They’re not “trying” to do anything A train simply trying to be a better human being especially after getting humbled over and over and getting tired of dealing with homelander and the bs the seven is on

It’s called bad writing. They tried to do the same thing with black noir. Trying to make him look like a good person by suddenly making him schizophrenic in season 3
@@bigboi4488 they did not justify a train or his actions. same goes for black nior. the show is just showing the changing perspectives of characters. they showing homelander as a victim of bad childhood and have been riding that rollercoaster for a while but you don't have a problem with that because the character is served in a plate as hateable. black nior was also a bad guy but him being a victim is not acceptable because it doesn't check the generic hateable part. so is true for A train. but A train character arc has been set in first season as well when he was confronted with murdering his gf. he was shown to be obedient out of fear for homelander. it's only natural to show the character learning to think outside the fear in order to eliminate the cause. does it make him a good character for that? no. but he is a well written character which opens more possibilities in the show unlike last three seasons in which they bring in a new character to take heat (stormfront, soldier boy, sister sage etc) so that homelander doesn't become focused as a generic villain with no material
