@@COUNTYGAINS Yes! From their new album Invincible, 7empest, Descending, and the drum-cam video of Danny Carrey playing Pneuma. Those songs are all some of the best pieces they've ever created.
New album was released in 2019 (13 years after 10,000 days) I have seen them in concert twices since Covid. The name is actual meant as they attempt to make music that can be a tool in self improvement. It is your journey. My only advice is listen to music before videos. The videos are so crazy they can distract from the music.
Tool is insanely good and always epic. Check out 46 and 2, Eulogy, Vicarious, Jambi, Right in Two. You won't be disappointed. And don't miss the live drum cam of Pneuma- their drummer Danny Carey is unbelievable.
I just saw them in Corpus Christi, TX, they haven't stopped making music. "Fear Innoculm", their latest record, came out in 2019. 30+ year listener, they're my favorite band, no one compares. Wait until you hear their discography, they are masters of their crafts. Watch "Pneuma", Vic Firth cameras. It's their drummer, Danny Carey, live version. You'll be blown away.
Progressive rock is a type of rock music with complicated musical technique and composition. This means that the tempo, time signature, and style can change many times in a single song.
To put it simple the band became friends in 1989, they formed as a band in 1991 and released their first EP in 1992 and their first Album Undertow in 1993. Following that their second album AEnema was released in 1996, Lateralus in 2001 and 10,000 days in 2006. After this the band had a 13 year hiatus. Before their 5th album Fear Inoculum in 2019. A lot of people recently discovered them because for their 2019 release they allowed all their music to be streamed, for nearly 30 years the band only allowed hard media like disk and records meaning the only fans where the OGs from the 1990s. They have won 4 Grammies!
Precisely!! They all do their own thing and combine it to make it work. Rare for bands. Like zeppelin-found four people that are all geniuses in their own thing.
Yeah man, he kept saying guitar. It was quite strange listening to someone do a music reaction, who didnt know difference between electric guitar and bass. Also said he had "Never heard of this band" Then literally about 90 seconds later said "I have heard of this band but not heard anything by them"
Their music is soooo cinematic, and also you will eventually realiza that Tool bends time, their sound is so inmersive that a 10 minute song sounds like a 5 minute song.
The overarching concept here is about our hypocritical nature, specifically lawyers and the broken justice system. The title refers to the saying: “the pot calls the kettle black”.
I literally saw them sell out two nights in Fort Lauderdale just a couple of months ago. At the hard rock theater. Last album was five years ago and they are working on new material. 🌀 you will soon learn lol
They are most definitely still making music. Released one in 2019 and there’s certainly more to come……….thank God . try 46&2 you won’t be disappointed ✌️
If you play it, the Tool Army will come. Welcome to one of the most fun musical rabbit holes I know of. My suggestion for your next Tool song is "The Grudge". Also, try to stay away from the official videos for reactions, they're way cool but very distracting and generally have little or nothing to do with the lyrics.
if you are giving your honest opinion and not insulting someone on purpose and malice than who cares if someone gets offended. people get offended by everything now anyway. so be you , cheers
TOOL is most certainly still making music. They will be in the studio before the end of the year. Since TOOL doesn't go into the studio unless their songs are mostly complete, we will get a new album in 2025.
Lol…read further down in the Wikipedia article. Fear Innoculum was released in 2019 and I just saw them live in February. They’re going to try and squeeze out one last album before they get too old. Try Vicarious. It’s an easier listen like The Pot. But when you’re ready, you need to react to The Grudge and Lateralus.
Progressive Rock is defined by how the band incorporates time signature changes throughout the song. Tool is the master. Keep up the Tool reactions. The Tool army will follow. Check out 46 & 2 next. You wont be disappointed.
OMG... first of all, who hasn't heard of tool? Second, they are STILL putting out music and Maynard James Keenan has 3 bands! Plus, he has a vineyard and several restaurants! He's amazing! I named my first born son after him when I was 18!
Great reaction. New sub ...I suggest the song aenima off the album aenima But you must know with all tool songs you can't do a music video an have the video distracting you from the music....Tool wants you to appreciate the music and the lyrics. Just like you did on this reaction. Keep up the great work.
Enjoy the trip down the Tool rabbit hole. Also, please react to Tomahawk, God Hates a Coward Live...or anything by Mike Patton. Keep up the great work. One Love
You might want to check your info again. TOOL's last album "Fear Inoculum" came out in 2019 and it's been reported that they're supposedly working on a new album or EP and have already written some new songs.
They came out with an album a few years ago. Prior to that they hadn’t made music since 2006 due to a legal issue. Maynard has two other bands as well. Their last album wasn’t my favorite but it was still good. Lateralus and undertow are prob my two favorite albums with aenima being up there too.
Tool knocked Taylor Swift off the Billboard charts in 2019. Yes, they are still making music. The best music ever, imo. They do not fit into a genre. The genre is Tool. The Pot is a good introductory song. But it only gets better from here. Aenema, Right in Two, Sober are all easily digestible. Wings for Marie 1&2, Descending, Lateralus… ah hell. They are all amazing.
It isn't really a metaphor. Though there are a lot of double entendre. The song is calling out the courts for the hypocrisy of convicting people for smoking pot when the judge, prosecutors and jury have probably done it too. 'The Pot' is literally about pot, but it is also 'The pot calling the kettle black' ("When you pissed all over my black kettle".) The repetition of "You must have been high." saying both you were out of you mind to think you could get away with this hypocrisy and also, literally, at some point in your life you must have gotten high. So why condemn me for it? There is also the references to muddy waters. The situation isn't clear cut but also everyone in the jury pool is dirty. There is a line about throwing stones which is both a reference to 'Those who live in glass houses should not throw stones' and well as 'Let he among you who is without sin cast the first stone.' The whole song is littered with these double meanings. My favorite line is: "Foot in mouth and head up ass. What you talkin' bout? Difficult to dance around this one 'til you pull it out."
Tool fans love making new tool fans through reaction videos. Do more tool you will get views and discover a kind of band that comes around only once in a lifetime.
You know, Rome wasn't built in a day, and a Tool album isn't either. It might take a couple years, or more likely it will take a decade, but regardless the results will be phenomenal, and well worth the wait. Also regardless of the TH-cam video view count, this is certainly not their biggest song. Schism was uploaded around the same time, and has 56 Million views. The official audio, and Danny Carey's drum cam for Pneuma have 80 Million combined.
do The PErfect Circle - Judith - same singer's new band - well new after TOOL. amazing song. Maybe know lyrics & meaning of song - about his mom & her belief in God/religion
I don't know where you got your information from, but what you read is completely wrong! TOOL are active, their latest album came out in the summer of 2019, and I'm going to see them in concert in June. Also this isn't their biggest song at all, it's just the catchiest and one of the simplest, so more people get into it and it's the one we recommend for beginners to get into TOOL. By the way, progressive doesn't mean what you thought...
You must have read a old article. They put out an album in 2019
And they've promised not to take 12 years for the next one, since Danny is in his 60's.
Danny Carey is fit AF tho. He looks great for his age and could prob kick my 33 year old ass lol.
…which is like yesterday for Tool 😆
Damn! Weird i gotta check out more of thwre stuff
@@COUNTYGAINS Yes! From their new album Invincible, 7empest, Descending, and the drum-cam video of Danny Carrey playing Pneuma. Those songs are all some of the best pieces they've ever created.
Tool is massively touring at this moment!
Thats epic!! I gotta check out more stuff

Lol I also just saw em in corpus, great show!
AWESOME BAND!!
LET ME KNOW WHAT SONG TO REACT TO NEXT BY TOOL!!
Really one of my favourite songs ive listened to on this channel!
Vicarious
Progressive rock is a type of rock music with complicated musical technique and composition. This means that the tempo, time signature, and style can change many times in a single song.
Really cool!!
big guitar solo? nope, just another awesome bass solo that sounds like a guitar
Wowowo sooo good!!
@@COUNTYGAINSTry Invincible for another bad ass bass solo. They have 52 songs. Good luck finding a bad one.
To put it simple the band became friends in 1989, they formed as a band in 1991 and released their first EP in 1992 and their first Album Undertow in 1993. As I read once, Tool is a band of unbelievable solos with the genius of Tool being they perform the solos at the same time
Precisely!! They all do their own thing and combine it to make it work. Rare for bands. Like zeppelin-found four people that are all geniuses in their own thing.
I gotta check them out
The beginning groove is mostly just the bass actually
Yeah man, he kept saying guitar. It was quite strange listening to someone do a music reaction, who didnt know difference between electric guitar and bass.
Also said he had "Never heard of this band" Then literally about 90 seconds later said "I have heard of this band but not heard anything by them"
Awesome love it
To be fair bass is a type of guitar. And the guy admitted he doesn’t know a lot about this genre of music
I would recommend Tool’s song “Right in Two”.
I second, third, fourth….🌀
You need to start the tool journey and spiral out in this music, a very intricate and very spiritual music.
Their most recent album came out in 2019, and they’re working on a new album.
Their music is soooo cinematic, and also you will eventually realiza that Tool bends time, their sound is so inmersive that a 10 minute song sounds like a 5 minute song.
Welcome to one of the greatest bands in history, with one of the best drummers of all time. The songs definitely get crazier
Love the genuine reaction from a soon to be Tool Army member!! Maynard done got himself another one!!! LETS GO!!!!
Tool - Vicarious would be a good next track to listen to
Coming up!!
The overarching concept here is about our hypocritical nature, specifically lawyers and the broken justice system. The title refers to the saying: “the pot calls the kettle black”.
It's time to go down the rabbithole young man.
Tool is more of an experience than a band. Keep Spiraling Out...
I literally saw them sell out two nights in Fort Lauderdale just a couple of months ago. At the hard rock theater. Last album was five years ago and they are working on new material. 🌀 you will soon learn lol
Check out "46 & 2" "Lateralus " "Stinkfist" too many to list. ❤
Justin Chancellor is from England!
I love the fact that you called the guitar solo 😎🤙🏼
Prog rock is basically complex rock. Tool, Rush, and Yes are the standard bearers.
The Pot gets such huge viewer count because it's generally pitched as the entry point to their music. But their entire discography is gold.
And its amazing !!
You just opened the TooL box!..😎🤘👍
They still making music homie
They are most definitely still making music. Released one in 2019 and there’s certainly more to come……….thank God . try 46&2 you won’t be disappointed ✌️
The lead singer of Tool has done a rap song, sung country songs he sings everything.

They’re still making music and working on a new album as we speak. Maynard also sings in 2 other great bands

Try Vicarious. It’s an easier listen like The Pot. But when you’re ready, you need to react to The Grudge and Lateralus.
A big reason this song is popular is because it’s easy to follow time signature wise. It’s in mostly standard 4/4 like a lot of music is composed.
Progressive Rock is defined by how the band incorporates time signature changes throughout the song. Tool is the master. Keep up the Tool reactions. The Tool army will follow. Check out 46 & 2 next. You wont be disappointed.
Their last album was five years ago. They plan to put out more music. They tour constantly. And yes, they are their own style.
They definitely are still making music.. Fear Inoculum was released on November 30, 2019..
Actually it was September😊
They are still making music, we will get a new album next year.
cant wait to hear it!!
Tool is absolutely still relevant. Probably the most impressive live show touring still. Seen them twice in the last 8 months 🌀🤘🏼
Awesome!!
You've picked the 1 Tool song that is in 4/4 and follows a standard beat!
Next time you listen to a Tool track, you will hear how different they are.
OMG... first of all, who hasn't heard of tool? Second, they are STILL putting out music and Maynard James Keenan has 3 bands! Plus, he has a vineyard and several restaurants! He's amazing! I named my first born son after him when I was 18!

You need to read more than just one article, they are very much still making music to this day! Currently out on tour!
Vicarious, also from the same 10,000 Days album, would be a great choice. Similar energy level and of course thought-provoking lyrics.
❤Tool❤ they dont make mediocre stuff always immaculate. Theyre working on next album now and last was 2019. You need to do more Tool, youll like it

oh wow thats epic!! swift is hard to beat!!
Tool IS still making music..and Maynard has a total of 3 bands.
TOOL, A Perfect Circle and Pucifer
this song is about marijuana legalization lol
"Progressive" rock is rock music in which the song progresses. Like a sherpa guiding you through a wilderness. So enjoy the ride.
De hecho es rock técnico
React to schism. You won't be disappointed.
coming tommorw it was epic
Tool do be uniquely timeless and artful.
Tool is to rock
As Aesop Rock is to rap
If you haven't listened to Aes definitely do that as well.
Avenged Sevenfold, Sleep Token, Linkin Park, Bad Omens, Motionless in White. Bands to check out
Many great songs, and they can slow it down also, but still with some hard licks.
You, sir, are in for a wonderful ride... 😅
Hope so!
It’s THE BASS!!
BYOB System of a Down is next
Tool is the best band ever! Try a song called The Grudge next. Freakin banger!

Don’t worry just listen
Better put your seat belt on for the Journey you are about to take...
It is ONE of their biggest. Wouldn’t say THE biggest. Try Sober or 46 and 2
