I dont watch LCS in the past, but the general idea coming into this MSI was that he was the weakest link in TL and that he could only play tanks which was a far cry from his SKT days. So far at MSI, he seems a total opposite from what people make him out to be. I think his mechanics are still quite good. He still has room to improve on his plays on carries but he had already said that it was because he was relegated to tank duties for a long time. I believe he just need more time to regain his past self.

I've been a fan of Team Liquid even when they were Team Curse, they have always been my favorite team even when they were at the bottom of the LCS, and well I was happy to have them reach the NA finals, let alone win 3 splits and beat IG, this is the best ever
Casters have the memory of a goldfish "TL destroyed them, aside from one game it was all TL favoured". Game 1 & 2 IG 5k ahead till the last couple of minutes. Amazing performance by TL, but except for the last game, it was not in a dominating fashion.
The more I thought about that pick, the more I poetically associated TL carrying a sort of fighting spirit from NA as a whole. Picking Lux meant for me said "thank you TSM for the lesson. We'll put it to good use". In the end, they aren't just fighting for a trophy, but for the sake of a region.
Am a fan of TL, honestly I doubted Xmithie, TL morphing into the aggressive and less reactive play style made so much of a difference. Xmithie really got a chance to shine for his team too, the mechanics in general from both teams were so impressive. This is one of the best games I've ever watched! Congratulations to IG too it could have been anyone's game to be honest and they played amazingly too. Just a really exciting MSI from this point on. I was on the edge of my seat even in game 4 when TL had a huge lead because I knew IG was good enough to turn even a situation like that if TL made a mistake.
Xsmithie is probably the greatest NA player of all time man....... I was gonna list Doublelift number 1...... But.... Xsmithie is the one making the hard decisions, the smites, making plays for his team more often than not and double lift is just the laner/carry. I used to say Bjergsen was the best, but he hasn't been good since the spring split of 2016. He's out of my top 5 I think. Doublelift>Xsmithie>CoreJJ>Impact>Licorice>Broken Blade>Bjgersen.

Some think this happened just like that in that day, but as TL coaches, at that time, said they used to watch the LPL closely since 2017, so they were very familiar with how this iteration of iG played, as simple as it sounds, that's good preparation yet many don't do it. I saw teams performing in a similar fashion internationally and their rivals losing in similar fashion against them, because they don't prepare for the rival, they prepared for the meta and the day.
I'm a TSM fan but I'm also from NA, I'm glad for any NA team that makes it to the finals. Anything that makes NA region seem legit is a good change once and awhile.
