Hi 👋We are incredibly thankful to everyone who always supports and shows so much love for our family. We truly appreciate our Filipino viewers who care for our family, understand us, and share valuable information in the comments. When we face difficult decisions, we find encouragement in their support. Thank you so much! My children read the comments on our videos too. My son Oliver read the comments and was sad. The reason for this post is due to some comment says that Oliver’s health might not be the real reason we’re leaving Baguio. I'd like to share that We’ve been living in the Philippines for nearly three years now-we’re not tourists. As we’ve mentioned a few times in our videos, our family is genuinely interested in experiencing life on as many islands in the Philippines as possible. We want to explore and live in different cities as much as we can. Of course, moving between cities in short periods is challenging, especially with our children attending school. We actually moved to Baguio based on our subscribers’ recommendations, and we chose it mainly for our children’s education. One sweet subscriber even offered us affordable rental accommodation here. Though our time here was brief, our kids were happy with their school. We have no reason to disguise our reason for moving to a new city. Hope your misunderstanding has gone. Our goal is simply to share our ordinary life as a Korean family in the Philippines, showing the truth as it is. Oliver had been experiencing breathing difficulties for about a month, and when we came down to La Union, his symptoms improved significantly. We tested this a few times, and knowing the challenges he faced, we decided to move for his well-being. It wasn’t an easy decision for us to make, as coming to Baguio was a big effort, and we truly love this place. Our decision to move to the Philippines was inspired by our love for the country and its incredibly kind people. We immigrated to experience life in various cities. But when health is compromised, everything becomes challenging, so we made this choice for our family’s well-being. Please don’t misunderstand our intentions. We are sincerely grateful to all the subscribers who have supported us and reached out with help through email. Thank you all for loving our videos and always standing by our family. Stay healthy, everyone. Health comes first!
Don't mind those comments what comes first is or the health of each family member. Just continue posting your daily life in the Philippines and will support you all throughout your YT journey. God bless your family. Stay safe.
The commenter's suggestion to check with a doctor first is very valid. You need to determine if what's causing this is indeed something in Baguio. I hope you will heed that advice.
You need atlease to seek medical advise on what happened to Oliver! Due to high elevation, cold climate and your consistent travel to change from one place to another your body need to adopt and adjust to weather . Now it's also rainy and monsoon season in the Philippines, expect more rain and much colder days in baguio.
As for my brother, his asthma was getting so bad while living in QC. The doctors advised my parents to try staying in Baguio. Reason why the family moved to Baguio. He experienced difficulty in breathing first 2 months, adjustment period probably. He got better and his conditions got a lot better while living in Baguio. Hopefully, further blood test or testing will be done do determine if the higher elevation is affecting his breathing problem or might be something else, like some sort of allergy perhaps. Good luck ❣❣
Better to live in La Union, there is international school for your children and the weather is humid and if you want for a chill go up to Baguio for a day.
I am from Baguio and I'm happy that you love my place. Yes health is more important than anything. May you all stay healthy and safe while enjoying your everyday journey ♥️🙏
Please send him for a medical check up asap. Sad that he is not use to cold weather. You can consider Rizal for your next home. Get well soon Oliver! Take care.
you guys are living in a high altitude environment, that's why oliver is having a hard time breathing, it's a good training actually, but I guess it's because of the continues rain I guess, regardless of the decision we will still watch your videos.
Actually, it's better for him to get used to it. I was at his age when I moved to Bukidnon. Before when I was younger and lived in Laguna, I had the worst asthma. I was a sickly kid. When I moved to Bukidnon, I had a hard time breathing initially, but eventually, I was surprised that my asthma went away for good. It might just be initial adjustment but long term, he'll be glad he stayed. One of the most celebrated ultra marathon runners I know came from high altitude Bukidnon and even Manny Pacquiao was born in Bukidnon. Bukidnon is high altitude and cold like Baguio.
your childs health is the priority.. where ever you may end up again i wish for all your health and safety.. take good care of each other and hope to see your next vlogs again
I am also from low land then move to baguio for education. I am also like that before, I had difficulty in breathing but as time goes by I was able to adjust.
Difficulty breathing especially if it occurs frequently is an urgent concern that you need to consult with a doctor, not something you decide that this or that may be the cause. What if you transferred again but the symptoms still persist, then it might be too late since you assumed and didn't take immediate action the first time it happened. The best choice is to take Oliver to a medical professional for assessment. Health should always come first! Get well soon to Oliver.
I had asthma when I was a kid, disappeared as I grew older. My mom's remedy was boiled red onions, drink the juice often. You may add honey to counter the taste. Match that with a doctor's advice.
I think Bacolod is a very nice place to live - cheap, good environment and lots of good foods. There are also a lot of cheap house rentals in Bacolod and you can visit many interesting and scenic places in the neighboring towns like Silay, Sagay in the north, and Sipalay, Cauayan, in the south. DSB is also a very scenic place to visit. Bacolod also already has a Megaworld. Actualy, I am from Cebu and we're planning to move to Silay City, a neighboring town of Bacolod.
hmm... difficulty in breathing? you mean asthma? i had asthma and grew up in baguio, and is surving the coldest winter weather here in north america. did you get the opinions of a physician before deciding to move again? asthma is asthma whether in a cold or hot environment so the location really does not matter.
Me too I have asthma With Sinus nd fruits don’t eat dairy food , pero pagdating ko dto Sa Canada naalis pero pag kumakain aq ng dairy food nagssikip dibdib ko ,,ewan ko sa iba na me Asthma kc case by case yn get well soon Oliver 🙏🫰
My family lived in baguio all through out college years, i had that same problem as well. Coming from Manila , air is thin due to high altitude. I noticed im grasping air during PE (Physical Education) but give the human body adjust . Another problem i had was at night. I breathe thru my mouth. But do this. Get VICKS VAPOUR RUB. Rub it on his FEET then cover it with socks. I never had issues with breathing again.
Maybe what he meant with “difficulty breathing” is he cannot breathe through his nose properly? There might be a problem with his sinuses or the structure of his nose (example: deviated septum) making it difficult for him to breathe. Or maybe he experiences DOB ( difficulty of breathing) whenever he is confined inside the classroom or when he is surrounded by a crowd? Whatever the reason is, I hope it gets resolved quickly.
" MY GRAND SON OF 5 YEARS OLD KINDER GARTEN HAVE RESPIRATORY PROBLEM SINCE BIRTH ' BUT HE GOES WELL WITH HIS MEDICINE AND HE RECOVER A LOT ' HOPE YOUR OLIVER WILL RECOVER SOON ' FIND A NICE PLACE LIKE SUBIC, TAGAYTAY, BGC, MAKATI, OR LAGUNA "
just bad timing rainy season when you go there..maybe the best time you go there is summer when you come to hot places so that you slowly adapt the weather til comes rainy season which it is more colder..i think you can move to la union nearest hot weather from baguio..oliver health shoul be your priority
I would still choose your life back in Dumaguete or Iloilo.. full of trees around the house, nearby beaches resort, less traffic, the charms of the locals (they’re so kind). Life is so simple in the province. Maybe Oliver misses his life in Dunaguete, your home!
If in case your boy has asthma, cold weather is not for him. I have mild asthma symptoms (rhinitis)like him when I was in China and it occurred during winter season. When I came back to the Philippines the symptoms were gone. Sometimes the trigger for it is the cold wind, sometimes the dust and all sorts of allergens in the environment.
What I also noticed to this family.. They love the tropical vibe. Though they love Baguio. But western style of living like the cold weather is not for them. They have it already in Korea. They love sunny weather. They love coconut trees. And tropical fruits. They fell in love in Boracay.
It's really colder in the city, esp. the unit you stay in is in a lower level surrounded by trees w/c can't be directly reached by sunshine. Hope your family can find a place suitable for your children more so Oliver Stay healthy & God bless always!
In one of their earlier videos, they mentioned that they left Korea for the Philippines so they could escape the cold winters and enjoy the warmer weather. Moving to a cold place like Baguio defeats the purpose of coming to PH for these reasons. They also mentioned they like the fresh air/natural breeze when they were staying in Dumaguete and staying in higher altitude environment deprives you of that. I hope they finally find the best place fit for the family. Moving again to another school will cost them since they have to buy new sets of uniform again.
Why is it only Oliver suffering if that is really due to altitude sickness? I think it is asthma. Have him checked first by a pulmo doctor to be sure since relocating takes so many resources.
I think you’re having hard time with weather, traffic, pollution & huge crowds & no parking Space always, I think you prefer sunny and clean air like Dumaguete. I always have this feeling that you guys Will move sooner or later. stay safe and health & happiness comes first esp for the kids.
Oliver is the man, holding on to his pain. Thinking only for his family's happiness they found in Bagio. But it's alright, Bagio will always be there. Enjoy your time and life in other cties our Philippines has to offer you. Get well Oliver. Love you all. Stay safe. Hello from California, USA.
maybe you can try the lowlands or try la union, or Pampanga where there is a large population of koreans. they are still near Baguio so tou can go on weekends when the weather permits
Baguio is situated in a higher altitude which has thinner air. Thinner air means less oxygen and it can cause for somebody to breath normally. If Oliver cannot adapt to this situation, he gets an altitude sickness which affects his normal breathing, difficulty to breath due to less oxygen in the air. Also, bring him to a cardiologist for complete heart evaluation and assessment (check up).
I have an asthma too, i used asthmagen canister. Just a seconds and my breathing is ok. 🙂 i have no worries in asthma anymore. U can also check to a doctor that gives u some medical treatment.
i agree to have him checked first by a physician. and they've been staying there for maybe at least a month already. if it's altitude sickness, it should have started on first few hours to a few days since arrival. Baguio is not even that high compared to what mountaineers are hiking. it's just a little higher than Mount Pinatubo that even a beginner can hike.
Greetings to you sir and family...nice to see you all !!!Here, just to say I missed your vlog these past view days.Regarding about your son's health,it's really better to pay attention to it...
I share the sentiment of all your other subscribers to have Oliver be checked by a Doctor just to be on the safe side and have an accurate finding of his condition. Ofcourse health is the most important and we support whatever your decision is about your family's well being. One thing I am worried about tho is the kids schooling, bec the kids keep on transferring schools. If it is your family's unanimous decision to travel often, I suggest you consider home schooling for the kids (like other family travelling vloggers) so there won't be issues with the kids schooling being unstable and getting interrupted every now and then. Just my two cents worth, ofcourse the decision is all up to you in the end. Stay healthy and all the best! ❤
안녕하세요, Kim Family!❤At about 1,500 meters above sea level, Baguio is surely a High Altitude (HA) environment. Because Oliver is still very young and growing up, his respiratory system is not yet fully developed and strong enough to cope with the "increased barometric pressure and decreased oxygen level" in an HA place such as Baguio. (Compared to Baguio, Dumaguete is 183 meters above sea level only, while Metro Manila is between 10 to 30 meters only.) Also, it is a wise idea to have Oliver checked by a doctor specializing in pulmonary cases. This way, your family could understand better if the problem is really Baguio or something else. At the end of the day, nevertheless, EVERYONE is PRAYING for each and every member of your beautiful and happy family! 매우 감사합니다
There is no big question if you think that it risk. What I think you may reconsider again leaving in dumaguete since you can tour in other places like Baguio during school breaks. I know your kid can adapt in any situations but the schooling must not be compromised. Healthy life and safety is what we wanted while leaving here in our country.
Hehehe
@@taigaaaaa11siguro nahirapan din sila kasi almost everyday maulan kaya di makapag film maayos ng content. And yung complicated traffic situation sa Baguio plus mahirap na parking, di sila makapaglibot masyado or makapunta sa palengke gamit sasakyan nila. Tapos dami ring requirements nung school nila baka medyo tumaas din expenses nila.
Baguio City has a higher altitude it takes a while to get used to this altitude . Since youve been staying to the coastal areas and lowlands, lungs are adjusted to that altitude. My korean students who had the similar issues went ahead to stay for 8 years before moving back to the States.
Oliver’s shortness of breath is due to difficulty in taking in oxygen caused by low atmospheric pressure that one normally experiences when in high altitude. Baguio City is about 5,000 feet above sea level. Take note that it could be detrimental to his health so it is wise to relocate to areas of lower elevation.
It keeps raining in Baguio and in almost the entire Luzon since last week, coz of the super typhoon Kristine last week, and this time another super typhoon Leon which is now on its way to Taiwan.
Taking allergy medication and needed inhaler for having shortness of breath. Weather, trees, dust, coldness, hotness can cause allergy that can causes difficulty breathing. Anywhere you go u will have difficulty of breathing if u have respiratory infection. Go have chest xray ot cat Scan of chest. If all negative then that's allergy and taking inhaler will help a lot. It happened to me, I got inhaler in my Pocket to help whenever I have difficulty of breathing and take daily allergy medication. Having old respiratory infection sometimes it can triggered.
In mountainous areas, the air pressure is lower, which can lead to lower oxygen levels. This may make breathing harder for some people, especially children or those who have asthma or respiratory sensitivities. At sea level, such as at the beach, air pressure is higher, and there’s more oxygen available, which could explain why he felt better there. I had a hard time adapting in baguio as well during my intern days specially that I was asthmatic. You can outgrow it though, I was able to play varsity in football back in the day. The most important thing is to always stay hydrated.
baguio will get colder and colder as it approaches dec to feb of the following year. it will make oliver breath more a bit harder so you better decide asap
go and do what is best for your children, I hope you can find a permanent place because it is hard for children to keep changing schools and making new friends. good luck
Hello from Virginia, USA! 🇺🇸🇵🇭 I’ve been on a lookout for your video upload these past couple of days. You usually post every 2-3 days so I wondered what happened. It’s good to see you back. But I’m sad about Oliver getting sick. I hope he gets well soon. I’m also sad that you have to leave Baguio because I know how you guys fought to get there. Hope you get settled somewhere where you are all happy and healthy. Happy Halloween everyone! 🎃👻
he might, not wishing but he might have asthma, all the non stop travels going back and forth from hot weather to cold weather to hot weather again then cold may have caused it, better get him checked✌🏻✌🏻😊😊❤️
Every night before go to bed apply Vic’s vaporub to his chess back and nose it will help and to relax his breathing , and before going to school apply Vic’s vaporub to his chess and back , it takes a little time to adapt the temperature since u guys used to live in a low land and sunny place , but see a doctor , stay safe
Your child's health is #1 priority. Before you leave Baguio, have him check by a professional doctor so you will know the cause of his breathing difficulty. I'm hoping that all things will be sorted out the soonest.
Maybe you should ready a nebulizer just in case, you can try pinching some salt on water then put that on the nebulizer if you don't want to always use the liquid medicine. Or you can put some small plants inside the house for more fresh oxygen.
I think it’s high altitude sickness. He is still adjusting to low oxygen levels in Baguio City because of its elevation. Give it time he’s going to adapt. When he goes to the flat lands. He will have a higher stamina. Manny Pacquiao incorporates high altitude training for better stamina.
My opinion they should take Oliver to see a doctor if might be somethings brewing in his health and make their mind settled & not worry of Olivers health. You take care family 👌
Have Oliver checked by a doctor, in my opinion just a speculation, he has a heart problem, Baguio is high and the air pressure is different from the lowlands. This thing happens to my aunt who lives in Manila but when she comes up to Baguio, she has a hard time breathing. But when she goes down to Manila, everything becomes normal.
That's we call altitude you must adopt first the environment and the temperature before you going to another places because hot and cold weather will affect your body
I think it will be best to stay in a place with an established Korean Community. It will help with your well being and you can easily adjust and adapt better in that environment
High altitude cities like Baguio has thinner air, meaning there's less oxygen in each breath. So for some people, it will be a struggle living there...
There are hot springs resort on the city side like in Asin, maybe Oliver and your family can try it first. It might help you all to relax before leaving Baguio
High altitude, cold place cons, High-elevation environments expose travelers to cold, low humidity, increased ultraviolet radiation, and decreased air pressure, all of which can cause health problems. The biggest concern, however, is hypoxia, due to the decreased partial pressure of oxygen (PO2).
try going to the doctors. maybe another thing could he be having anxiety? anxiety due to new environment, new school. try getting professional help. there are so many good hospitals and doctors in Baguio

Yeah it is time to adjust and adapt to the weather cycle. So winter jackets are required cos it's rainy. And hoodies.

And he will also get used to the cold
We are glad that you guys are finally back vlogging!

매우 감사합니다
Kuya Oliver, be healthy ♥
Angeles has the huge korean community in the country. Whenever our family cravings for an authentic korean meals, we go Angels for food trip.
There is no big question if you think that it risk. What I think you may reconsider again leaving in dumaguete since you can tour in other places like Baguio during school breaks. I know your kid can adapt in any situations but the schooling must not be compromised. Healthy life and safety is what we wanted while leaving here in our country.
It's living,not leaving
@Philball-h1u sorry autocorrect
Hehehe
Baguio City has a higher altitude it takes a while to get used to this altitude . Since youve been staying to the coastal areas and lowlands, lungs are adjusted to that altitude. My korean students who had the similar issues went ahead to stay for 8 years before moving back to the States.
Oliver’s shortness of breath is due to difficulty in taking in oxygen caused by low atmospheric pressure that one normally experiences when in high altitude. Baguio City is about 5,000 feet above sea level. Take note that it could be detrimental to his health so it is wise to relocate to areas of lower elevation.
It keeps raining in Baguio and in almost the entire Luzon since last week, coz of the super typhoon Kristine last week, and this time another super typhoon Leon which is now on its way to Taiwan.
what a weather, so nice raining and cold! I miss Baguio so much!
It could be due to pollen or molds which is common in Baguio.
I live in the States. I usually drive to Lake Tahoe for vacation. When we walk around places i have difficulty breathing due to high elevation
It’s not good to keep moving your children to different schools. It takes time to acclimate to higher elevation.
It happened to me, I got inhaler in my
Pocket to help whenever I have difficulty of breathing and take daily allergy medication.
Hi 👋Actually, my son drank 1 liter of water a day when he was going to school in Baguio. Thanks for the information.💜💜💜
baguio will get colder and colder as it approaches dec to feb of the following year. it will make oliver breath more a bit harder so you better decide asap
Get well soon, try Ilocos Norte. It's a nice weather. And it's beautiful because of our province. God bless you all
you can visit again baguio but for now oliver needs medical attention in manila theres a lot of hospital as well as school and cheap house to stay..
Get well soon 🙏❤ Oliver
go and do what is best for your children, I hope you can find a permanent place because it is hard for children to keep changing schools and making new friends. good luck
Oh yay… I’ve been waiting for your videos to post. I hope you guys are feeling better ❤
Get well soon Oliver. I will recommend Angeles City Pampanga if you guys want to relocate and more closer to Manila and not far away from Baguio also.
he might, not wishing but he might have asthma, all the non stop travels going back and forth from hot weather to cold weather to hot weather again then cold may have caused it, better get him checked✌🏻✌🏻😊😊❤️
when I first visit baguio its hard to breath I also get dizzy bit after coming to baguio every holidy I got used to its high altitude
the terrain, the air pressure is different in highland. I think it would even help him if he exercise well.
Better to have him check first by the doctor address the problem, get well soon oliver!!!
In high altitude the air is thin. So body needs time to adjust. If its asthma, i guess he needs to see a Doctor. ❤
It's okay we're here to support you❤Godbless you guys😊
Hello Korea.
Miss you Lynn kim
so excited for you videos all the time please keep making videos❤❤❤
Maybe Oliver is sensitive to high altitude!
Wish you all the best!
We definitely understand, you guys' children safety always comes first.. Get well soon Oliver.
Thank you for your concern. My family is still happy to live in the Philippines.💘💘💘
PLEASE take those good advices ....for Oliver's health ...
I think you can check Tagaytay, La Union, and Ilocos. These places are great.
think 100xxx aside from vlogging you still need a steady income or stable job to sustain your life in a foreign land. The kids will suffer the most.
My opinion they should take Oliver to see a doctor if might be somethings brewing in his health and make their mind settled & not worry of Olivers health. You take care family 👌
get well Oliver
Have Oliver checked by a doctor, in my opinion just a speculation, he has a heart problem, Baguio is high and the air pressure is different from the lowlands.
This thing happens to my aunt who lives in Manila but when she comes up to Baguio, she has a hard time breathing. But when she goes down to Manila, everything becomes normal.
is his blood pressure normal? something causing his altitude sickness, if it doesnt go away after resting, you need to get him checked by doctor.
I think Clark or Angeles is perfect for your family.
stay safe fam.for your son seek specialist doctor because baguio is really cold place high altitudes hope everything will be alright. fighting🙏💪
High altitude, cold place cons, High-elevation environments expose travelers to cold, low humidity, increased ultraviolet radiation, and decreased air pressure, all of which can cause health problems. The biggest concern, however, is hypoxia, due to the decreased partial pressure of oxygen (PO2).
try going to the doctors. maybe another thing could he be having anxiety? anxiety due to new environment, new school. try getting professional help. there are so many good hospitals and doctors in Baguio
cold days Baguio there is rain instead of snow like in your country Korea
올리버가 잘 지내고 있길 바라. 너희들은 항상 몸조심해. 태풍 시즌이라 항상 비가 온다. 우리에게 계속 알려줘. ❤
