The mustaches, silent movie style title cards and music sold the entire thing. That and Michael's boundless enthusiasm for cranky sleepy ancient robots!
funnily enough, the GSC Kelermorph has almost the same rule and can get into a similar Western shootout except he actually looks like a wild west character
What a fantastic funny video! I've never seen this coming, guys! Thank you for the most joyful and soulful five minutes of the day, it was a great pleasure to see this format. If you find some more similar stuff, share with us your spirit and friendliness in this way again, please!
Sheriff hexmark and his possy should go try and wrangle that notorious world eaters gang hellbrute. He can shoot back just like this when he is targeted. It would be fun to see if the hexmark could chew through T9, 2+ before the hellbrute chews through the warriors and the hexmark.
Paly On is made up of GIANT dorks and I love you so much because of it. This was *beautiful*. We'll have to get another High Noon face off between the Kelermorph and teh Hexmark Destroyer (aka teh Three-Armed Kid vs the Gloctopus) in a shootout to see who's got the best bandeet-os around.
Guys! I did not see that coming... cant stop laughin' - amazing piece of work. Never tought about two hexmarks fighting each other in an endless re-re-re-re-...-action event! :-D
So Michael's Necron Overlord is an old-timey British general, and his hexmark destroyer is an old western gunslinger. What other nationalities are in his tombworld?
The rule is fun, but the way to win is for the non-turn player to not trigger the shoot back... Then move in and shoot the Hexmark with the Warriors... Funnily enough. The rule is hilarious.
It's interesting how GW thinks in its balancing, I mean you have these crazy armies. Meanwhile in the errata they just add pistol to the death guard characters and make their stuff just a bit worse
Ive been looking to see how the rules works for units that shoot the hexmark directly. So does this mean that if the hexmark is targeted that the ability triggers?
I mean, to be fair, since I assume an army can only have one hexmark, while it is funny, that scenario isn't going to happen in a serious game outside of some sort of situation where the hexmark is close to something your opponent feels they need to take out immediately and can't get close enough to take out the hexmark first. It's really just area denial for ranged attacks. Still, really funny short skit.
Big question! The Hexmark seems to trigger off of targeting, so in the instance of an opponent splitfiring into mulitiple units within 3", would you get multiple triggers of it, or just the one trigger after its all been shot?
I don't think hexmark is op, cause you can easily shot rangeds attacks to a necron unit from farther than the hexmark 18" range, and is not like his attack is super devastating either. Is more annoying than strong, which I think is what it should be.
I actually don't think so, since it wouldn't go into the command phase for either. A hexmark is still a friendly necron unit in 3 inches of it's own self. So it would still trigger the rule.
o.O da heck GW you can fix Deathwatch's busted strat buffing uber-mortal's but somehow missed this... vid is so funny to watch thou so I'll call it a fair trade
The mustaches, silent movie style title cards and music sold the entire thing. That and Michael's boundless enthusiasm for cranky sleepy ancient robots!
You had me at the.
Remember: all those dice were rolled in 1 shooting phase
By 2 models
This was my last game. My hexmark shot overwatch and rolled 5 1s.
And it doesn't look like they were rolling reanimation protocols that would have triggered each time an enemy unit finished shooting
@@GrimDarkHistory that's not how reanimation protocols work anymore
Always love some Necron content with Michael, if only because he was nice to me on Reddit once.
Please do more silly content like this!
Awh shucks
The silent movie editing killed me, well played.
The Silent King approves of silent movies
"...liberate the planet by killing all living things on it."
Gosh, I'm a sucker for happy endings...
Now imagine it's some giant ridiculous model like a monolith or something. The plinking of wounds would take all day
funnily enough, the GSC Kelermorph has almost the same rule and can get into a similar Western shootout except he actually looks like a wild west character
I didn't think I'd enjoy this as much as I did. I hope they never change this character or it's rules.
I mean, the scenario is pretty unlikely, but it is so hilarious it doesn't need a patch
If this ever becomes an issue GW could just say that you cant shoot back in your own shooting phase
Truly a masterpiece.
Wee need more videos like this please, it's just so good
I liked the part where the Necrons shot those Necrons and the Necrons shot back at the Necrons triggering the Necrons to shoot back... Etc.
Michaels suriviving Hexmark should get a neat little cowboy hat
Oh dear... that coupled with the reanimation Necrons have this could have been endless.
Love the edit and everything 😀
Yall.... please never change this is amazing

As a fan of PlayOn, 40k and westerns (love the Dollar Trilogy), this video gets the "Triple-Seal of Approval" from me.
*stamps x3*
Perfectly executed. What a fun way to play out a unique situation.

Loved this! Would love some more fun shorts like this. Your content is the best out there, keep it up!

This was one of the funniest Play On vids I've ever seen - couldn't stop laughing the whole time! Thanks for this gang!! 🤣🤣
Clicks play on for a battle report. Sees this. Glorious
Love the old Glocktopus, i need another couple of these guys.
Everytime I’m in a tourney and I see a fellow Necron Player with an hexmark, I always offer a duel shoot off for the match
This was excellent. Well played gentlemen!
I’m glad your here
The time may not be right, but who knows. I hope you get better
I honestly think they left it in because it's such a specific case that can actually be resolved in a fairly fun way.
Some of your best content, guys. Genius!
this was fun, well done all
As a new necron player, i love this
So Michael's Necron Overlord is an old-timey British general, and his hexmark destroyer is an old western gunslinger. What other nationalities are in his tombworld?
Crazy to think Necrons were alive at the same time as cowboys… and the samurai … and the crusades … and dinosaurs.
This was amazing. Please do more.
Amazing! Thanks, guys
Fantastic! Could they make one about the Tyranids transport holding multiple transports in transports like a nesting doll.
So anyway I started blasting
That's what I imagine
The Kelermorph also has the ability so you can have a full on western shootout
I have not launched like this for SO LONG 😂😂😂
Love this edit! Great work team ❤
this is how warhammer was meant to be played! YEHAW
Michael looks good with that style of mustache
Can’t believe GW didn’t jump on this in the latest update….what are they thinking I wonder sometimes
Tak was wearing the hell out of that mustache
Love it guys!
What an absolute delight! 😂
The rule is fun, but the way to win is for the non-turn player to not trigger the shoot back... Then move in and shoot the Hexmark with the Warriors... Funnily enough.
The rule is hilarious.
Ok now i want a necron vs necron 2k game with 3 hexmarks per team, thanks.
This video is glorious!
Nobody interrupted with the protocol of the undying, legions stratagem. I feel like it would change the outcome.
We decided no command points for this fun little experiment
Tack on a moustache and Play On ! (Pun intended).
This is the unhinged content I need
That's was hilarious 😂, I'm glad other people read that ability the same why
You guys need to get John the Cron over for doing justice for Necron mustaches!
when a necron trades his spurs for wings
The Song That Never Ends, is now The Shooting Phase That Never Ends?
Cool I already wanted a hexmark , now i just need more warriors
I love the hexmark destroyer
It's interesting how GW thinks in its balancing, I mean you have these crazy armies. Meanwhile in the errata they just add pistol to the death guard characters and make their stuff just a bit worse
It's not a balance update, it's a typo fix update. Wasn't expecting them to fix the balance issues.
so happy i have two of them xD
Now i want to see the murderfang boxing match.
This is amazing
Best. Video. Ever.
It is so good I want more please!
this is my favourite video ever
Please do more stuff like this !!!!
This was amazing
first time I laughed today.Loved it!
Michael's accent ain't that bad
Thanks Partner
Outstanding :-)
This was great!! You should try a part two with World Eater helbrutes vs Death Comapany Dreadnaughts.
Love this
this is actually hilarious!!
Name the winner Hexmark Maurice.
can do this with kelermorph as well
Ive been looking to see how the rules works for units that shoot the hexmark directly. So does this mean that if the hexmark is targeted that the ability triggers?
Necrons in ponchos need to happen
I mean, to be fair, since I assume an army can only have one hexmark, while it is funny, that scenario isn't going to happen in a serious game outside of some sort of situation where the hexmark is close to something your opponent feels they need to take out immediately and can't get close enough to take out the hexmark first. It's really just area denial for ranged attacks.
Still, really funny short skit.
It is not an epic hero, yo can take 3.
If I may, it's "Targeted by a ranged attack", shouldn't the Hexmark fire Before the opponent gets to shoot?
That's my read on it as well.
The rule card states "After that enemy has shot..."
@@Metalrasputian Ah, Missed that. Thank you kindly.
Nice and funny video!!
Big question! The Hexmark seems to trigger off of targeting, so in the instance of an opponent splitfiring into mulitiple units within 3", would you get multiple triggers of it, or just the one trigger after its all been shot?
I feel like since it states whenever a unit within 3" gets targeted this goes off it would go off 2 times.
A+++ content y'all
Tex-mark Cowboyer
Thank god the Hexmark wasn't touched cause I'm building my necron list partly around the Hexmark as a major player
@@Unit-kp8wm One additional activation is being said only about melee activations
@@Unit-kp8wm the build isn't fully around the Hexmark, only a part of it
This was incredible hahahaha
I don't think hexmark is op, cause you can easily shot rangeds attacks to a necron unit from farther than the hexmark 18" range, and is not like his attack is super devastating either. Is more annoying than strong, which I think is what it should be.
god i love Michael lol
Seems to be EXTREMELY situational, lol. I mean, This will probably never happen.
Stay classy GW. Just no proofreaders on site
This was silly and great!
For any one who’s never seen them, google Mexicrons. Such a cool theme.
Wait, shouldn’t it of went on a lot longer with Reanimation Protocols ?
I actually don't think so, since it wouldn't go into the command phase for either. A hexmark is still a friendly necron unit in 3 inches of it's own self. So it would still trigger the rule.
Its still the initial shooting phase....
Well done😂
Nice
Too funny, I'm off to by me Hex 🤣
Wasn‘t there a ability to use reanimation protocols each time a unit was shot? 😄
9th, not 10th. They never left the first shooting phase lol
This is so funny I love you guys
o.O da heck GW you can fix Deathwatch's busted strat buffing uber-mortal's but somehow missed this... vid is so funny to watch thou so I'll call it a fair trade
great episode... very silly :)
