I like how this is the first thing that comes up in my youtube search everytime i type "moog solo". Been a year plus now. Always easy to come back to this coz of that.
@@LeviMatza hi sir. Was going down a nostalgia trip and happened by Good Times by Chic. I really think that dance break section in the middle has a spot open for a really awesome moog solo. I'm sure you'd have a lot of improvisation fun hehehe. I've been playing lead guitar for about 11 years. And i was noodling in that section with a sort of funk r&b type vibe but i just felt like something was missing. Then i remembered you. Its like if we were in a band tryna do a gimic, I'd give that spot to you for this song. Good Times - Chic. What do you think?
i rarely comment on videos like these, even if they are awesome but no joke the first note you played I got chills....they stayed the whole time as well. I haven't felt this alive in a while........ thank you so much
Wonderful composition and performance! Nailed them both and especially 'playing the pauses'. many players miss the value of that, but instead you combined it with more interesting and thoughtful note choices, that displays talent and hard work, and good taste all around. 👏😲🤯 Well done!
Thanks a lot! I do upload personal compositions also, but like to do the solos bc they are fun and easy and get views. I have an album coming out soon w more fleshed out songs as well 😄
which preset is this on the sub37? or did you make it? awesome stuff!! not gonna lie, after watching your vids for the past year and seeing you on r/synthesizers (i think aha) soloing, because of you, i got myself the subsequent 37. got in this January. i really want to learn this type of playing!
Yes that was me on reddit hahah awesome to hear you got a sub37! This is really just a square wave with glide and some drive and triangle wav modulating pitch for vibrato, the sub sounds so good you don’t have to do much w lead sounds 😀
Ableton gang or am i mistaken? Either way, what a SICK tone. I never really liked the pitch bend because it always sound like a too artificial bend. But you make it sound extremely smooth. Respect.
Yeah this was ableton lite haha that’s all i have and thanks man! With the moog usually less is more so it’s just a simple square and I try to not use the bends too too much 😀
I’d say progressive rock, I would look into Pink Floyd, Yes, King Crimson, and so on. Also if you want a really interesting band I would look into Lucifer’s Friend, they have some interesting prog and synth work 😄
Its a music streaming service platform similar to Spotify but way better. I thought you had an account there already. Didn’t you make an album called “One Day”, sounds like you or I’m being trolled here hahaha
@@LeviMatza no worries, yeah its tight , i feel like synths are a bit underrated, i wish there were more music like yours, groovy funky stuff is off the mainstream market unfortunately
I watched a lot of your videos and would like to congratulate your for these good vibes! You like Cory Henry don't you? :) I hope you'll manage to produce yourself or with a band on stage as you can't keep this talent for yourself ;)
Gilles T. Agboton thanks a lot for the kind words! I do love cory henry ahhaha, also, I have an album coming out pretty soon on most streaming sites under the name “Levi Matza” 😄
Congrats!! Great sound😃💪 I would like to do a video collaboration together. Also with others musicians. I sing and play the ebass. Let me know if you are interested.
Thanks a lot man! also thanks for reaching out but my gear is very limited at the moment as I have been away from home so it would be best to wait until a further date 😃
This could only happen in a parallel timeline, where Y.J. Malmsteen is a keyboard player and plays in Pink Floyd, who are just a mediocre band because of that. The insolence....
My EP is out: open.spotify.com/album/4QdgKZeX2LeP5sOVnAM2fb
Imagine an instrument like this in the hands of Mozart.
The absolute godlike music he could have written
Hahaha
no sabría usarlo, simple.
Imagine if you just could stop writing shit.
@@brianemoratoxd si wey, eres muy listo por decirlo, no tenía idea de que Mozart no sabía cómo usar un sintetizador
We can call this masterpiece The Great Synth In The Sky !
Hahahha thanks! Love my moog
This was my absolutely favorite instrument back when I played piano. Crazy solo. Keep it up and stay safe. See you around... 🙏
I Struggle With Guitar thanks a lot man, hope you are staying safe! You should start playing piano again, I think it’s a lot easier than guitar ahahh
this is the most beautiful solo I've ever heard. Words can't even begin to describe how much I love that synth now too
Wow thanks so much for the nice comment! Sorry I am just seeing it now
Can you tell me what piano lessons or study you have had? Did you study books or have a teacher?
Lovely!! The best kind of solo: emotional and ripping!

What is the preset? So beautiful
Thanks! Just a square wave w glide
Wao this is extrem good played, zauberer 1970
🔥🔥

Vittorio Mazzini G minor, the backing track is in the description 😉

Yea
Is there any way I can get in touch with you I am beginner synth player and I need some wisdom of yours
Sure! I can do a skype lesson or make a tutorial for a small fee just email me at levi.wilde.music@gmail.com 😀
Tom Coster-Santana was a genius on the Moog back then.
Gotta listen to more santana!
How do you learn all of those quick runs? Do you transcribe alot of solos?
I haven’t done too much of that but it can be a good start to learning some runs
lemme see your dark side of the moon
BigBobby5595 you’re silly bobby
I’m watching this and throwing glances to my Sub 37 and wondering why it does not sound the same
Hahha just a square wave w some glide 😀
What would you call this genre exactly?
I really wish I knew this stuff
I’d say progressive rock, I would look into Pink Floyd, Yes, King Crimson, and so on. Also if you want a really interesting band I would look into Lucifer’s Friend, they have some interesting prog and synth work 😄
@@LeviMatza you forgot camel🤣
What name the keybord voice?
Just a simple square wave really
💫🌹🌟🌹💫
What song is?
I put the backing track in the description, it’s based off of the song “the great gig in the sky”
didn't the Floyd use an EMS VCS3? Personally i've found early moogs to be unreliable and prone to power supply problems and drifty oscillators.
Not sure what they used, no issues w my sub37 though, haven’t used a vintage minimoog before
Could you put this on tidal ?
What is tidal?

@@LeviMatza no worries, yeah its tight , i feel like synths are a bit underrated, i wish there were more music like yours, groovy funky stuff is off the mainstream market unfortunately
Yeah hahah not too much demand for tasteful synth stuff, a lot of demand for the cheesy 80’s style synth playing which I really don’t like haahah
What key are u playing in?
I prefer the original but still good! Idek how a synth sounds like scat singing but it does lmao
Are There Lesson of that outside???
Feel free to send me an email to levi.wilde.music@gmail.com if you are interested in a lesson
