You know that you can just buy lasers with laminated perspex blinds over the laser that draws a line passively. Those have been around for at least 30 years.
Now all you need to do is attach a level to the side of it so you know your line is level!!! Otherwise it'll look like Ray Charles hung your chair rail!!!

Nice idea another one a pipe laser cost around 3k.... glueing a laser on a 2 meter long spirit level to mesure the gradient works also and cost 100 times less^^

There is no level anywhere. It should have been on the tripod, on the tube, on the motor shaft and in the mirror.

It’s easier, cheaper and faster to use a line/cross laser pointer, besides your laser doesn’t project a line at 90 degrees. 👎🏻
The mirror is cut into two parts and folded to each other by the back side so that the tube remains inside. Balance-OK, reflected square is good.
