Such a smooth transition. It never ceases to amaze me how these drivers make 13 foot wide trucks that weigh something like 8-9 tons look as graceful as career ballerinas.
@@user-fg3hr4kz4u its actually more accurately 5.5 tonnes. Which is a vast difference to 9. Its worth correcting because those 3.5 to 4 tonnes make a massive difference. These modern trucks are full space frame chassis with plastic bodies. They are as light and efficient as possible.
Always do a little bit of research on the venue holding the event in advance. I’m off to see Monster jam at London Stadium with my son in July…. Thankfully it’s quite a big venue though.
The venue makes ALL the difference. I don't go to local shows we have almost every year once, sometimes twice, due to the extremely limited venue. I'd have to travel pretty far to see a good show again. I watched one ages ago in what used to be called the Arco Arena in Sacramento, CA. That show was good. Other than that, I prefer watch recorded because they're always the best venues.
@@goosenotmaverick1156 Wouldn't the one in that arena be pretty small? I want to go to my first monster jam but definitely don't want it to be a small one
@@Bansheeflyr compared to what they try to put shows on in local to me these days, it was big. Compared to the rest of the venues they use these days, probably not so much. I'd say if you really want to enjoy it, make a spectacle and go to the finals if you can. As for the best arena closest to you, I can't speak to that. That was also years ago, maybe the size of the arena has expanded with time in my memory lol
that's really amazing & incredible when they ride on two wheels on the side & in the front & doing wheelies & lands upside down & manages to get back on their wheels & keeps on riding that's deadly.😂🤣🤘😎🤘 I love it 🤘😎🤘
To this day whenever anybody asks anybody to identify just one monster truck everybody says grave digger how is it possible that he is the best known monster truck
@@samueldennett1346not exactly. Almost every driver in Monster Jam competition this year are very well seasoned and have incredible amounts of talent. And this was Tyler Menninga, not one if the Andersons. He is very talented but is not a second generation driver
Roughly about a year lol. Almost every stadium show he was at last year. He doesn't practice this on his own. They only ever "practice" during the competition in front of crowds. He watched Ryan Anderson do this a lot before that though so then it's just up to completing it because you already know what to do
@@andylasceski they have actual schools where new drivers learn how to handle these trucks like pros, Tom Meents has his own shop where he practices new tricks, you expect me to believe team Grave Digger doesn't practice?
@@DiggitySlice MJU is where they start out brand new drivers. Veteran drivers got there on occasion in the summer if they want to try something new. For example Lee O'Donnell went in 2017 to practice doing stopping for a day. But they don't go there during the week or anything like that to practice crazy moves like a bicycle to moonwalk. Track conditions are way different at an event than the field that they practice in
Watching in truck, is not for the easily motion sick. I grew up watching these (been watching monster jam shows since the mid 90s) and still have a hard time watching the driver POV cams when shown. They use reference points in the arena quite often because they have fairly limited visibility. They can see under the truck more than they can see in front of the truck. Limited head movement too so it's really limited, which makes it all the more impressive.
Dang wish they could have done some cool stuff like this the show I went to last weekend , seamed like most the trucks were having an off night even the freestyle was underwhelming still had a blast tho and it was my 6 year old daughters first show she was scared shitless at first but then loved it
Bigfoot and gravedigger are the 2 reasons we have this sport!
Actually Bigfoot and bearfoot
Bear foot didn't last long enough to be a founder of the sport. Bigfoot and gravedigger pretty much built the sport.
A Big Blue Ford it was the Big Foot from a Man in his garage.
Bigfoot sucks....do they think they're too good to compete with the big boys???
Sure has come a long way from original Bigfoot
i just needed you to check the tire pressure
He was just checking each one independently lol
Probably running like 1 psi in those tires
