@@ToonMageChannel That is not why people are complaining about current Pokemon. We are complaining about the LOW EFFORT and total lack of passion in the games now as GF only cares about pumping out low effort trash that is CLEARLY rushed out as cheaply and quickly as possible to maximize profits.

To be honest, I want a open world Pokemon game where you can travel all region in one game. Plus, every gym leader you defeat them...you can get their outfits, haircut, eye color, etc.
From my perspective, TT is saying to make it similar to Botw because that game is quite literally the perfect definition of what an overworld game should be, from the environment, interactions, physics, attention to detail, etc. We can also see from the LoA trailer that the game is at least inspired from Botw via its visuals/graphics. Who wouldn't want an overworld game that was like Zelda?

Regardless with how Legends: Arceus comes out (which I’m still having high hopes for), it’s going to change the way we think of Pokemon and will start the building blocks for Generation 9 and beyond.

@@Cream12345Ice why though, they were really good remakes, added a lot of things , even more so than fire red and leafgreen, oras on the other hand ore not bad per se but have lacked some stuff from emerald eich should have been in the game
It’d be really interesting, too, if the boss Pokémon use the plate they guard to use an otherwise-impossible type-like an Ice-Type Garchomp or a Poison-Type Gardevoir.
Maybe if the trainer gets hit it damages some sorta communication bar. If this bar goes to zero your pokemon won't hear you/listen to you, they skip their turn until next round when it has slightly recharged. Something like that.
My take on your dungeon idea First dungeon: starter dungeon(based on starter choice) boss Ninetails(Fire) Tentacruel(water) Roserade(Grass) Second dungeon: strength dungeon(puzzles involve Rock and fighting types) boss Machamp Third dungeon: Wind dungeon(puzzles involve controlling wind to move) boss Drangonite (Next 3 can be done in any order) Metal dungeon: (on iron island) (involves swinging in chains and breaking metal doors) boss Steelix Mud dungeon: (in great marsh) (involves crossing bogs with ground and poison types) boss Toxicroak Lava dungeon: (in stark mountain) (involves cooling magma spots) boss Magmortar (After all 3 previous ones are complete) Storm dungeon: (involves connecting power to metal spires to awaken boss) boss Electivire Frost dungeon: (involves freezing pools of water to create paths) boss (tag team) Abomasnow and Froslass. Final dungeon Life dungeon: (in mt coronet) (involves learning lore as you make your way through mt coronet to spear pillar) Boss Arceus. Add postgame dungeons for other legendary lies like a Moon dungeon for cresselia and darkrai and a Regi themed dungeon for regigigas

I just hope they take the opportunity to actually expand the lore. Like get some answers about the wars or the two kings or the creation trio or the Regis or the Draconids or literally anything they've set up lmao
for the 8 plates idea, I hope the order you collect them isn't completely linear. It should have some linearity since there's gonna be a level curve, but I hope at least a few of the plates will be balanced so that you could collect, let's say plates 3-5 in any order.
Your theoretical game design make so much sense and should be integral to any smart and fun open world game especially designed by POKEMON but What would you have to do to get GF to acknowledge/process/include this if they haven’t already?!
this feels like Zelda crossover fanfiction...would be an interesting game, especially if the Zelda team was making it, but what we're describing is not a Pokemon game lol

I think the main conflict of the game shouldn't be like a random earthquake lol it should be like a "ganon destroying the world" level of conflict. Maybe in this game the jewel of life has been stolen by an anti-arceus group and it caused arceus to become weak and maybe giratina comes back for revenge and you have to beat it in a battle to save the world. Something like that but most importantly, it needs to be epic. The 8 plates system is not as appealing as it sounds imo because it's a lot like the gyms. A good 5-6 long arcs with hundreds of pokemon-lore-based side quests in between is enough honestly if they can get the players immersed to the story and environment. And I think we shouldn't be able to catch arceus by any means unless he wants to be captured. You said it, why can a ten year old just catch palkia that easily. You also pointed out in swsh that they fix the player and made it so that our power is believable and it should be in this game too. And it wouldn't be bad if we can't catch all the pokemon, our aim is to complete the first sinnoh pokedex after all, so we don't necessarily have to catch them all.
@@sarthakarora3212 it's my childhood company I never lost my believe in them but the last years were hard ones and I just hope that they have learned from them if they still care in any sence about their community
This is the make or break games for Pokémon. I know they are the highest grossing franchise, by it could be over more quickly than you think. Or it could succeed better than before, who knows
Pokemon has reached this "too big to fail" status a long time ago. Legends Arceus could literally run at 11 FPS during every fight and be the dumbest "catch a few Mons and get to Arceus" with no other objective and it'd be one of the highest selling games in the franchise, mark my words. In the end even if it looks like it sucks, most people won't see it and will buy it because they saw on an ad that the new pokemon game has come out. Those who will look into it before buying will most likely still buy to give it a chance. Sword and Shield was my last Pokemon game until they make a good one again, for far too long I've been in the camp of "This isn't great but it's Pokemon, I'm sure the next one will be amazing again."
lol the thought process of "its number one now, but might fall off" is beyond infantile. Unaware people think pokemon is like pogs, neopets or beanie babies...... it's not, it's more secure than disney. People have become so generationally stupid.
That’s kind of the point, we all know that what he is saying is the kind of idea that you get when it’s the night before the game is fully shown and you are imaging the ideal game. I wish that this was the game we are getting but honestly as long as it’s fun and the final boss fight isn’t “Arceus stand before you on low health after a lot of fighting and you hear a roar and a zipper appears on the top of its head and it turns out that it was charizard all along.”
Really well done, thoughtful analysis of what the games should be. I also loved your 3 step approach into getting everyone on board, definitely a well done video, and it sounds like an actual game I would want to play. I hope they do something like this.
I'm not really getting my hopes up. GF has been very disappointing for a while now. But that's my personal opinion on the matter. Better to lower your expectations so you don't get even more disappointed if you had your hopes high. Now if it does good then that's a different story
2 ideas that I thought of was that the level 3 dungeons help you unlock a plate but you need 2 other plates. Example: A / The level 3 Ice dungeon requires 2 plates such as water and rock, and at the end you fight the boss and unlock the ice plate. The second idea was that for level 3 or higher dungeons you have to fight a legendary Pokémon as the boss, such as Registeel for steel and either Regice or Articuno for ice. Zygarde for dragon would be cool too.
Even if the game is disappointing I’m just hoping it will help a lot towards changing the series formula, as the mainline gameplay has been stagnant for awhile now.
Sword and Shield was a complete mess and I regret even buying the game brand new, waste of 60 dollars. It's probably the only game in the franchise that I spent the least amount of time in :/ No hate to people who enjoyed it but it was a massive let down, it could have been so much better. A company like this can literally make amazing games and yet they barely put effort in
What’s sad is that the game won’t be any thing like he discusses. However, it is exactly how GF should make the game. Thamil has the right ideas for a open world Pokémon game
Some environemnt interactions that could be cool: 1) Obviously moves that were usable outside of battle before Cut, Flash, Rock Smash, Strength, Surf, Whirlpool, Waterfall, Dive, Dig, Fly, Defog, Rock Climb, Sweet Scent Other Ideas: Crossing Rough Terrain, Finding Hidden Items, Pulling Certain Objects, Surfing Sludge, Surfing Lava, Putting Out Fires, Starting Fires, Causing Plants to Grow, Deciphering Text, Passing through Solid Walls, Electricuting Metals and Water Bodies, Freezing Water,
@@jyuubiokami5607 He's incorrect in that gamefreak isn't making BdSp, but they are at the very least supervising or watching over the project. It's their IP, so it's ultimately their responsibility if the games are successful or not and they are the primary blame for the games and their quality.
TTar I think you’re giving Pokémon too much to live up to. That’s why we are getting so disappointed. We expect a lot but they will give the bare minimum
@@THGMR-ox7sd Completing the pokedex could be one of the foundation goals that was mentioned earlier in the video, or made to a side quest with a handsome reward, similar to how you didn't need to complete all 120 shrines in botw, but were rewarded with health and stamina boosts and items for doing so. How you complete the pokedex, when you do it, etc. would be all up to you. There's a lot of possibilities and flexibilities when it comes to pokedex completion.
They’re both correct. “Arceus” with a hard “c” (“Ar-key-us”) is the English pronunciation, while “Arceus” with a soft “c” (“Ar-see-us”) is the Japanese pronunciation.
Man I really don't think January will be enough for Legends. I'm super hyped for this game but with what they showed us... I hope they did hella work on it.
You make us set our expectations way to high, but I love these ideas. I hope we get at least some story with puzzles and bosses we need to finish to progress in the story.
@@unitystarlight13 man I don't understand the open world hype most of them are just empty. Few games effectively use open world. Would rather have a smaller sandbox filled with content.
I like the idea of types doing similar stuff. Rock and normal can do rock climb, Steel and fire behave like a cut, water and ice types as a surf and water fall, flying as a fly, grass to grow berries, poison to clear poisonous areas, ground to open up holes into caverns entrances or exits out, pyshic and fighting to behave like a strength. Fighting and ground to be rock smash, fairy to be a sweet scent, bugs to collect honey, electric types to power "odd machinery". These are just quick ideas of overworld interaction interaction.
The plates being the McGuffins to collect through dungeons, and obstacles being able to be overcome with certain typings unlocked after getting said plates makes so much sense! It could also help with story progress, like say if some plate dungeons are mandatory for story completion. Say there’s an evil group that also takes some plates from dungeons, so you must both complete the dungeon and retrieve that dungeon’s plate from some bozo’s mansion. Well, we can dream all we want, but until we get more info, we can’t stay too hyped. So long as this doesn’t become just a catching simulator.
I thought my hopes were too high but T-tar , you're on a whole other level xD I'd be so surprised if they created a game with even half as much content as you described.
I like the idea that having a specific typed plate makes the Pokémon and moves of that type more powerful so that you could use them outside in the overworld, as an explanation for using moves outside battle. Also using moves outside battle to encounter Pokémon you couldn’t without it, such as using Pokémon to fish, fly or climb steep terrain, and using a water type move on a sudowoodo tree if a cut replacement doesn’t work
An interesting idea I had is that in the post game when you go back and catch the opposite legendary once your done with the main puzzle there then lies 3 doors in front of you, but there’s more doors beyond that and depending on the combination of doors you enter you will be greeted with one of the following outcomes. Finding the Legendary, a dead end, or entering a mysterious cave incased in fog. It seems this is where you end up. You enter and look back but the door has completely vanished. There is no turning back now. Your now in turn back cave home of Giratina, or so you thought. You eventually encounter Giratina, battle it, and once it’s health is significantly low it emits a ferocious cry of rage and anger as it takes you down under to its real home. The distortion world, once here you adventure through the distortion world and close to the end you begin the see a figure of a person it seems like the professor, or is it your rival? You come closer and it seems Giratina was simply playing tricks on you and you quickly begin to battle it again. This time Giratina is much stronger and in its origin form. He’s faster, smarter, and hits way harder. And you realize this from the first second. After you finally defeat the powered up Giratina. The distortion world begins to collapse and boulders begin flying at you as you soon realize the distortion world was held together by Giratina’s abilities but with it being weakened, it no longer posseses the power to regain control and your forces to book it as time passes this demension gets more and more distorted by the minute. With the scenery changing one minute vile stone next minute Pokémon league? You finally make it back to the portal and your back in turn back cave. It seems the door that once disappeared, has now reappeared. You then enter the door and on the other side is dialga or palkia. They are very aware of what you have done. And as a sign of gratitude they accept your challenge humbly and within seconds your battling the final member of the creation trio. This battle features a “primal form” of sorts as palkia or dialga attempt to give it their all in this reversion of themselves similar to how they were at the beginning of creation. Once you have defeated palkia or dialga they. With outmost honor allow you to catch them as they motion towards your poke ball signaling you to catch it, you do and there it is you’ve finally battle all of the creation trio. P.S. you may not catch Giratina until completing the Sinnoh dex. (Just seeing all them not catching).

This game will be experimental in so many ways. I also try to have the lowest expectations possible because we have so little information and gameplay footage to have a clear idea of what's going on. TT - Dont overhype it the wrong way.
Also TT - just make it Zelda.
This is exactly wha this video is - I definitely don’t think their will be dungeons ahah
@Hkg 1 how many other than zelda did tt mention?
From my perspective, TT is saying to make it similar to Botw because that game is quite literally the perfect definition of what an overworld game should be, from the environment, interactions, physics, attention to detail, etc. We can also see from the LoA trailer that the game is at least inspired from Botw via its visuals/graphics. Who wouldn't want an overworld game that was like Zelda?
@Hkg 1 I never said it was, 🅱️. I said it is a prime example of what an open world game should have. It set the standard, so to say.
@Hkg 1 So Xenoblade chtonicles X has the same things as botw? Can you elaborate on these and provide some examples? Because if its true, then you are saying the Xenoblade has the same interactions with the environment, the same attention to detail in terms of real world physics and interactions, the same level of exploration and expansiveness, and the same everything as botw? I've never played Xenoblade X, but I've never heard from any reviews of the game doing such things or anyone making comparisons between the two games. Name some examples please

My take on your dungeon idea
First dungeon: starter dungeon(based on starter choice) boss Ninetails(Fire) Tentacruel(water) Roserade(Grass)
Second dungeon: strength dungeon(puzzles involve Rock and fighting types) boss Machamp
Third dungeon: Wind dungeon(puzzles involve controlling wind to move) boss Drangonite
(Next 3 can be done in any order)
Metal dungeon: (on iron island) (involves swinging in chains and breaking metal doors) boss Steelix
Mud dungeon: (in great marsh) (involves crossing bogs with ground and poison types) boss Toxicroak
Lava dungeon: (in stark mountain) (involves cooling magma spots) boss Magmortar
(After all 3 previous ones are complete)
Storm dungeon: (involves connecting power to metal spires to awaken boss) boss Electivire
Frost dungeon: (involves freezing pools of water to create paths) boss (tag team) Abomasnow and Froslass.
Final dungeon
Life dungeon: (in mt coronet) (involves learning lore as you make your way through mt coronet to spear pillar) Boss Arceus.
Add postgame dungeons for other legendary lies like a Moon dungeon for cresselia and darkrai and a Regi themed dungeon for regigigas
This concept sounds better than anything GF could come up with

for the 8 plates idea, I hope the order you collect them isn't completely linear. It should have some linearity since there's gonna be a level curve, but I hope at least a few of the plates will be balanced so that you could collect, let's say plates 3-5 in any order.
Or maybe they're all open and going to be level scaled

"hide under something when it uses earthquake" I'll try that, thanks 😂
Some great ideas in there, unfortunately we won’t get a game that’s even close to that level.
I legitimately don't care how it plays. I just want Arceus' theme to be KH levels of godly.
I really hope that this game won't end up being a "Zelda Pokemon" game which ends up losing the feel of being a Pokemon game....
I think it's just to bait people who keep saying BOTW Pokémon pls.

Difficulty is definitely a concern.
I like the idea of needing certain types of Pokémon to enter dungeons, it’ll make you use Pokémon you usually wouldn’t have.

Ttar: says an amazing idea
Gamefreak: _what's that_
I'm not really getting my hopes up.
Ttar should just make the game. His ideas sound so amazing.
U guys are expecting too much from a company that sold a glorified tech demo (sword and sheild) that fanboys still ate up
Sword and Shield was a complete mess and I regret even buying the game brand new, waste of 60 dollars. It's probably the only game in the franchise that I spent the least amount of time in :/
No hate to people who enjoyed it but it was a massive let down, it could have been so much better.

ttar should design a game
What’s sad is that the game won’t be any thing like he discusses. However, it is exactly how GF should make the game. Thamil has the right ideas for a open world Pokémon game
Some environemnt interactions that could be cool:
1) Obviously moves that were usable outside of battle before
Cut, Flash, Rock Smash, Strength, Surf, Whirlpool, Waterfall, Dive, Dig, Fly, Defog, Rock Climb, Sweet Scent

Finding and looking for plates sounds insanely boring.

The ability of each type of Pokémon to do something to overcome obstacles reminds me of how it works in Pokémon Ranger, nice concept!
