germany is essentially a Disney clone complete with, you guessed it, a monorail-The list goes on! But Charlie and the Chocolate Factory perhaps intrigues me the most. I mean, it’s a (re)telling of a story that isn’t exactly a classic like Snow White or Jack and the Beanstalk or even Polar Express, and it does it in a way different from the Gene Wilder film (Willy Wonka) and the Johnny Depp Film (Charlie), yet it is in a similar manner and still incorporates 5 of the 7 deadly sins: greed, gluttony, pride, and sloth.
best adaptation ever made hands down. They even based it off the Quentin Blake illustrations!
This is hands down the most accurate Charlie and the Chocolate Factory adaptation!

I wonder that Alton Towers chose this ride because of the successful movie by Tim Burton in 2005?
