    The second I heard 'Praying' I sat there screaming "Where has THIS Kesha been?". I now have to look over her catalog because if she's always been like this on the album cuts, I need to hear it.

      Lee GaryB You'd be surprised, honestly. I always point to the songs "Animal," "Hungover " and "The Harold Song" when asked about really good early Kesha songs, and there are plenty of moments on Warrior such as "Wonderland," "Only Wanna Dance With You," "Last Goodbye," and "Past Lives" where she shows off some real talent.

      ihavevocaloid I love the singles off Animal and Warrior. My suggestions were to somebody who enjoyed Praying but not her other singles.

      I think the only single off those two albums I heard and liked was Die Young, the rest didn't really sell me on her but Rainbow absolutely has, I'd much rather be late to the party than not get there at all.

    I honestly love the song woman. I sounded like an intelligent version of the party girl we know to expect from kesha. I think it's a strong song with its instrumental and pretty empowering lyrics I like that song and I think it's a stand out

      ShortForAHoe Its more pandering than empowering but the production makes up for that

      I truly do adore "Woman". It's just such a bolt of energy that helps really sell the fun party vibe Kesha has been known for in the past. And personally, I didn't think it really pandered as much as it was short of lyrics. Still one of my favorites though!

    • @disx1317
      @disx1317 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      *Enter Name Here* Yeah, while the lyrics are a little bit bad, the production and Kesha have a lot of energy. Its a really fun song, but it could be better

    • @Lynchotype
      @Lynchotype 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      The instrumentation is dope, but empowering songs are one dimensional as shit most of the time, there's no difference between it and a rapper hyping themselves up without any reflection.

    I have lots of memories of hearing her songs like Tik Tok, We R Who We R, Blow, Your Love Is My Drug, Die Young, Take It Off being played constantly on the school bus, middle school dances, movies and TV. I didn't really pay attention to her and her hits since I was ignorant about modern pop at that age and was like everyone else then in seeing her only as a singer of songs about partying and drinking and lumping her in with rest of the silly, shallow club-dance music around 2010-2011. Listened to Rainbow after it came out and liked it immediately from the rock and country touches and for showing that her legal battles isn't stopping her from making her own music. Agree with you, it's great to have Kesha back with this album

    This album was incredible. I love how she kept her quirky personality that she always had, even with her old image, and yet she can be true to herself and do the type of music she wants. It exceeded my expectations and I love the album a lot.

    I won't be one of those people saying I loved her all along. I really didn't like her first two records. 'Rainbow' is the record I have been waiting for from her. When I would talk shit back in the day, people would tell me how much talent she really had. She's finally showing that talent on this album!

    • @thomasrudiger2035
      @thomasrudiger2035 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've always been a fan of her and I loved everything she released, so it makes me very happy to see that her new music appeals to a greater audience now. Us Animals (that's the name of her fanbase) have always known her real talent and it's amazing that the general public finally gets to see it, now that she got rid of Dr. Luke.

    This album is a very welcome return for Kesha and I love the album a lot!
    Rating: 9/10
    Best Songs: Praying, Learn To Let Go, Boots, Hunt You Down, Rainbow
    Worst Songs: Spaceships, Woman
    EDIT: Ok I get it. I'm stupid for not liking Spaceship... Sorry but I realized Woman is worse than Spaceship. I guess I can say I'm not surprised that every comment is hate about why my least favorite songs are bad choices as no one expressed that they like someone's opinion but whatever I guess

    Worst song: Hymn (its still really good)

    Okay so while I don't like the giggling in Woman, she said she giggled because she knew the lyric "Loosey as a goosey" was a stupid, relatively funny lyric, and the laughing was kept in so the song 1. Didn't take itself too seriously and 2. Just to show that this was meant to be a fun song.

    Jokes on you I've always loved Kesha.
    She was my first concert experience (with Pitbull).
    I remember telling my band teachers I went and they said Kesha must have sounded terrible. But I proudly told them, "Oh no, SEE CAN SING. That whole [white-girl waste persona] is just a persona." They were shocked when I said that.
    For me, it's a 4.7/5 Stars.

    I've had Rainbow on repeat since it dropped Thursday night, and I adore it. Time will tell whether I like it more than Warrior, but it's still one of my favorite albums of 2017 (it'll be tough deciding the best pop album this year: Rainbow or Melodrama).

    I'm not sure if this record is better than Warrior or not, I have some great memories with that album, which makes me like warrior more. I think Rainbow delivered about what I expected and hoped for, but I still need to digest it more. There are some songs that I don't like, but I'm honestly just happy that kesha was able to even make music.

    this is the kesha that is what is so interesting. Its truly a break free kinda story for her and this album. Its like she became stronger from the ordeal and hopefully we hear more of this powerhouse for years to come!

  • @LostCommenter7
    @LostCommenter7 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    Finally! Rainbow was great, I really dug all the country-folk inspired tracks on here. When the "Woman" video came out and I heard the snippet of "Hunt You Down" I started hoping right away it was an actual cut from the album! "Godzilla" is so going to get overlook, it's so adorable! Though for worst track I would have swapped "Finding You" with "Learn To Let Go" solely because I am not a fan of the latter's production. Great review.

    Why is everyone so 'meh' on the song "hymn"? Love that song. This is a great album, and I've never been a fan of Kesha's music. I would say this is this best mainstream pop album of 2017 but "Melodrama" came out this year...

  • @erikof1390
    @erikof1390 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    You summed up my thoughts about the album really well! It's one heck of a comeback record where her potential from Warrior was for the most part realized. The record is growing on me with every listen. I really hope the weirder, more rock and country-leaning tracks do get promoted as singles!

    • @thomasrudiger2035
      @thomasrudiger2035 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Woman is the second single and will be released to radios very soon, Hymn is allegedly the third one. But I wouldn't rule out that she releases a more rock- or country-oriented song as a single later in her career.

    • @axis_gamingyt7231
      @axis_gamingyt7231 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      It'sJames let em talk and bogie feet are very rock n roll and thats not whats on the Hot 100 right now. She'll probably flop if she choose these two 😭😭 although I fucking love it.
      Boots is really catchy and the melodies are great. Idk maybe its sounds alil bit cowboyish 😂😂. We want her to have succesful singles to keep is era going. Although not my favorite I think Hymn can be something and chart because its very pop. My favorites are Bastards, Godzilla and Spaceship just coz their very different and kinda trippy.
