  • In this video, I test and review 1 manual pump and 3 different electrical iSUP pumps.
    I compare their total pump time, if they can pump more than one board in a row and check out each pump's features.
    I also talk about the pros & cons of electrical pumps and provide tips when using an electrical pump for your inflatable stand up paddle board

    Do you use an electrical pump? If so, what one do you have and what do you like about it?

    Very nice review. I was honesty shocked to see how much the Red Paddle boards are selling for. I like the quality, but is it really that much better the competition?

      Thanks for watching and commenting. I'm glad you found it helpful. I love using the Airbank battery powered pump and use it the most.
      Red boards are more expensive but you do pay for what you get. You can feel the quality in performance and materials plus I trust the board a lot more than I would a budget board. Saying that I haven't compared it to similar quality brands like Starboard which look great too!

    I heard you mention winter paddling. I didn’t realize that was a thing! Could you make a video with tips for this? Can you use an inflatable SUP in the winter? Ty so much 💕 PS, I’m also Canadian 😊

      Hi Kerry, Thanks for reaching out! Yes, you can absolutely winter paddle board on an iSUP! Winter paddling video is on the list to do. Let me know if there is anything specific you'd like to see me cover with it!

      @@PaddleAdventurer I am most curious about what to wear. I don’t plan on falling in, but accidents happen 😂 I quickly looked up dry suits, but my gosh - that is totally out of my budget for the 3 of us to get. Is there a less expensive alternative? Ty so much for the advice. PS, I bought the L’il Suckers upon watching your video. They’re great!!

    • @PaddleAdventurer
      @PaddleAdventurer  ปีที่แล้ว

      100% you should always be prepared to fall in. This is especially important in the winter. Unfortunately, you do need extra gear and like you said dry suits are expensive. It took me awhile to get all of my gear due to budget and stock. An alternative is getting a thick enough wetsuit. Unlike a drysuit where you add under layers to match the water temperature, the thickness of a wetsuit will determine how cold of water it's for. I'd recommend finding a local shop to rent gear to see if you like it first before investing! Keep an eye on used markets gear too!

    Hi there - did you have any issues connecting the whale pro valve to the Red paddle boards? I'm trying to connect it now (using the correct Halkey Roberts Valve that comes with the whale pro) and it won't turn to fully close like the pump that comes with the board. Is there anything specific about Red boards that require some sort of adjustment? Thanks so much!!!

    • @PaddleAdventurer
      @PaddleAdventurer  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey! Thanks for watching and for your message. Sorry to hear you’re having issues. Have you changed the rubber washer? The washer on the Whale Shark Pro might be too thick. Try swapping it out for a smaller one or take the one off your Titan pump that came with your Red board. Let me know if that helps 🙌🏼

    You mentioned the airbank will fill a board in 20 minutes, but in your test it was just under 6 mins.

    • @PaddleAdventurer
      @PaddleAdventurer  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for watching and for your clarifying question. Apologies for the confusion. When charging the unit it takes 2.5 hrs to fully charge or 20 minute charging time in order to pump 1 board.
      Pumping a board with air will take approx 6-7 mins depending on the board’s volume.
      I hope that helps but let me know if you have any other questions!

      @@PaddleAdventurer Thanks i just thought that you misspoke on the inflation times. I would have loved to hear a discussion on each pumps noise level. Mine is noisy like many other pumps, but sadly it's slow (10mins) @ 15 psi. Hearing that for 10m is annoying rather a 6 min. run.

    • @PaddleAdventurer
      @PaddleAdventurer  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@cameranmanner4701 Thanks for checking in and for the additional feedback. Maybe a video for the future?
      The noise on electrical pumps is the biggest downside IMO.
      Overall, I'd say the Airbank is not as noisy as the other two electrical pumps but it is still loud.
      The biggest plus for me is that the Airbank is operated by a battery vs a 12v plugin so I don't need my car.

      @@PaddleAdventurer Yes to a follow up on DB comparisons. Up close and 50ft away.
      Car free pump.... So is mine, sort of, but I use a ryobi tool battery to power my inflator. I wonder if I just put a Styrofoam cooler over the pump to dampen the noise? I'll give that a try.

    • @PaddleAdventurer
      @PaddleAdventurer  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'll need a sound meter to test DB. Something to consider for the future.
      A cooler might work. You just need to make sure the pump is getting air to intake. Let me know how it goes!
