Prada has an interesting, gorgeous new shadow formula and beautiful color stories. How can we resist that?! I am defenseless! They are expensive but at least not in triple digits! (I know. The “at least it’s not even MORE expensive” is the weakest way to try to justify buying more eyeshadow, but it’s all I’ve got 😂😂)
I’m definitely trying the eyeshadow (after seeing the color stories I knew I would unless the reviews were terrible) but surprisingly now the foundation is on my list, too! I love everything I’ve heard about the foundation. I have oily/combo skin so a beautiful, blurring foundation is my thing. Again, I am defenseless.
I can’t decide if I should get quad 1 with the purple or quad 4 with the green first. I say first because I know for sure I will be getting more eventually. 🤦♀️
But fall is approaching so maybe the #3 with the orange. Ugh!! They are all so pretty and the neutrals with them are so appealing!
If I’m getting the foundation and a quad it only makes sense to get a lipstick too, right?
Lisa, first of all, the lipstick would be terribly lonely if left behind. It’s only kind to allow it to come along with the order. You don’t want to be rude. I enjoy the “hey, I didn’t realize it would be somewhat more affordable than previously thought” excuse! I think it holds water.

Wow, the foundation looks spectacular and the foiled shadow on your eyes is beautiful!! I was really surprised at the performance! I was expecting something lame like the Gucci eyeshadow palette, but Prada delivered!!!

@@NotFitforPrintBeauty Hahahha, while the palette is gorgeous and performs well, it’s a nope for me. While I’m not as on edge about the packaging since the component is square BUT WHY are the pans triangle???? That really sends me into orbit!! At least make them pans circles, triangles are awkward and waste space. If they used a different shape, they could have squeezed another shade into the palette.
Now the foundation is a definite!!! Prada did an incredible job on this launch, i’m impressed.

I had to order the foundation a had seen so many excellent reviews, but held off until I checked yours! But as a shade twin of yours I went a shade darker - MN40 and it’s utterly perfect. This might be my new favourite 💗

So far every reviewer I've seen, including you, looks wonderful in Prada's new makeup. I don't know about the foundation, but I want all of the shadows except the one with the red. Red shadow makes me look like I have a bad eye infection. I don't like matte lips, but that pink is so pretty and doesn't look dry and clumpy. Damn. I rarely want luxury makeup, but these products are stunning. So expensive!!! Waaaaa!! 😭

I bought the same eyeshadow quad too in 04 Poetry from Harrods. It arrived today and its already on the peepers! I was inspired by the block green look on the Prada Beauty website so gave that a go and loving it! The shadow just applies like a dream. The most surprising bit are the included applicator brush and sponge - highly recommend both for application. I was downstairs when it was delivered and couldn't be bothered to schlepp upstairs to where my makeup brushes were, and was so excited to try out the quad I just used the applicator brushes and they are seriously excellent! I'm tempted to pick up Profusion - the quad with the acid yellow, as well. I'm so enthused by these eyeshadows - much much more than the latest Chanel Byzance eye quads which I've decided to hard pass on. Anyway, your look is lovely and gives me some inspiration for alternative ways to wear the green shade. That sparkly foiled mauve-y shade is just stunning too. Greetings from the UK!

This eye look - absolutely BEAUTIFUL on you! How lovely.... hope it wears well. And I think the foundation color (on my computer) looks good, although a tick towards olive might be better, but hard to say given different lighting, monitors, etc. Lip color, fine - to go with the eye palette I'd lean a bit more towards a berry tint. Great look all around!

Hi Rebecca! I've been watching your videos for about a month. So if you've been asked this before, please forgive me. You're the only luxury channel I watch, and I have to admit I haven't dipped my toes into buying luxury products yet. But have you ever done a comparison between luxury vs. high end? I'm curious if there's a difference between Natasha Denona, Charlotte Tillbury, etc. and luxury. Thanks and have a wonderful day!
First of all, Nancy, I am thrilled to have you here and I wouldn’t care if you asked me a question that I’ve been asked 1 million times. You never have to worry about that. It’s an interesting differentiation and, to be honest, it’s getting closer and closer together. Just as drug store is also gaining on everyone with better ingredients, high-end and luxury are almost one, certainly pricewise. So we see high-end as things like makeup artist lines and we see luxury as things like luxury clothing lines or lines that are produced in Japan and are so ridiculously expensive. So Chanel and Dior make up are actually priced similarly to Charlotte and Pat McGrath but they come from luxury fashion houses so we called them luxury. And brands like cle de Peau and Suquu charge $110 for a pallet which is ridiculous so we call it luxury. In terms of formulation I do see that a lot of the luxury formulations are a little bit better actually but, honestly, if you blindfolded someone and had them touch the makeup and then you took all of the shades out of their casing I think people would not be able to tell the difference between luxury and high-end and, in some instances, shockingly enough, drugstore either! I think the term luxury or high end is now simply referring to what “House” makes the makeup. Let me know if that explanation was confusing

I was waiting to see what the reviews said. I have such a hard time with foundation shades because of my fair olive skin. I will probably have to get an eye shadow and lipstick too 🤦🏻♀️
Well exactly! You can’t have the foundation that you purchased be lonely! There are swatches up online now, I hear. So we should be able to get a better idea of the shades. It really was a guessing game when I purchased.
This all looks gorgeous but I don’t wear eyeshadows anymore, you know how I feel about matte lipstick (no matter how good), and I’m team tinted moisturizer not foundation so money saved. Excited about the upcoming Chanel stuff though esp the 2 blushes with the CC embossing

Fiona, it was honestly such a pig in a poke, right? I was like, "OK, going on the ASSUMPTION that LN means light neutral and going on the ASSUMPTION that LN 25 is the biggest number so the DARKEST number????" It was SUCH a guess.

My only two critiques is that a) if you’re not confident with roughly knowing your shade you’re gonna struggle b) travel size doesn’t come with a lid and is a bit messy to pump out so will get the proper one next time xx

I picked up one foundation, 2 eyeshadow quads, the green one (I'm so happy to see your review of it as I have not received it yet and it looks GORGEOUS) and no 2, the yellow one. And 2 lipsticks and I cannot wait to try them. I think I'm going to love the eyeshadows. I'm on the verge of ordering the palette no 3 Pulse with the red one but maybe I should wait to see a review of that one🥰🥰

No heavy perfume scent on the lipstick. a little bit of a scent but it’s more of a lipstick smell and no taste thankfully!

I ordered the foundation yesterday. I’m hoping I got the right color. It was so hard to pick the shade when there wasn’t any description or swatches. I’m pretty fair so I went with LN5 🤞🏻. I appreciate all your reviews and how fast you post new products.
Christy!!! I don’t know if you want to dare, but I heard there are swatches posted on either the Prada website Selfridge’s or harrods now. You can check if you made the right decision or you could just hold your breath and wait for it to arrive. I’m on board for either option!
Of course now there’s swatches! I’m so impatient when a new product comes out especially when it a high end foundation that I need to try it asap lol. I just checked the swatches and I think I might be ok. I can usually either do cool or neutral. I ordered the neutral so let’s hope fire best! 🤞🏻🤞🏻

So I heard... I want to say from Robert Welsh? (a professional MUA- I think it was him? ) Explained that a foundation drying down darker, say from application to the first half hour or so is just a foundation/complection product "drying down" to the correct shade once it hits the air but true "oxidation" is a complection product getting darker and darker throughout the entire days wear. And that it usually happens with ppl who have oily skin. Just thought I'd share lol I used to think a foundation too dark or too orange was the WORST on my pale skin but after using foundations waaay too light on me it literally made my skin look absolutely awful. Like the WORST 😂 Never again will I wear something way too light for me lol ANYWAY THIS FOUNDATION LOOKS BEAUTIFUL! And the whole collection really is a surprising banger of a release, at least to me 👍

Hello Leazette! Apparently the foundation is described as a soft luminous but it doesn't look that way on me. Very matte.
So pretty! I am usually not a fan of triangle packaging, but this isn't too bad since the eyeshadow case is square. Is there fallout on the foiled shade?
Agreed! And zero fallout. That surprised me as I used a brush, a fluffy brush even. Usually I would use my finger or a flat tight brush. So that bodes well for the foil shade

Thank you so much for this review. I was going to get that exact shade on foundation so I think thats too light. I think I would get the lightest medium shade. It was just weird that they have no descriptions of the shades to help you choose. So its a mystery.

$70 is in line with Gucci foundation (which I really like) This foundation looks very nice on you. I think the shade is fine because you can deepen it with bronzer and other products. I like the size of those eyeshadow components but I don’t like odd shaped eyeshadow so i’ll probably never buy those.
Yes. The shadows are oddly shaped AND they DO bleed a bit into one another. That’s my only criticism

Totally. It’s coming soon. It will be more readily available soon and we will have more swatches. There are already more swatches online than when I bought last week. So it’s going to become more available with a better idea of pricing and better idea of shade choice.
I'm interested in this line but want to see the ingredients. Have you seen them online anywhere? If not, might you take some photos and post them in your Community section? I did see one person post a photo of the foundation ingredients and they included perfume, so I won't be buying that one, but I wonder if the other ones have any potential. Rebecca, if you felt a whole barrage of knives in your back, they were coming from me! I even lost track at how many times I told you to "shut up, Rebecca!" You probably heard me with my croaky voice all the way from Down Under! I'm certainly feeling it now! I just spayed an anesthetic down my throat.🤦🏼♀️My first reaction to seeing your thumbnail was "darn, she's got the green!" Guess who is as envious as that colour? I was on the phone to Prada in Sydney today trying to find out when we'll ever see this range. I want every single Eye Palette, casings too! I'm even going to scream at you - "I want the gorgeous mint coloured Lip Balm"! Of course, I will be wanting a few lipsticks to throw in, despite them being matte. I can't remember how long it's been since I've been this excited over a make-up release by both Prada and my Chanel order, that unfortunately didn't arrive today, yet will on Monday. I was devastated when Prada told me that we may have to wait until - NEXT YEAR!!! - for the release to arrive!😢😢😢😢😢😢(a tear for each palette!). We may get them earlier, but at least it gives me time to save for the lot. No refills for me, I want the entire experience. See that I wrote "want" and not need. I get to save on the foundation, as I don't wear it, which leaves me to splurge on the Balm! It will, of course, depend on how much we are slugged for these, but I refuse to personally import make-up just for my own sake from literally the oppisite side of the world. I don't need to get on my soapbox, as you know how I feel about destroying the planet for the sake of an individual's vanity. I understand why you've done it, it's your job and you're much closer than me. I just think it's irresponsible for us all to be importing single orders from across the globe instead of waiting patiently, like I will be. Okay, I'll change that to waiting impatiently! My dear, just a little geography lesson. The UK isn't part of Europe, they left the EU, so it's even more confusing to work out pricing for everyone. The prices don't seem to be as bad as what I thought they'd be. I was even surprised at Chanel keeping the cost of the new Byzance Collection Quads down to considerably lower than those terrible 'cash-grab' Tweeds. At least these shades are purely heavenly and I can't wait to get stuck into those beauties! Any idea when you're getting them? After I heard your monologue at the start, I thought to myself that there will be no chance now of you wanting to sell me that Prada palette. I thought you'd hate wearing the green, but it only shows that you can never know how someone may feel about a product when in love with the brand. It does look so lovely on you, even if you chickened out on amping up the green. Yet, you did surprise me by going for that palette. I can't even choose a favourite, as they're all so beautiful and right up the alley of an eccentric Aquarian artist!
Looks like times are changing and Fashion Houses are actually being serious about the quality of the beauty products they're adding on and not simply for the money, (like Gucci's door-stoppers). I've been very surprised with Burberry and Givenchy, brands that I normally wouldn't head straight towards for cosmetics. Despite Burberry's range being on the smaller size, I'm in love with every product I've tried - which is almost all of them! I hadn't even used a Givenchy product prior to early this year and now I own every single eye palette!
Rebecca, I'm going to need your help with reminding me to stay on the wagon and save for these Prada beauties. I'm counting on you to keep me focused on the prize ahead and not to be side-tracked. It's very rare to ever come across a release like this, especially one that completely vibes with me. I've bought a few Chanel L/E Quads before, along with a bunch of other products too, yet have never bought four Quads at one time! I simply couldn't help myself and I've always said - "if you can't make your mind up about which item to buy, get both", (or in this case four!). When in Europe, I was confronted by two individual soft leather outfits that were one-off pieces. The small group of us shopping were divided by which to pick, so I went for both. That's when I decided never to compromise or live with regrets.
Just think of me whenever you use that stunningly beautiful palette! Please keep your fingers and toes crossed too, that we get these before Christmas at least. I need your strength now to help me through. I bet you realise that you're going to cave and buy the other palettes too? You won't cope with only one.😉

I honestly didn't expect you to have chosen a palette like that, yet there can easily be a story behind the 'why' to anything we don't expect. I just found out that the two YSL Quads that I liked the most are actually Limited Editions! Just my luck. I'm not worrying about the YSL Quads too much due to owning the majority of the larger ones. I just wanted to compare them without choosing a colour story I already had within my Couture Clutch Palettes. I'm going to be stricter now that I have a bigger and better objective in mind. The YSL Quad with the blues, mint green and black in it, are shades I already have from my YSL Palettes, as well as the one with silvery shades that are both the L/E's. So, it's no big deal that I miss out, as I've already had these shades from a few years before these Mini-Couture Palettes came out! They haven't even made it to our website yet. I think this Prada release is one of the most exciting releases I can remember seeing. It's probably because it is so different from everything else, that draws me to it. I believe many will be hesitant because of the 'pop of colour', but do hope that they take the leap and try something that's not as ordinary as what we usually see. It's totally unlike me to ever purchase four Chanel Quads at once, but it was due to them having that something special in the shades that drew me in. Particularly, as I love coloured gems, how could these shades not resonate with me? Each time I look at the promotional videos of them, I have a big smile from ear to ear, which is the same for Prada. I was so hoping they would arrive today, but I'll have to wait for the weekend to end now before they arrive Monday. Being Chanel and L/E, I know you won't be able to restrain yourself and curious as to what Quads you'll go for. Sometimes, having our weather around the other way to you can be beneficial. The two bolder Quads reminded me of Christmas, yet the softer ones are just perfect for the warmer weather. Not that I wear make-up seasonally, but I do like a nice soft look when it's roasting hot! Considering you've got a green shade in the Prada, maybe you could think of Parure Impériale as the bold palette and perhaps Parure Cristal as the softer one? Then again, you could just throw caution to the wind like me and buy them all together? I do hope you get them soon enough. Somehow, I think you'll be sneaking in some more Prada into your shopping cart! Tell me I'm wrong!💖😉

The good thing is, that I was blessed with being a great bargain hunter too! Imagine my surprise when retail shopping and I discovered a rack of Designer Fashions that had been reduced. I then see a silk calf-length pencil skirt that had on the label - 98% Off, along with the price! I had to ask the salesperson whether it was correct. She simply said that if that what it says, then the price is correct. I nailed this beauty, which I still own, for under AUD$10.00! That's about US$7.00 for a designer number. I must have the midas touch for bargains. It's certain fabrics that seem to want to come home with me. Yet another silk designer number, this time a black slinky dress with a cream patterned print that has shoe-string straps, v-neck at front and again it went down to the calves. I'd call this one at US$14.00! Another knockout I won't let go of. Rebecca, if you love fashion, you'd be bowled over by my wardrobe! After you're revived, I can astound you with my massive footwear and accessories collection. The jewellery may be too much in one go! All of this is not due to wealth, as many assume, just a very savvy shopper! Good things come to those who wait. It's been the case for me endless times. Although, I wasn't exactly being savvy when buying the four Chanel Byzance Quads, just satisfying my need to indulge. I do hope you get yours soon.😉💖
