Fear plane has a special memory forever. I remember the failed entry, lost corpses, and gm petition recovery for entire guild. The noob days. Really enjoyed video.
Thanks Jon! Yes, I remember being in the death group that would run in and bait the mobs north while everyone ran west. Still, the wipes were massive and the fear (no pun intended) of corpse loss was large.
I'll see about making longer videos - my Kunark videos are 8-10 minutes each, except for the 3 epic 1.0 videos I did, which range 40-60 mins, but I'm starting to record Velious videos now and those will be longer. I've also recorded a handful of videos from other games that are ranging from 20-60 minutes each.
Cheating software is so prevalent nowadays every online game is compromised. I agree with you that this is a totally awesome way to play EQ. I don't think I will be able to do 70 man raids, but i definitely made a 6-man group to mess around with. There is just an overwhelming amount of strategies and knowledge of classes like you said to learn and understand without constantly wiping your bot army. The amount of macros to make and manage a full raid takes a lot of time. It must be fun to get them all geared up and progress throughout the raids!
Boxing an entire raid does change the game a lot. It's like instead of playing a soldier, you are playing the General. You're in charge of what your troops do, who casts what on who, and why, with limited resources, and who gets what loot and in what order, and again, why. Writing the macros is an ongoing process. I update my macros usually once every week or two as I notice inefficiencies or just outright errors.
I like this idea. Currently I am in Velious (Kunark videos are queued through early November), and I think at level 60, I can spawn a whole mess in Kedge and have a massive underwater raid.
Coming in the next few weeks, I do the bard epic, warrior epic, and cleric epic. I had no familiarity with the others so I ended up foregoing them out of time requirements
The problem with EQ now is it’s totally miserable to play without some kind of automation. Even the devs realized this with the mercs as a half assed fix. The game shines with an automated 6 box. Feels like Live servers are done, I cancelled all my accounts and moved onto Project Lazarus. Much more of an active and friendly community than the graveyard that Povar has become.
I was trying to do a 6-box group-content progression run on FV but I got stuck at Underfoot. Then I came across the local install of EQ emulator and went to mega boxing. I had 54-boxed on Project EQ for about a year, but competing for spawns became problematic.

Loving the longer videos!! PoFear was always fun to raid. You could either blow through it or you wipe 5 times lol.

I'd love to see you fight Phinny and Vox, inside Kedge! :D

Hey man, this one is really really quiet, I have the volume maxed and cant even hear what you are saying!
That's strange - is it the whole video or just parts? I'll listen to it in just a moment
Volume is fine while watching here
@@DaveOfDavelandGaming Yeah, if I watch another video its about 1/3rd the volume.
first!
