I just looked, it contacts the scale just below the framelock on the non-flexible part of the scale so at rest, no it does not touch. When you open the lock to close the blade, it touches just a bit. As far a scratches, yeah there are a little but I don’t think it’s any more than the stock clip. And since part of the clip covers the lock, it sort of acts like an over-travel stop in a way.
So now that you've had it for a while, would you recommend it? I just got an S45VN Insingo Inkosi, and (especially coming from Hinderers) won't feel like it's truly mine until I dump another hundo or so into it.
Yea I’d recommend it, it’s a great clip. It’s definitely thicker and more robust than stock and I still think the finish on mine matches really well. It still pulls from the pocket well too. Congrats on the new knife!
I unfortunately ordered the MXG deep carry clip and the end rides right on the edge of the scale and lock bar. More on the very edge of the scale and it rolls ever so slightly off and back on. And also when it slides off the edge. It’s squeezes on the bar and it’s just a shit show. Very disgusting I order this POS. May have to order the Lunch.
I actually think it’s pretty good looking. It must be a new addition to his lineup, I didn’t see the flat one while ordering mine. I probably would’ve chose that one over this one
