Hey sorry they never got back to you. Herringbone is the name given to broken twill patterns as they resemble fish bones when enlarged. I imagine there are several things you can do to play with the weave but as far as I know they are synonymous terms.

I have a question. It was recommended to me to size down. I bought a Broken Twill Naked & Famous jeans and I'm normally a 32 but I was recommended to do a 31. It fits a little tight around the waist. It is 100% cotton. I was wondering if that's okay? will it stretch to my size over time? or will I wind up ripping the buttons from stretching them etc?
If anybody tells you to size down when getting jeans do yourself a favor and ignore everything else that comes after. You should never size down (unless you really want tight jeans). Jeans should be comfortable right from the start, the buttons should do up without issue, and if you get them with a little more room to start you'll be even more comfortable in them. Raw jeans stretch, but they don't stretch 2 or 3 sizes. The only jeans that stretch out like crazy are heavily processed super washed out and bleached high stretch content jeans. And the only reason they stretch out a lot is because the elastane fibers were all damaged and worn down during the distressing process, so they stretch but don't snap back to shape. What you need to do is use our measurement charts, follow the instructions exactly. Basically measure a pair of jeans that you own exactly the way we measure ours, and based on that find the size that corresponds with the measurements you're looking for.
Greetings Bahzad and Risa! Since the Broken Twill Jeans are darker than the LHTs, will they take longer to fade? After wearing my LHTs off and on since last year, I gave them a soak and was disappointed that the honeycombs are not prominent. Did I mess up by soaking them too soon? What should I do?
I don't think you messed anything up. Perhaps some of the indigo seeped back into the yarn. Just keep wearing them and that'll fade and wash away. That loose indigo doesn't hold on for very long. As for the Broken twill, they shouldn't take longer to fade. The denim only appears to be darker because you don't see as much of the weft yarns. The amount of indigo on the yarn is actually the same.

I definitely heard a bit more gruffness with the Broken Twill (and Definitely not scratch testing all my jeans right now lol)
It was a bit more gruff wasn't it. At some point I'm going to need to develop a scratch instrument to perform uniform scratch tests.
