Finding videos like this is the equivalent of an archaeological dig that unearths an ancient civilization and an insight into their culture and way of life! This is priceless! I was a teen in the 80s so this video is the closest thing to time travel that is real. You can not only see it but you feel it!!!!
Ty for this,,,,,,❤
Simply ass kicking music
I've been on the intherenet for several hrs, (pity me) and found this comment regarding this video to be the most valuable thing I've seen.
If Klaus looked like Bon Jovi, Scorpions would have been the biggest band on Earth at this time. Anvil were so raw and amazing
1984, best year of my life !!!!! It was the best time of my life. Miss it so so much 😞
x 2
it really was. i miss it too
worst years of my life I struggled with monster allergies and I was only 9 years old
@@freewheelburning8834Being allergic to monsters isn't a bad thing.
George Orwell likes this
I was there for Bon Jovi when I was 16 years old.
But, After that l became a big fan of Scorpions over 40 years.
Scorpions Rock is my life.
Thanks❤Rudolf Schenker
Scorpion not being inducted at the Rock n Roll fame baffles me.
While groups like Run DMC and Public Enemy are in there. It's a travesty. This is what happens when you let biased people vote their friends and highest bidders into the HoF.
it's their pedo album cover
scorpions sounded AMAZING......mathies jabs is a world class guitar player
100%. I've always loved his guitar work.
He's no Uli Roth.
He is better @@NullStaticVoid
80's still the best.
Those were the best.
Strange, I was at those gigs too at the time, but I think it didn't age well... Perhaps because I now listen to "modern" metal (love Gojira or Rammstein).
I disagree, pretty much garbage if you ask me.
The variety of musical talent in just 1984 is unthinkable today.
They are literally all hard rock bands. ^^;
@@julien_o_67 I searched for monthly musical hits of 1984. Its amazing.
Not really
this is no variety at all this is all the same genre of music lmao. Now literally any kind of band can blow up, hip hop, r&b, electronic, metal, crooner, soundtrack, etc. 80s was like AOR, hard rock, or edm. That's it. All genres that now you get hit singles on as well.
That cut to the Big 747 coming in to land while going in to the metal on metel solo.....give,s me effen goose bumps. That time of my life was the best...KEEP ON ROCKING BOY,S...
I love seeing Lips and Robb from Anvil.
Damn the Scorpions music never gets old. Growing up in the 80's made me into the man I've become today. Great times, great music and great weed!
😂
Saw MSG in 86 they opened up for Rush. Michael Schenker ❤️❤️❤️ and his flying V 🎸❤❤❤
Ray Kennedy, the vocalist of MSG in 1984.
Rest in peace and rock in heaven.
I'd forgotten why we all hated Bon Jovi so much back in the day. Thank you for the reminder.
the only good thing Jovi ever did was to decline being part of the Romeo is bleeding soundtrack
Hahahah...thank you I cant STAND them, I hated back in the day and I hate them even more now if that's possible.
why? bon jovi its cool
You hated Bon Jovi for no valid reason. To this day they're the only Hard Rock/Metal band that has 4 #1 singles on the Billboard Hot 100s LOL, and also they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame not to mention the millions of albums they've sold! Kind of like the same thing with Creed.
What are you talking about,Bon Jovi's first four albums were awesome, especially 7800 ferinhait.
I was a junior in high school living the best times of my life
I was 10 years old, I wish I was at that show! When Rock was Rock!
🤘
I saw Anvil 6 months before this show on Feb 14th, 1984 in Boston at the Orpheum theatre. They were the opening band for Aerosmith.
anvil were the goat before goats really existed.......metallica was influenced by them (as well as by diamond head and sabbath)
@@trillrifaxegrindor4411That is what the legend says. However, the reason they never made it big, is becase they are just never captured that many fans. Out of the bands here, they are the weakest in my opinion.
@@nomadnomad9517 Some of their stuff has real potential, but they really should have taken the offers to join other bands. The two core members are pretty good. That said, looking at their live shows, they've never had a truly solid line up since back when this was filmed. Always lineup changes. Also, they sound horrible live these days. Lips cannot sing the parts, and some of the leads are just... bad.
they never had the songs
@@timothy790110 Bingo. Material was average at best.
It was a great year to be a senior in high school
Class of '84 (^__^)!!! Baltimore, Maryland!
Scorpions always sounded like they were in the studio when they were live.
Saw them in LA in 83. Unbelievably tight sounding!
Meine excepted
The funny thing is that these bands were treated like royalty while quietly being ripped off by the record companies.
By their managers too.
That IS funny!
Gorgeous 80's !!! xxx
Very professional performances. I was 20 in 84' it was great times. These men are so young. Long and lean and tanned and lovely.... 40 years ago.
Filmed and mixed great with just the hits....!!
No auto tune back then.
Never heard of ANVIL until now but they seem like a kooky, fun-loving bunch of dudes
You should watch the movie about Anvil, it's one of the best rockumentaries I've seen.
Matthias Jabs = most underrated lead guitarist EVER
I Love Japan.
I purchased this show on a Japan VHS tape back in the day. If I remember correctly Klaus Maine the singer from The Scorpions was coloring his bald spot with black shoe polish.😂
LOL!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣 That's awesome
Is it shoe polish? Too interesting!🤣🤣🤣
Thank you for watching!😊🤘
maybe miso !!
😂
He really did a black out on his bald head
I wish I could go back to those days... sigh!!
I had never heard of Anvil before. And now I know why. Lol.
You need to watch their documentary. It starts with the question “why did they never make it big?” And then answers it throughout with all the music they recorded and decisions they made.
Sorry, but why?
Spinal Tap vibes.
@@FireSonix- I wasn't into their music at all on this vid. Maybe that had some better songs or sounded better on recordings. Just not my thing.
@@fuzzysnuffles understood, thnx
TH-cam
God that first Anvil song could not be any more Spinal Tap 🤘🏼🤪🤘🏼
I was a massive metalhead in 1984. Just 17 years old and full of energy.
March Of The Crabs
Unbelievable how good the Scorpions sound. No tracks or computers. Awesome
Thank you for your compliment!
Thank you for watching!😊🤘
Yep the Scorps always had great live sound..check out the two live tracks on the Monsters Of Rock CD as well
We need more full concerts with full set band lists like this the complete full show!!! I love shit like this keeep on rocking!!!!!!! 🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
❤❤❤MARAVILLOSOS MOMENTOS!!!
Thank you for sharing
wow!
Metal on Metal lyrics they are pure Spinal Tap. But the greatest of the old real pioneeres anyway.
I was 14 in 1984 and thought this was the best stuff in the world. Looking back, what the hell was I thinking?
Exactly my thoughts - I excuse them with the confusion by puberty hormons...
Matthias Jabs has always been such underrated guitarist. I guess having to live in the Scorps legacy shadows of Michael Schenker and Uli Jon Roth - but never understood why he didn't get more props.
And BEST guitar sound of the entire show (O__o)!!!
I think anvil struck that concert spot on they were amazing live👍🤟🤟...
Great yers 80 rock and roll
I turned 18 in 1980.
Free and ready to go!
Excellent ! 🎉 thanks for posting
Thank you for this brother.
Dawn scorpions nailed it. What sound!!
Lips! Metal on metal! 🤘👄🤘
Thankyou very much for uploading this wonderful video , it took me back to my teenage days of rock n roll 👏👍 these guys are our inspiration ❤
John Sykes! Nuff said!!
Old-school rock music. It is wonderful
this is better than all their commercial crap
Awesome 👏
Ah the memories
Thx!!!
TOP!!!!
I love the Scorps!
Thank you to share this greatness wonderful age in the music Muchas gracias!
What a meravellous tape recording machines the japanese had in the 80s.....what a sound!!!!!!
Yeah i was thinking that too.... sounds awesome 👍🏻
In Japan CD players were in stores in 84 as people were getting ready for CDs to hit the market in 85
Unbelievable
Muchas gracias por compartir 👍
ANVIL ♥
wish I was in the 80s forever!
Impressionant moltíssims rècords, gràcies!!!
Muito bom! Thanks for sharing. Greetings from Brazil
Arigato for the music upload 😊. I was in Nagoya in Dec 2022 but didn't know the rock bands performed there. But now I know.
BON JOVI
Matthias Jabs is such an underrated guitarist.

Legend 🤟
Great sound
Anvil drummer is actually a killer
Super le son pour l'époque. J'avais 12 ans ^^. Bon Jovi Livin" on the player, runaway, mon enfance, et scorpion ❤
What a great lineup! Of course, I was only ten years old at the time but I would have still loved to have been there!
Wow...What a show this would have been!!!!!
COZY!!!
RIP Cozy Powell
Super
awesome
Best Bon Jovi classic line-up.
fantastic audio on this vid, thanks for sharing.
