I feel like a hose clamp instead of glue, would make this contraption easier to attach to the next can of gas. Just spit ballin, not complaining. It's still cool either way.
Creative and handy, but there are ready made long nosed flame gadgets available without hustle and risk of bursting fire. In fact, there are so many propane attachments and bits available online that could make a fantastic yet safe project like a breeze. All in all, great job for something to demonstrate as doable.
Litterly hundreds useful things. Like It may be 100% required in manufacturing and repair of Jewelry, soldering, shrinking heat shrink tubing. So many in fact I'm having trouble thinking about it.
a smart way to make a quick a small and sharp torch in a survival situation, with easy martials to get 😊then you can always improve it when you come to better materials
This gentleman MUST be Russian. If not, I apologise. Although it is very interesting, I have concerns over its safety. Commercial torches have flashback arrestors, which do not allow the flame to travel down the tube and into the gas bottle. I did not see such a device on this. If I have missed seeing such a device on this tool, then I must apologise once again. If it is safe then it will be most useful to jewellers so that they can "weld" jump rings, such that closed link chains can be made. Please carry on making these "unusual" items, stay safe so that we can enjoy your work for many years. 👍
Flashback arresters are normally only used where there is an oxygen supply, as there is no oxygen supply that’s why he did not fit one. But considering a jewellers butane torch can be bought for about $40 I would buy one of those and know I was safe.
I don't know nothing. Having said that, is there a way to prevent that? I came here in a serie of "DIY hidrogen gas from water" videos and wich they said that to prevent the flashback a guy put ciggarette filters in the pipe, another guy put glass fiber; and another guy put (i think) like... ...(don't know how to say it, i'm from Argentina)... the metal shaving for wash the dishes. Also in all those diy hydrogen they use a second mini vessel with water and air between the hydrogen production and the blowtorch. Could it be implemented in this kind of proyect? Are these workarounds effective?
I tried it making when I was 15 but I was making burner also but failed due to making smaller holes to pass the gas hole was 0.70mm so gas coming out was not so brilliant, today when I saw it it reminded me of my memories.... Great job but still needs more improvement.... It's not the rugged one....
It's creative but looks very sketchy. If you want a good small welding torch, buy a Smith's Little torch and get oxygen acetelene tanks and you can have a torch that produces a 6,000 degree flame and allow you to weld safely and efficiently.
Seems like a neat fun project. Don't know if you have limited access to tools or what but here in the states they make small butane torches for as low as 5 bucks. As others said PLEASE be careful... a tip over COULD go very bad.. not saying it will... just saying. Neat little project though!
Not reliably... it's more about the joining materials than the torch... electronics solder ain't gonna vit it and I don't think butane gets hot enough.
Great job. The flame shape is satisfying. I hope you make another video with the same torch but in a way to make the gas cane easy to be changed. I'm pretty sure you know what to do.
Just make adapter using the top from the gas can doesn't really need to be adjusted so just set it to when ya put top on and if it falls over the top pops off safety cut out
I would have the can upside down. When you fill up a lighter you hold the can upside down as it is fluid. You can still use the concept of a clamping device, to compress the Butane but I would hook it up to a BBq's propane tank, it will last way longer and you don't have to worry about bumping it around. Also look into a damping system in case of blow out, the flame gets sucked back into the line igniting the gas blowing up the canister.
So far so good, still waiting for the "metal _ Mini Cutter" part: There is nothing wrong with the project as it is, but I guess click baiting must have become a habit by now.
8:00 Nothing gives me more pleasure than watching someone teaching how to hold by hand a piece of wood and throw a drill at it to make a full length hole into it! Safety first, I presume!
Nice work, just a little disappointed when it came to the metal cutting part. If you can actually achieve that, maybe you would really have something there.
Excellent video ! 👍
nice! work thanks for sharing...😊
Thanks for your new idea and tactic nice talent , Norman Wray 😅
Creative is very handy with his hands it must be said - well done fella
Amazing! Changing the gas canister must be fun😅

@@moking8095 no bomb without oxygen involved in right mix inside the gas bottle. Learn some chemistry and physics before becoming a "wise".

I love it. Greettings from Argentina.

Thinking quickly, Dave crafted a butane torch from copper tube, wood, glue, and a butane torch!
Indeed. The only benefit here is flexible head & low profile for tight reaches
Can use it for brazing copper or cannot...

Litterly hundreds useful things.

Excellent tutorial...
It looks very good, can this flame be good enough for brazing ?
a smart way to make a quick a small and sharp torch in a survival situation, with easy martials to get 😊then you can always improve it when you come to better materials
good idea but you need a gas bubbbler so no back explosion when gas runs low
@@DeejayGrafixx not gonna happen because the gas bottle is always under more pressure than flame/oxygen flow.

👍👍👍 Bellissimo ,bravo
That's cool, and for all of the effort, you get about 10 minutes of burn time, LOL !
What kind of glue are you using
Thanks for sharing!
Be careful I work in the metal industry and often use cutting torches risk of flashback is very high.

it works with propane as well, hook it up to a BBq tank and off you go ..
Maybe attach the nail and screw to the can with a stainless steel hose clamp.
