    With all due respect Primetime, you lost me entirely halfway through. Rodgers is a terrible leader and did nothing in any game that we needed him to step up. He is a shell of himself physically regardless of whether most of the rest of the team sucked or coaching blew. He didn’t play well and certainly not close to his career standard. Along with that average play was an immense amount of non accountability, blaming others, excuses, excuses and excuses. Entitled and arrogant with no basis here to be that way. No way in hell should he be back

    Rodgers is a cancer on this team. I want him out. That being said, ownership meddling and poor coaching choices are the biggest problems with this franchise. Not sure if the Jets will ever win a championship under this ownership.

      Jets need continuity and Rodgers plays well against divisional opponents.
      He is also operating on another level and is trying to get the rest of team and coaches there.

    Under Aaron's leadership, the Jets failed to put up 20 PPG. That puts them in the bottom of the third of NFL offensive rankings.

      Amazing how the Jets have done worse with Rodgers as QB than they did with Wilson but Wilson is the one who got the boot and Rodgers is getting pandered to by people who still think he's relevant.

    Primetime, the Jets having a terrible culture and Aaron Rodgers needing to go aren't mutually exclusive ideas. As a matter of fact, I think that they are completely related. The only reason that the Jets were interested in Aaron Rodgers in the first place is because they failed to draft and develop a QB of their own-- the product of their terrible culture. When they traded for Rodgers they instantly put unrealistically high expectations on a team that had young talent but no recipe to win based on a successful program. That's part of the reason that I believe that Aaron Rodgers and several of the expensive veterans need to go. The new head coach and GM need to have the opportunity to build their own program. Catering to aging veterans who are coming off of a 5 win season isn't how you build a winning program. Also, Sam Darnold was in his early to mid 20's when the Jets moved on. Aaron Rodgers is in his 40's. Darnold had room to grow. Rodgers is just getting older. Rodgers might have one decent season left, but then what? The Jets would be left scrambling to draft and develop a QB again. If they take this year to build their program, maybe they can set up a young QB to have better success in the future.

    Any question of Rodgers leadership ended with him skipping minicamp after missing a season to get high. And it’s very possible he got his head coach fired to protect his buddy. He will be turning 42, and it’s clear the mobility is gone and isn’t coming back. I can’t see any coach worth it, wanting to take that on. Respectfully, I say give it up, the princess is in another castle.

    • @Righteous628
      @Righteous628 15 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @erikreinhardt7955 It's not his age it's everything else that makes him suck.He has no intangibles that make leaders of men.
      Between Age 39-45,
      Tom Brady went to 4 SuperBowl's winning 3 and also threw for 5,316 yds and 43 touchdowns at 44 years old. Despite his greatness he plays like he is just trying to get a starting spot on the team,Aaron Rodgers acts like he owns the club and has been to only 1 SuperBowl in his career.....14yrs ago.
      Tom Brady is a leader
      Aaron Rodgers is the complete opposite of a leader.

    The three overriding reasons why the Jets were so bad this season in my opinion (which you’d probably agree with) was the extremely horrible coaching all around, the decimation and clear regression of the defense and the inconsistency of the offense. With that said, even if Rodgers wants to come back and play next season for the Jets (which I’m not sure he does) there has to be an absolute plan in place long-term for a quarterback. No idea at this point who that would be as the season just ended but we’ll see.
    Thanks to you and Tyson for this channel. Happy New Year!

  • @rez6541
    @rez6541 18 วันที่ผ่านมา +3

    The problem with Rodgers is the offense was just to one dimensional. Teams were able to easily shut it down and make it look almost childish at times. Sure, that's coaching but it's his offense as well. If he comes back, is he willing to follow a different game plan? Thats my biggest question to you.

    • @markb3786
      @markb3786 17 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      AR will only run his ancient McCarthy offense. The league and potential coaches know this.

  • @otiswise
    @otiswise 18 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

    Im on board with your point of view which is pretty often. I wanted to keep darnold and trade down in that draft and build around him with a good HC/staff. And even now i hope rodgers ends up staying with a good HC, make improvements on roster/defense and try one more year. Otherwise the team will be just like it was after the hype of 2010/11. Go into "rebuild" mode for years because this team perpetually drafts and/or develops poorly. It sucks so much to watch other games and hear names of players ball out that the Jets drafted and gave up on. Sure that always happens with everyone, but seems to happen far more often for this franchise.
    Rodgers isnt great, but he's def good enough with a GOOD defense and coaching staff. O line is pretty solid, WR core is good enough mostly (if devante stays), RB is set. Defense is the weakness again. But it's the Jets, so they'll find the wrong thing to do. I have zero faith this ownership will do the right thing. If Rodgers isnt back, i wont give much of a crap for future seasons unless they give reason to feel otherwise.... I hate being a fan of this team

    Last season was a hard pill to swallow but this one is way worse.
    I thought worst case was we’d be 9-8 and just miss the playoffs.
    This was the least enjoyable year I’ve had as a fan of this team.
    AND NOW we have to hope Woody & the 33rd team don’t f**k this GM/HC search up somehow.

    Really disliked Woody meddling with Saleh's staff to fire the OC. Leave the staff to the HC and if you're that unhappy then fire them all or just give them one more year to turn it around.
    So they fired LaFleur and had a lameduck HC that could never draw in any top coaching talent for OC when he can't guarantee them any job security.

    Not only have you guys not ever talked about a playoff game, but the team has NOT adjusted or changed in any way. The issues are the same year after year. Woody is the only constant over the last 13 years. I hope Rogers comes back let this clown show continue. Rogers is not smart, he is not a leader, he is, has and always will be a self obsessed wanna be philosopher. He's gotten coach after coach after coach fired, he throws everyone around him under the bus the second he gets the chance, he does not take accountability for literally anything, and we aren't even going to mention how he's so old he could be the father of some guys who are playing with him. This team probably hires Flores or Ryan and goes full tap dancing clown show next year.
