    Is there any software to design agitator

    • @ParagPatilChemEngg
      @ParagPatilChemEngg  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      do you mean designing mixing tank with agitator for a particular capacity and so on? I was going through a website the other day, see if its helpful : visimix.com/application-example/application-training-examples/
      PS : Its demo version is limited. But I have not used it yet. Just have seen some docs, suggesting designing mixers

    Hi every one
    I am using EDR 12 to simulate a shell and tube evaporator in which Cuprofin tube ( Inner Grooved Tube) manufactured by Wielnad would be used, but I can not know how I can input the specific parameter of the tube into EDR. Is there anyone to guide me?

    Dear friend. Heat Flux is also equal to the enthalpy change between point 1 and 2:
    Q = H1 - H2 or Q = m*(h1-h2). Thanks

    Nice video ~ thanks. Well there are HTRI program which design the heat exchanger. Aspen EDR and HTRI which is more reliable when we design the heat exchanger? Thank you~

    Aspen calculates a corrected MTD. Is this the same as the LMTD (log mean temperature difference) or is this simply the mean temperature difference ( AMTD)

    • @ParagPatilChemEngg
      @ParagPatilChemEngg  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      MTD is mean temperature difference. LMTD is one of the types of MTD. Please read a book by Shah and Sekulic to get it more clear ! Thanks

    Hi I followed your video and saved the file from Aspen Plus to EDR but when I opened the file on EDR its showing a lot of errors and a lot of the information which I inputted on Aspen Plus is missing. I wondered if you can kindly help?

    • @ParagPatilChemEngg
      @ParagPatilChemEngg  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi,
      Sorry for the late reply. I think EDR file made within Aspen Plus will always throw errors.
      Can you do one thing? Can you start directly modelling your heat exchanger from Aspen EDR directly ? Without going into Aspen Plus?

    • @noorzahra2523
      @noorzahra2523 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ParagPatilChemEngg Hi,
      So what I did when I saw all the errors is I created a new file on Aspen EDR and did my HEX Design in there. To be fair Aspen EDR is fairly easy to use if you have the required information.
      Thanks anyway!

    • @noorzahra2523
      @noorzahra2523 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ParagPatilChemEngg It's just that when I opened the Aspen Plus file before there was no data that I had inputted, hence why it was showing all those errors. I guess that's fine if you just need the TEMA sheet, costing and other documents but if you need the EDR file itself as well then you are better off solely sticking to designing on Aspen EDR. I hope this helps anyone else in a similar situation!
