    I knew exactly which one was the ENFJ and the ESFJ before anyone started talking as well.
    Something about the energy gives it away

    INFP here- i've been trying to figure out if someone I know is an ENFJ or ESFJ... by watching your interactions you helped clear up my confusion. Great video :)

    Enjoyed this one! Si is as important a philosophical stance in life as Ni (loving candles and the simple little good things that make life worthwhile is a great philosophy in itself).

    According to LInda Berens (and possibley David Keirsey) ENFJs are "In Charge" interaction style, which correlates with Choleric/Driver/Dominant style in other theories. This style is conflict seeking. Even when ENFJs are Fe doms and seek harmony, they will seek confrontation if it means, dealing with a situation that is important or it will cause troubles in the long run. ESFJs are "Get Things Going" interaction style, which correlates to Sanguine/Expressive/Influence style in other theories. This style is conflict avoiding.

    My sister is definitely like you Meghan.The test she took,i wasn't sure about the accuracy of her tests at first. She tested ENFJ but from all that i've observed from her and what i read and hear about the type,they do match. She's more direct the way you are,always seeks closure and thinks ahead. The only ESFJ i know of is my aunt,and she's definitely more practical and grounded in the present like your sister.

  • @truepeace3

    I am 💯 ENFJ, but I’m very sensitive to texture. I LOVE soft clothing, blankets, etc. And I love flowers, perfumes and all things aesthetic. Plus a clean house, although I can leave trails too! 😁 But I quickly clean up after myself. I’ve read where ENFJs actually keep very clean and organized homes. And I listen more to lyrics, than the music.
    I have two very close relatives who are ESFJs and they fit the ESFJ perfectly, except that they are MESSIES! But they love hosting parties and get togethers. And love celebrations, in general. They’re very loyal friends and fierce mama bears. They also love nice things. I love them dearly, but they drive me crazy, because they don’t think long term. And they don’t seem to be in tune to people’s feelings. They’re very here and now and tend to be rather materialistic (though very generous too). The one ESFJ is an amazing leader and great at organizing people and tasks. She’s very successful. But I probably have more conflicts, both openly and internally, with ESFJs than about any other personality type. 😕

  • @shaykay1079
    @shaykay1079 7 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    I kind of agree with other commentors. Your sister seems more like an ISFJ! That whole not wanting to say what you're feeling bc it will bother other people, or about not wanting to say when you're angry even though you're clearly angry, is VERY much secondary Fe! I'm an IxFJ and I definitely do that (I've gotten that feedback from my brother). Dominant Fe user, such as yourself, are rarely that passive aggressive. On the contrary, they run the danger of oversharing their feelings and causing more drama than is necessary. I think that dom-Fe/aux-Fe was very clear when your sister accused you of dragging on conflicts needlessly, while you saw it as needing to air out feelings in order to get past things. That's a very dom-Fe thing to say, while aux-Fe would rather swallow their feelings if it means temporarily placating the situation.

    • @shaykay1079
      @shaykay1079 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      19:30 basically confirmed it for me! This sounds very much like dom-Fe/aux-Fe! I don't know your sister like you do, but she definitely comes across more like an ISFJ than an ESFJ in this video

    Hi, i am from Singapore. Excellent discussion! Just met an ESFJ friend and she's driving me up the wall with her silence. Your discussion helps me better understand her. Can't stand it when i am just asking a simple question for a yes or no answer and she can't even give me a straight up answer in a timely manner... It is a difficult personality to get close to. My friend is so easily upset and unable to go deep when we talk that it really hurts...

    Regarding conflict resolution, I relate to Maddie not being able to talk about what's wrong, right away (we both probably don't have high Blast, but you do). I need to go process my thoughts and then I can come back and say what's going on. It helped to clarify this, when I was typed by Objective Personality, as an animal stack of Play Consume / Sleep (blast last or missing). If I am in an argument I need to go away to process (sleep/thinking) and then, I can come back and explain what is going on. You guys are so adorable and timeless, evergreen content here :)

    Considering that the internet is a INTP dominion and they are the total opposites of ESFJ, the logical conclusion just begs itself to be arrived upon. Though, I do think that those INTP's who go agro are plain douches.

  • @vladstavarache2363

    Meghan, being very aware that feelings are temporary should give some detachment. the inner conflict might be that you don't associate emotional pain to growth, responsibility, opportunity for introspection - so you rather see it as an annoyance that may or may not bring the possibility of a positive outcome.
    curious about how you see this.

      @5GcE 8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      When she said she doesn't like confrontation and conflict I thought she was an ISFJ too. I have a lot of ISFJ's and ESFJ's in my life and the ESFJ's tend to stir up drama. My husband is an ENFJ and he confronts and stirs up a lot too. Maybe when an ENFJ and ESFJ are together the ENFJ wins the drama contest. :D

      @MeghaMuse  8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You haven't heard her when she's angry lmao

    • @MeghaMuse
      @MeghaMuse  8 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      +Marisa Lauren that's very interesting. I would say that she doesn't like conflict, but she also doesn't realize when she is creating it. as an Fe-dom, I also 'don't like conflict." The main difference is that the ESFJ is passive aggressive while ENFJ is not. We have quite a lot of drama.. and I feel like her passive aggression adds fuel to my fire. She will make biting comments like. "ugh! whatever. its fine!! and storm out" which is an ESFJ tantrum in my opinion.

    • @5GcE
      @5GcE 8 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Yeah, my ENFJ husband is definitely more direct. He's also aware that he's being direct and confrontational--but doesn't realize how badly it affects me (INFJ). He justifies it by wanting to settle something asap. But I need time to reflect, pray, and calm down before I can settle a conflict. I wilt like Olaf on a summer day with his angry harassment.
      My ESFJ dad and mother-in-law are not at all introspective. They are other-focused, and feel the need to control people for the good of others. They murmur and complain a lot about people not taking their advice--put a sweater on, you need to take more vitamin C, etc. My mother-in-law once nearly force-fed me a Brie sandwich because "it's so healthy and delicious". To get her to stop you need to literally yell at her, otherwise she doesn't get the message to back off. I hate yelling. (The dysfunction sucks.)
      Wow, that was a lot of negative stuff. On the positive side, you'll never want for food or clothing with an ESFJ parent. Both ESFJs are always concerned about my physical well-being and are always ready to help. And my ENFJ is a very good encourager when I'm down, which is a lot, cause I'm struggling with so many close Fe-doms in my life. I'm so sensitive and I don't feel safe around them.

    Honestly, I can't stand ENFPs. It is because they're so short-sighted. They don't think about what they're doing or the consequences of their actions. It's all fun and games for them. My cousin is 40 and he is an ENFP. He said the other day, "Everything I own fits in a car. It feels like I have accomplished nothing in life." YUP! that's my point.
