Awesome interview Joe! Peter offering lots of good insight and some realistic plans for optimism. I am real doubtful that things can turn around but this brought some hope.
I think Glenns connection to Det is more appealing to Jets fans than even his connection to the jets, especially considering he hasnt been here since '01 but the jets connection is a bonus for sure. We just want success
5:30 I have to say I'm always impressed with the Jets fanbase's detailed recollection of the differences in their miserable seasons that most fan bases would want to forget ever happened.
My cousin who is also a jets fan and I once were reminiscing of our 10 win season. He goes “that 7 win season in 2019 tho👀” and I knew how miserable we were then
Brian Gaine has probably the most connections to potential HC hires. Among those established working connections are: Ben Johnson, Joe Brady, Mike Vrabel, Anthony Weaver, and familiarity with Aaron Glenn from his time with the Parcells regime Jets
The GM hire will dictate the quality of HC candidates. I believe that no candidate is off limits if you have a GM who has natural connections to the candidates. Ben Johnson etc
The fact Peter says he doesn't know who would be a good fit bc of Woody being involved daily and it being a corporate environment says it all. We are screwed until Woody is gone and I will be checking out officially until that happens. I will still pay attention and follow the team but will be completely emotionally removed bc they will never be good under the Johnsons.
They tried to fast track something the wrong way, players need to want to run thru fire for their QB, their coaches and their owner. Jets don’t have those people. Look at Cleveland effort from the players with Jamies.
Not sure where Joe's perspective is coming from that this is "up there with 2016 and 2011 etc etc". This is categorically the most disappointing season in the history of the franchise. They have never had a roster - not a team mind you, obviously - but a roster this talented. Rodgers, apart from being an idiot in real life, is the all time personification of the successful veteran using the Jets as the depository of hell - ex good/great players taking advantage of perennial Jet desperation to get one last pay day they would get nowhere else and laughing all the way to the bank. Rodgers didnt give a flying f about playing anymore, couldn't be more clear from his vibe since he first stepped foot here. That along with incalculable and pervasive losier mentality going back generations here destroyed a roster that any decent coach and competent qb would've had minimum 12 wins with, minimum.
Great interview, Schrager is such a great guy to listen to…
Big time

I hate we are having these conversations now, but this was a fantastic listen. I wish this was about 3 hours longer haha. Keep up the great work!
This is excellent!!
I wanted Kliff to be our offensive coordinator before we went with Hackett so I’m open to that idea

Such a great show
When he said Jim Leonhard I sat up a little bit.
Pete always so even keeled with Jets definitely a voice of reason
Oh HELL YEAH this is epic!
For GM I want the guy who said "No, you want Goff in the trade!"
Peter is right about Kingsbury. He would be a great hire
GM Greenberg and HC Coen sneaky underrated tandem I think a lot of fans would be “meh” over, but I would be a big fan of
We have great players but can't gell together it takes time but yes it's a mess

Ken Dorsey from the Lions is your guy to haul this over. He's going to bring in some character issue players, but they'll be talented and play hard.
Jim Leonhard would be a candidate as Rex's DC
Same man who said rodgers mvp and jets one seed 😂😂
A lot of people thought we would be great … did u not ? This isn’t the dig you think it is lol

I, Jets Hippie, claim responsibility for this guest.
Yessssss
the jets need to find their worldwide wes

Should the Jets fire sale and get as many picks as possible?
Uh... trade dealine was weeks ago.
I don’t think they should because I think coaching is a bigger issues than talent but it’s gonna be up to the new GM.
No rookie head coaches! Brian Flores is the guy! If not, Rex Ryan. Vrabel will not come in all likelyhood
Hate to say it, but if you thought this was a playoff team going into the year, you don't know ball
Jesse Minter is an awful hire. No HC experience, who is his OC hire?
Kingsbury and Allar>
