My dad was born in Miami, AZ in 1918! I'm a native Californian, but Arizona is also in my blood (NM too) and I feel somewhat connected to it by birth alone. Your channel is awesome and makes me wanna visit.
Took the the family to Arizona for a few weeks, in 2018, from Australia. It's great seeing your vids, can't wait to get back. Appreciate your obvious efforts that go into production. Stay safe mate.
My Grandparents lived in Cochise Arizona. Back in the 60's and 70' we would pass signs foe THE THING for hundreds of miles. Or at least it seemed so to a child. My Dad great at zipping right passed it every time. Finally one year we actually got to go and see THE THING. We are all in our 60's no and we still talk about the visit to THE THING! thanks for the memories
Great video. Thank you, I have only briefly traveled through this area like 3 times working for uship never got to stay but for a minute. I think I need to go back for the long version. Beautiful country.
I’d love for you to do a more in depth video on Oro Valley Jeff. I definitely need to go to these areas on my next trip out there. Only been to Tucson once as a child. That monastery is a must visit for me as it’s incredibly gorgeous and serene. ❤️. Your food looked amazing.
What a beautiful and amazing state Arizona is... as I told you before, I would love to live there. I´m curious on your next video! Greetings from good old Germany!
Another interesting fact is the highway that takes you from Wilcox/ Interstate 10 into Safford was changed from state route 666 to state route 190 a few years back.
You forgot to mention Will Cox Merchandise. Since 1880 Claims to have sold sugar to Geronimo. I lived in Sierra Vista south of there and bought my Redwing boots there app. 10 years ago. Hear it has since been sold
Hello from sunny Tucson! My wife is from Willcox, grew up there and graduated Willcox High. She lived in Dos Cabesas and say y'all should do a story about that and the ghost town up there and we simply LOVED your video ! Keep up the great work! New subs, Sherman's Ranch west of Old Tucson Studios
It’s 100% Willcox! 😅 Willcox natives will laugh if they saw it spelled this way, it’s a common mistake. For future reference it’s willcox with two LL’s not one.😉
Wow Thx I was born and raised in Safford remembering friday nights cruising up and down main street in the 70's. Rafting down the Gila river in the spring after the snow melts off the mountains. Going fishing and camping in Riggs Flat Lake. The Graham Mountains Observatory was considered for building the world's largest telescope (maybe the Hubble ?) Anyway thanks for sharing your visit through my home town. Got to share it with my parents who still live there. I'm in Cali
Watching your channel is like going back in time seeing all the places that I visited over the years when I was taking my mother sight seeing. We were staying in Tombstone and drove to Wilcox to see the Rex Allen museum. Stayed overnight and drove the Apache Trail and then down to the Chircahua National monument, then across the valley to Cochise's stronghold and back to Tombstone. The last time I stayed in Wilcox was on our way back from San Antonio Texas to Phoenix.
Hi 👋 , I’m watching from Chicago and I really enjoy your videos. I’ve been to AZ a few times, Phoenix and north - PHX to Sedona area to Williams, train to Grand Canyon, and Flagstaff. So south of Phoenix is a vast unknown to me, and I had no idea there was so much beauty and variety there.
I recently moved to TX from Willcox AZ, been here 5 months. Am a bit homesick, but your video just made my day! Miss Katy's Hot Dogs. Next time your in Willcox make a stop at Apple Annie's 🍎 in my opinion Oct is the best for the pumpkin patch and corn maze!
You should have gone to the little museum just south of the freeway in the Dragoons. I believe it is the Amerind Foundation. At least it has real artifacts from the area.
i enjoy your videos on AZ. Very informative. Thinking of spending the winter just south of Three Points at a RV/Ranch Park I need an affordable (cheap) place. Thank you
I like your tour here but you forgot Rex Allen's home town Willcox, Dos Cabezas mtns, San Simon on way to Safford, and such but of course you might be limited for time .
A suggestion: perhaps you could start with a map to give an orientation & overview of the area covered in the video for us out-of-staters not familiar with Arizona?
Loved the monastery and truth be told, I didn’t know it was there. You didn’t show us Apple Annie’s Orchards or the wineries in Wilcox. Going to the pumpkin patch is a big deal for city dwellers. Otherwise, good tour!
Moved to Casa Grande from Chicago 3 years ago. I wonder if anybody here has ever been to a Taco Bell. Nobody pronounces either word correctly-bunch of cowboys. Anyway, your videos are beautiful and well made. A valuable resource for a greenhorn like me. Thank you.
I am a former Tucsonan. After 20 years I went back to My as Mom was elderly. It is so over populated here, talk about peeked in. Miss ARizona and tired of cold Winters.
@@desertdweller288 Agreed. I’m white in color but my dna says different. My great grandmothers father was 100% Iroquois blood. My grandma on moms side is half Iroquois blood and my mom is almost half. Because my biological father is white I ended up taking his genes there and got minor qualities from my moms side. You can clearly see my native genes now that I’m older the hair, face, everything but the “tan” that my mom and grandma have. Anyway it’s wrong to discriminate against white people just because of their skin color or anyone based off of their skin color. Seems this person wasn’t taught about equity. But that’s neither here or there.
That monastery was gorgeous and serene. 😌🌵⛪️🌴✝️🌳

Can't decide whether it's Wilcox or Willcox? But seriously, a very interesting video. Thank you.

Can I come to Arizona now
Seeing that food made me hungry - and I'm trying to lose weight.
Tucson here in the comments
Great video just a few too many ads.
The ad-free Premium membership is worth it if you watch YT much.
Love the videos but can not understand the talking. The music is too loud.
The Thing is not a mummy. It is petrified human remains pulled from the petrified forest area in northern
Arizona
Probably from a carnival sideshow, lots of these types of things were made for carnivals, etc.
Yeah, Arizona has a huge number of aliens... illegal ones.
Please do not call white people aliens, yes what they did to the natives was deplorable, but we mustn’t de humanize anyone.
