Two days later, on Saturday December 19th, she took her last breath at 11:00 AM in out arms. The next year, at 10/10/10 at 10:10PM, we lost our son Aeryk Logan to miscarriage at 15 weeks. Turns out my wife had APS. Due to a doctor taking extra bloodwork on a hunch is how we found out. Due to that we now have a wonderful 12 year old son and beautiful 10 year old daughter. They know about their older angel siblings. Losing a child creates two different types of holes in your heart and soul. There's the one for wanting the love of a child, that can possibly be filled if you are lucky to have another child. Then there is the forever empty void for the loss of that individual child, who can never be replaced, and that emptiness will always be with you, always aching. You NEVER get over the loss, you just learn to keep going. It's hard sometimes. There are times that just out of nowhere, and sound, a sight, and scent will send you back like it just happened, and it will bubble over and hit you like a huge comet turn meteor. Songs that were meaningful at the time can come on the radio, or in a restaurant, and just grip you with everything all over again. It's not easy.
