Street Trash has the craziest steadicam shots. The work was so good that the director, J. Michael Muro, was noticed and hired by a bunch of productions to be their stedicam operator. He's credited in basically all the 90s James Cameron movies for example along with a bunch of other well known titles.
well bless my lucky stars, TWO of my favorites getting covered this month, Payback and The Front Page. Payback i have a big soft spot for, love the neo noir corporate vibes. The director's cut is way more 'gritty' and lacks most of the humor that the theatrical cut benefits from (and Kristofferson is great as the final bad guy). both interesting but i far prefer the theatrical cut. DO YOU SEE ME REACHIN FOR MY FUCKIN WALLET. I also love Front Page, big sucker for Matthau and Lemmon, sad you didn't vibe with it.
Payback is the entire reason I love the Dean Martin song about a hole in the boat or whatever. How lucky can one guy be I kissed her and she kissed me like a fella once said ain't love a kick in The Head blah blah blah blah blah
You guys mentioned Garth Meranghi's Dark place recently. Wanted to bring to your attention that there's two Garth Meranghi books currently, and the audiobook versions are narrated by Matthew Holness in-character. Also, I recommend the film adaptation of Billy Budd from 1962. Robert Ryan plays the bad guy and he's awesome ( as usual )
@reverseangle. I know you both bang the drum on physical media. Have you seen the clip going around that shows the end of Psycho where the close up shot of Norman Bates is shown with his smirk, then a recommendation for Big Bang Theory encompasses the screen?
So was that surprise twist ending supposed to be y'all screaming from being killed by the Yakuza, or was it supposed to be the Yakuza screaming and rage as they killed you? I couldn't tell.
Guys.... Look I'm begging you to stop doing this "I won't spoil it" crap. Hear me out and let me explain why. Sometimes you almost got me interested in reading something or watching something.... But I don't give a F about spoilers... Watching a movie or watching a show or reading a book it's all about the experience of seeing or reading how it's portrayed. It's not about knowing a GD detail of the ending. And when you almost have me on the hook but then just puss out I'm telling me an exciting detail I just don't give a crap anymore. And it drains me of all interests of checking it out. Come on. Freaking entice me. Tell me the damn spoiler.
And I for one really appreciate that they are regardful to their listeners and don't spoil. Spoiling the end of a movie or book or give away a twist would reduce my personal entertainment and take away the opportunity of experiencing it for myself. And I am pretty sure many other followers here see it that way, too. If you want to be spoiled you can always actively research the info and details you want to know. But if the rest of us gets spoiled without warning, we can't actively erase that information.
@@roblancoberto6782 stop being a lil B. It doesn't matter if you know how a story works out or not, you still don't know how it was told. And that is where the experience of watching or reading a story lies. Get over it.

Think De Niro directed “A Bronx Tale” before “The Good Shepherd”. Great movie that you should put on your “What We Watched” series.
“Start from chapter 1”? That’s what I’ve been doing wrong all these years. 😊
"The Front Page" gets pretty harshly criticized in the 2019 movie "My Name is Dolemite". Rudy Ray Moore was not a fan
Need the Buffy S5 review ❤

Great stuff as always - the ending sounded rough but hopefully you’re better by next month

Ah yes, Green Lantern. What were they thinking?! :D

I will look for those books, and try to check out that adaptation, thanks. --Robert
De Niro directed 1 good movie, A Bronx Tale, and it was his first lol. Well worth the watch and got a 4k release this year

I've been watching Deep Space Nine on Paramount + (hint hint, nudge nudge). You guys should too🖖
Robert is currently making his way through season 3.

DID YOU GUYS KNOW THAT ADVENTURE IN ATARII WAS THE FIRST EASTER EGG!?!?!?!?!?!?
I like how all your hypothetical impersonations are just people with mashed potato in their mouth
