Vinyls for the album have launched! They'll be available for the next 23 days via Bandcamp's vinyl crowdfunding feature! :) insaneintherainmusic.bandcamp.com/campaign/insane-in-the-rain
This whole song really feels like a journey. The piano/bass guitar part at 2:33 is so good, and the sax solo feels really impactful! almost like it's breaking through a barrier. This whole album has been absolutely incredible, and I also cannot wait for the video for Insane in the Rain from Insane in the Rain by Insaneintherain to release as well. :D
@@realryleu I went to a large scale Christian concert once and the lead singer of one of the bands asked everyone in the audience to hold their phone flashlights up (didn't mention the finger trick) it combined with fog machine effects to look like the air around the stands look as if glowing slightly white, and all of the lights of the other people doing it looked amazing, there was also a feeling of involvement as this effect was caused by the audience. Easily the coolest visual I have seen at a concert.
@@JJJSmit9026 I remember going to a very large concert where the audience was also told to get out their phone flashlights (not covering them with the finger either), a huge concert venue lit up with thousands upon thousands of phone lights while acoustic guitar music is all you hear has to be one of my favourite memories. I tear up remembering it, it was so beautiful
LOL! I was listening to this in the background and when I looked up at 0:57 I immediately recognized you by your epic beard, even without seeing the rest of your face.
I think that part at 2:44 when the guitar outlines a F#m7(M7) with a riff represents that phase in a breakup when you feel anger/denial, don't know if it's intended but then at 3:06 it releases the tension, thus starting to accept the truth. Amazing song Carlos, as always! This album is pure gold
i listened to this whole album, i even relistened it, but this song particularly caught my attention, so much, that i relistened it the most. And i didn't know why, but now i know, this entire song and especially fall out at 2:26, and sax solo at 3:42, reminds me why i didn't care that you stopped making covers of video game soundtrack, i didn't listen to your music because it's from a video game, but because you create wonderful music.
Im still kinda messed up from the worst breakup in the world 8 months ago, nice to know you've felt the same way and kept trudgin on. Been listening to your stuff forever man, keep it up!
The transition into what you do at 3:44 left me in tears. The whole song is that beautiful! I can definitely see this music being featured on jazz-themed Sirrius XM stations such as Watercolors. They need to play this!
This song has even more meaning to me now along with the album. My father passed away on Sunday, and after all the songs from this album released I sat down and listened to it with him, and before each song would play I would read off of the notes from your video descriptions. This was the last album I discovered that me and him bonded with, and we both agreed this was our favorite song because of the sheer emotion of it. Rest in peace father.
The way the song brings out emotions of something missing is so profound that it brought a tear to my eye towards the end. I can't describe how good this album has been, but keep up the amazing work man!
Absolutely gorgeous! I love how the melody skips to the top of its range before falling back to the resolution note in the chord. The trumpet and saxophone duet in thirds in the middle is lovely too! The strings are spot on, with tremolos to help lead into new sections and add wonderful textures to it. And the key change with all the saxophone shredding works really well for a climactic point. Lovely stuff for a “breakup song!”
That saxophone solo is an absolutely wail. After reading your description, it transported me to the day I broke up with my ex-partner, and on the drive back I had to stop ln the side of the street just to scream and cry for a bit. After that I felt incredibly free, but those few seconds of screaming into my steering wheel were incredibly necessary, and your sax solo sounded just like that moment felt.
You’re right, man - that sax solo in the latter half is SO powerful - musically AND emotionally . . . If my last breakup hadn’t been so long ago that I’m pretty much completely over it, I would definitely be sobbing over this one. I’ll just have to remember to come back here if I ever go through a breakup again.
Absolutely beautiful. I love the feeling here, grief is a very powerful emotion and I know it firsthand, even if it isn't in the same way you do. Fantastic work as always, Carlos!
Been following you since you were in high school, and I think night at Grillby's was either the first or the only Bandcamp album I bought. Then you got accepted at college, and all of the excitement of seeing how you were adapting to college life and such, and the rapid maturation of your musical side while you were there. There's a skilled Berklee jazz guitarist (early 30's so different time slice) that I'm friends with over here who was pretty jealous at your versatility, and seeing you continue to mature year over year truly has been a joy. It's really exciting to see that you have/had both the potential, and the life circumstances and ability (and hopefully usually the motivation!) to fulfill that potential. Whether you keep pushing down that road or don't, I'm excited to see where you go! :)
This one actually made me cry. The emotions in the sax solo really spoke to me in a way I can’t put into words. Thank you so much for this song, this album has really been amazing!
I love this song so much! It feels like it's looking for a resolution throughout, but then it finds one by ending how it begins; like the answer was right there the whole time but you couldn't see it until you went on the journey to look for it! Hits me right in the feels
Absolutely fantastic, the whole album is such a superb piece of art. Great job guys, thank you so much for this uplifting, motivating, and joyous album.
I just finally took the time to listen to this song and I have to say it's freaking awesome. I especially love the part starting at 2:30 going to about 3:00. Nice piece good sir.
Man, I just have been thru a pretty rough break up on my end, and man your music and helped me so much, especially this piece!! I brought the music for it and starting playing along and I've had a blast so thank you so much for all of the music and the effort you put into everything!!
I hear that invisible man motif a couple times there at the start. Very cool and smooth transition for the album, intentional or not, haha. And symbolizes how the songs are related too.
2:32 kinda reminds me of the credits to Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, in a way. Getting nostalgic just thinking about it. I love what this song is going for. Music is great for helping us process grief. There are so many songs that help fill the void when I feel empty and broken from time to time.
this song boutta make me look out the window while the camera slowly pulls out to an extreme wide of the city, ya feel? Edit: OHHHHHHHHHHHH SWEET BABY JESUS, THAT SOLO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love this song. The ballad feel was really nice. I've really loved the whole album. I'm excited for Insane In The Rain to be released on the youtube channel. I think it is my favorite song in the album.
This one's kinda low-key funky ain't it. I can see the screen fading to black and the end credits starting to this piece. Has that "end of an adventure" vibe to it, it me.
Genuinely the sax solo at 3:42 gives me chills every time I listen to it. Phenomanal playing.
So glad you like it! :)
The POKEMON VIBES ARE REAL. Love this track so much - definitely a favorite!
The fall out at 2:33 is a VIBE
Really wanted that section to HIT! Thank you :D

Impressive.
This would sound so good playing in a cafe drinking coffee, and reading a book on a rainy evening.
Definitely my favorite song in the album! Don’t know how to describe it but it’s just so good
Maybe the missing piece you were hoping for 😂
It has a kind of gospel feel to it 🤗
Man, this tune just hits the feels. Every. Time.

Thank you so much! :D
Heck yeah it is! When everything drops out except the piano and bass, I get chills every time.
So is this the song that we get our lighters out and slowly wave them around for?
oh yeah, this one has that kind of vibe for sure
all i’ve got is a phone flashlight, but if i cover it with my finger, that should do the trick :)
@@realryleu that's what I did honestly!

such a great track. That sax solo is really the crown jewel. It is such a release from everything that lead up to it.

Exactly what I was going for :)

That sax solo was nasty! Keep up the good work!
Gives church rock band in the best way😂😂

all of these songs have been amazing, but this one has got to be my favorite
The vibe for this song is different compared to the other songs on the album and im all for it
Definitely! Thanks for listening :D

The light strings in the background really give that hope behind the pain the main instruments portray. Nice!

The feels.
I really love the 3/4 time signature with the slower tempo, it adds so much to the piece and the solos are incredible.
This song has some major old-school gospel vibes. Very nice.

Congratulations on doing what you genuinely love. It really shows. Thank you for sharing your passion with the world.
Dude, that song is so... calming, its hard to explain
Hands down my favorite track on the album - this composition is gorgeous!

This has such chill and cozy vibes. I love it. (Also Pokémon vibes)
Smooth AF Boi!
This song feels oddly like a bittersweet counterpart to invisible man, I don't know if that's just me though. Great job, my favorite for sure!
I'm just sayin man, if you went on tour, I would go to at least half of your shows...
such an awesome song :)
Hey this is really good. Wanna go on a hike and have it on repeat for a while
Sax solo gave me flashbacks in the best possible way--- to Common Ground!
God bless me with that music. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THAT AMAZING MOMENT FOR ME. BLESS YOU ALL 🙏
Gives me "Vienna waits for you" vibes
holy the sax solo
This one is such a vibe!
Gathering of sadness
This is awesome!
Very nice.
What kind of mouthpiece is that on the trumpet? never seen something like it before
So every song's gonna be amazing? Fine, if you say so.
If JJBA’s Great Days took a chill pill
Nice~!! =D
THE ONE PEICE IS REAL!
please for the love of all that is good do a live show, I'll buy all the VIP tickets if that's what it takes
This song remindes me of when Fiona in Shrek was singing with the bird and the bird popped on the highnote lol 😂
I just realized that Andrew (Trumpet) is missing from the description credits.

Is that tenor youre playing on an Eastman? If not, what model?
