Grateful for Bruce Gore, especially with R.C. Sproul gone, I now have another good Bible teacher I've gone verse by verse through most of the New Testament with the past few years. Recently finished Mark, Acts, then the long Revelation series, now finishing up Romans. Need to go back over the Historical Context of the Bible series again as it was so good. So was the church history series. Before long they might start calling me a Goreite, or a Bruceian. I just really love God's Word, and am thankful for the content Bruce has put out over the years.
“In the twelfth year of Ahaz king of Judah began Hoshea the son of Elah to reign in Samaria over Israel nine years. And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, but not as the kings of Israel that were before him.” 2 Kings 17:1-2 KJV “but not as the kings of Israel that were before him.” How did Ahaz sin differently?

Thanks brother!
This is brilliant. Glory to Jesus for your skill! Probably the best exposition I ever heard on this particular topic
You are very generous. Thank you!

Yeah, this is part 1. The rest will be up in about a month.
@GoreBruce Are you preaching every week?
@@CAREYLOU316 I teach Sunday school at my church, and preach occasionally.
“In the twelfth year of Ahaz king of Judah began Hoshea the son of Elah to reign in Samaria over Israel nine years. And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, but not as the kings of Israel that were before him.”

“but not as the kings of Israel that were before him.” How did Ahaz sin differently?
The reference is to Hoshea, not to Ahaz.
