Overloon is a fantastic WWII museum. Located at one of the most fierce tank battle sites in the Netherlands. Many of the vehicles were left where they stood after the battle and carefully restored over the years. Excellent presentation. Thank you from Australia
And-our side somehow got by with just Jeeps, M4 half tracks, Stewarts, Shermans, some tank destroyers and a couple other vehicles. You have to feel for the German repair units, all those spare parts to source or scrounge. These vehicles sound really, really well maintained, thanks!
I can imagine the smile on her face was ear to ear! Did the Nashorn break down again this year? I guess it adds more authenticity to a display of German armor from WW2!!
Nice to see so many logistics vehicles being restored and cared for. I wonder how many of them were needed to keep one WWII tank operational in the field.
Thank you very much for the beautiful video and the editing with the names of the vehicles. It made me very happy. Keep up the good work and all the best. 👍
It's extremely rare to see a Hetzer with an aircraft gun on it. Usually, you see the Tank Destroyer version. You should do a show on it. Italeri for Bolt Action makes the only model kit I saw with that feature. So, it's nice to see the real thing as well.👍🙂
All these ultra-clever trucks with tracks, and they SRILL relied heavily on horses. My Uncle Micky, in Normandy on D-Day, although some fifty miles inland, kept looking for the horses - 'I knew that we had lost the war' he said to me once, 'when I saw the way that the allies had motor-vehicles beyond counting. If one went wrong, they pushed it aside and got another one - just like that!'
this is a greeat display to show how much better half tracks are versus wheeled trucks... the mud was a perfect way to show this. i wish they did this in the usa... all they do here is paint the tanks... at least in ft benning they are now inside... i remember visting ft benning years ago and their tanks were just in a line outside in a fenced area the king tiger had a tarp over it.. and in MD they were just rotting outside for decades
I agree. Although I don't think pink was associated with what it is nowadays. They'd probably just find it exotic and crazy. Back then it was more a color of beautiful flowers.
Excellent production, liked the captions of vehicle types as their are so weird and strange ones in there. As always top camera work thanks for time and efort to make it. Look forward to the next one.
Militracks is an awesome event and well worth visiting, sadly we had to give it a miss this year. Also plan to spend a few hours at the Overloon War Museum (where Militracks is hosted); they have an impressive collection of all manner of WW2 tanks, boats and planes, both Allied and Axis. Highly recommended!
Although it sucks that it was rainy for the spectators, it must have been fun to see how controllable they all were in the mud. those trucks/wheeled vehicles were doing pretty well.

02:09 Interesting to see the Maultier not having much stearing. Would have been nice to see an M3 Halftrack for comparison over the same ground. Nice Video.
That’s quite a lot of different vehicles for one military can you imagine the nightmare of logistics keeping all these different vehicles running in wartime
ну думаю, що в плані підвіски і двигунів воно доволі уніфіковане, як і в плані електроніки і освітлювальних приладів. А паливо було - бензин. Їх багато, але думаю там не надто все складно
I remember the 1989 military parade in Berlin on the 40th anniversary of the GDR. As a tiny little boy, I was totally fascinated by the huge, noisy machines. I can still remember how the ground vibrated as the tanks drove past.
Starting at about 04:58 in this video: FWIW, I first saw a _"Scheuch Schlepper"_ a couple of years back in a video here on YT. Might have been been here on Sofi's Channel. I tend to go for 'unique' vehicles, including three-wheelers, and THAT THING sure qualifies...😊 I also realized as i was posting this comment the name includes the Yiddish word _"Schlep."_
Nice to see the SdKfz250's but I always preferred the earlier ones with the pointed front plate. I know it was cheaper and easier to build with the flat plates but I think the early shape looked so much better. The StuGIII was nice aswell.
I was wondering if a _Kubelwagen_ with 2WD would be light enough to handle all that loose soil. The _KdF-Wagen_ at about 09:26 and the _Volkswagen Schwimmwagen_ at about 12:09 [which may be 4WD?] answered my question...😊
05:13 SdKfz 250 *Ausf B* and 07:08 dKfz 250 *Ausf A* are different modification but 09:09 SdKfz 251 *Ausf D* and 09:53 dKfz 251 *Ausf D* it's similar. PS 03:15 StuG III Ausf G late production/manufactured and this one on 12:39 StuG III Ausf G is early production/manufactured.
Zugfuhrerwagen! My favorite was the Panzer III, although it was already obsolete early in the war. I wonder if there is still a single running battle tank in the world? They were mostly retired by 1944.
First thing I thought when I started looking at this video was "They are going to be a bugger to clean" ! Too many years doing exercise recovery and tidying it all away for next time, I guess.
None of these belong to the museum - it’s a lot of private owners! Yes it’s still a ton of work and labor of love but these are people with their own projects and not just one workshop 😅
Really good that these vehicles, with an awful lot of time and money, are still running but a slightly false representation of the German Army (even during the Normandy campaign) that relied heavily on horses to pull equipment and supplies.
This event is just a technical sort of show. There's no intention of any representation of the German army and there are no re-enactments or even uniforms. You can see the vehicles individually, and even buy rides on the track around the museum but it's essentially a live action car show.
A little less mud next time would be nice. Also realising how hot the SdKfz251 gets, felt like it vents all the engine heat into the troop compartment!
It is rare to be able to hear the sound of the engines of these vehicles. Thank you for that.
Fantastic watching a Stug III rolling past a parked-up Panzer IV. Thank you for sharing this!! 😍

They all look so good! Thanks for sharing!
Was awesome meeting you there. Let's hope next year the Nashorn doesn't break.. again...
The Famo SDKFZ 9 with 6 ton crane is exceptionally rare.
Excellent lineup. Thankyou Sofi. 👍
Thank Sofi for the awesome footage !. So happy to watch all the vehicles able to parade without worrying about the enemy !.
Thanks!
To see these vehicles is one thing but to HEAR them is something else!! Thank you!
That was absolutely amazing to watch, thank you for sharing
Once again a great video of you getting to see and play with the best toys any sane adult would want.
Fantastic show! Thanks for showing us the many different types of vehicles of the Wehrmacht!
Excellent video! The Scheuch Schlepper was used to tow powerless Me. 163s off runaways after landing.
Thank you. I was wondering what that was.
Amazing vehicles! Also amazing are the people who keep these things operational. Thanks, Sofi.
What a great video and what a great event. I visited Overloon in 2012. It was fantastic.
Treat to see these still in good shape after all these years. That's outstanding 😊, Thanks cheers
Those tank engines rumbling!
That searchlight was unexpected, those are quite rare I think.
And-our side somehow got by with just Jeeps, M4 half tracks, Stewarts, Shermans, some tank destroyers and a couple other vehicles. You have to feel for the German repair units, all those spare parts to source or scrounge. These vehicles sound really, really well maintained, thanks!
What's missing is the German army of WW2 main transport, Horses !!!!!
The mud is a nice touch. The car wash must be busy.
I know there was A LOT of CAR WASHING going on after this event...😊
I can imagine the smile on her face was ear to ear! Did the Nashorn break down again this year? I guess it adds more authenticity to a display of German armor from WW2!!
It did :(
Nice to see so many logistics vehicles being restored and cared for. I wonder how many of them were needed to keep one WWII tank operational in the field.
Thank you very much for the beautiful video and the editing with the names of the vehicles. It made me very happy. Keep up the good work and all the best. 👍
Great video. It was nice to see you at Aquino, see you next year!
Those vehicles are like "hmm, I remember General Mud!" Nice to see you again!
It's extremely rare to see a Hetzer with an aircraft gun on it. Usually, you see the Tank Destroyer version. You should do a show on it. Italeri for Bolt Action makes the only model kit I saw with that feature. So, it's nice to see the real thing as well.👍🙂
Absolutely marvellous. A dream to have one of this.
HOT HALFTRACK ACTION!!!
All these ultra-clever trucks with tracks, and they SRILL relied heavily on horses. If one went wrong, they pushed it aside and got another one - just like that!'
More importantly, they had enough petrol!

Best coverage I have seen so far - thank you from South Africa !!
Hi half track girl. I see they had a lot of your favorites there. Awesome show. Thanks for sharing this event.
Thanks, Sofi! Great video.
The Panzer IV H & STUG III's were awesome! I bet the drive-thru Tank wash was busy after this event.
The whermact would be less than pleased to see all the pink hair riding on there Stug
I agree. Although I don't think pink was associated with what it is nowadays. They'd probably just find it exotic and crazy. Back then it was more a color of beautiful flowers.
I am in shock. So beautiful to watch. This falls under first class video but the real merit goes to the owners participating in the show.
Excellent production, liked the captions of vehicle types as their are so weird and strange ones in there. As always top camera work thanks for time and efort to make it. Look forward to the next one.

That's so cool! Sofi, darling, thanks for uploading your videos!
4:47 did that Half Track just Drift ?
Danke für das schöne Video ,als Besucher sieht man leider nicht alles. Bis auf das Wetter war es wieder eine sehr schöne Veranstaltung und ich hoffe nächstes Jahr haben wir mit dem Wetter mehr Glück.😎😎
The steering brakes of some half tracked vehicles seem not to be adjusted properly.
Thanks for sharing!
very nice compilation, thanks for sharing!
Very cool to see and hear .Love seeing these vehicles being used and still chewing up dirt
Thankyou Sofi !!! Hope you are well and happy...
I appreciate that
Taking the wife to look at a new Ford Kuga tomorrow, maybe a half track would be more fun….
Fantastic ®️🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠
well done sof
Thank you very much.❤😊👍🏻✌🏻

Love the sound of track clatter and squeak.

That Nashorn! Damn!
GRACIAS lo disfrute, hermosas maquinas
Great video
9:42 Mexican army still uses M2 half tracks, 100% real, no fake!
Sweet!
Superb collection. I assume that's the "Phoenix" Nashorn?
Yes, it is!
That is some serious power there... ❤
lovely
I did see you there riding on the bergepanzer 38, no footage of that? Nice video! Thanks

Grandpa's ORV is a STUG III. Taking the family out for a ride.
I knew the Nashorn was big but wow hehe
Danke schön Kameraden
Insmeggincredible!
Nothing like pass a beutiful day in a beutiful vehicles😮
Nashorn is really IMPRESSIVE...i am german and i like my nations tanks...a lot...💗
I am Chinese. Frankly speaking in the technology point of view, design of the German military vehicles are superior at that time. 👍
@@dannyleung3393 thanks
Sehr Gut 👍👍👍❤❤
TY🙏🙏
Cool. couple machines were new to me like the Krupp and the 38t with what I presume is a 20mm auto cannon for anti-aircraft?
SOFA KING COOL! Esp. the Schwimmwagen, Nashorn and StuG IIIG!
Super klasse ❤
Sofilein ich habe dich viel gefilmt shr schöne frau

Does anyone know the typ specification of that hetzer chasis at around 06:00?
Armoured recovery, if you mean function by type specification. Otherwise the type is listed onscreen as Bergepanzer 38(t)
Zugfuhrerwagen! My favorite was the Panzer III, although it was already obsolete early in the war. I wonder if there is still a single running battle tank in the world? They were mostly retired by 1944.
Bovington has a running Panzer III
I just want to drive the StuG III to Macdonalds and order for the whole crew! :D
Nashorn and 166 Schwimmwagen are my favorits
شاهکار مهندسی آلمان.... 👏👏👏👍👍👍🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪♥️♥️
Awesome
First thing I thought when I started looking at this video was "They are going to be a bugger to clean" !
Too many years doing exercise recovery and tidying it all away for next time, I guess.
"LOVE YOUR STUG!" - T-shirt.
I always wondered how half tracks managed to steer. Very badly.... LoL 👍
They're very impressive vehicles though, especially the recovery model 😮
Amazing they can keep all these running.

Sofffiiiii❤😮❤😊
1:50 OH NOES "the Blitz" is stuck in ze mud 😲

Are you gonna upload a video of the tiger being airlifted onto the trailer?
A little less mud next time would be nice. Also realising how hot the SdKfz251 gets, felt like it vents all the engine heat into the troop compartment!
