Pretty useful, I have a place off the grid in Baja where I spend months every year and do all my washing by hand, this would make my life so much easier. Thanks
Honestly I see this for underwear, T Shirts, socks, cloth diapers, and cloth menstrual pads, (disposable diapers and menstrual pads won't be around in a SHTF situation). Heavier shirts, pants, towels bedding etc, will need more room and power. But then again all of that this can wash is the stuff that "gets stinky the easiest, and stinks the worst". So I will likely get a couple of these!
for laundy the washer goes on the bottom faceing up thats why it spins 2 directions.... the side is for dishes. Also makes a great alternative to those mini washers, whether you use them for laundry or for hash making a 5 gallon bucket, bung fitting, tubing adapter and tube and you have made a similar product. You can make 3 maybe 4 full units washer system and all for price of 1. And I don't mean the new ones that are collapsible, those are just this with a $2 collapsible bucket and marked up 2-300%. Though the other kind that are solid and are blue most of the time they have a better drive system belt and pulleys for more torque and it shows when your washing it whips around a full load these struggle with half
I would like to see you hand-wash the rag right after. Just as comparison to see if it will clean better or the mini washing machine made the best possible work
I use it for a small dark wash that i don't want to put in the washing machine. Ideal for socks, smalls, hand towels. T-shirts Not suitable for heavily soiled clothes but ideal for a light hand soak.
Omg I was so upset with mine because it wouldn't keep going, kept stopping and clicking and I couldn't figure out why.....but once I plugged it into a phone charger instead of the wall, it worked perfect! Mine didn't come with instructions lol
I often have a rag or something and it's not enough for washing machine, so this looks very useful. Maybe apc in the water would work better. I will try it
It's pretty cool, but I have an apartment sized portable washer that might be more useful. It doesn't use too much energy, so you could probably run it on minimal solar equipment. But you could also use it as you would a bucket with a plunger, and it is better, because it doesn't have a pump. It drains by gravity. So, if you don't have any power, you could fill the tub, use a plunger to agitate the clothes, and then turn the knob to let the water drain out, rather than having to lift a bucket or bail out the water. Now, the spinning half of the washer is separate and will always drain regardless of whether the knob to release the water in the washer is open or closed. If you have some solar you could spin dry the clothes, but if you don't, you could let them sit in there and drain a bit maybe press down to squeeze out more water, and then they'll be less heavy and sopping to either hang up, or hand wring a little more before hanging up to dry. So that's my plan for laundry as easy as possible when SHTF.
My wife and many other ladies in the Philippines often spend hours in 30C plus heat hand washing underwear, T-shirts and shorts, among other things. It's tiring for the hands and back. As well, many families can't afford a full size washing machine, or don't have a connection to the mains water for one. As well, power outages happen often. Having something like this that can plug into a power bank would be ideal.
Do a demo with a few plates. See if you can 'replace' your dishwasher if you 'hunker down' at home but have SOLAR or GAS but no Electric. I could see using this for the clothes 'closets' to your body.
Would not mind having one to help wash and presoak my clothes in the bucket in my bathtub while I do my morning cleaning chores. This should help get the liquid laundry detergent a good thorough mix into my clothes. This is the selling point I believe. Then when ready to fully wash I can finish my laundry wash with a plunger.
Ooh good video. Not sure about 'Dryer' though LOL. Im going to get one for rinsing out our swimmers when we are camping near the sea . Just came back from a camp and 3 days of the same swimming costume defo needs a proper wash.
It is actually designed to go into a round bucket at the bottom in the middle I contacted the dealer and this is what they told me and it was originally made to wash your underwear 😂👍🏼
I think the device was meant to work on the bottom of a container not the side. One drop of Dawn will remove most of the oil/grease. Bleach is too heavy to backpack with.
Not sure, It didnt do well in mine so I used the square sink to do this video however i have been told that its ok to put it at the bottom of the bucket too
I just want to see one that that washes dishes like silverware. I hate washing silverware it takes forever...but all the reviews I see people are putting clothes in. Which isn't helpful.
It should be better for silverware because it doesn't have the weight of clothes that can slow it down. Ultimately its better than soaking because it gives a constant agitation of the water. I doubt however that it will shift caked on food on cutlery. Its only Good for a more powerful soak.
I bought one. Not this exact model but the USB power is too weak to move the spinner once put in water. The USB power is not strong enough against the water pressure so it doesn't move. What am I doing wrong is it because i used an adaptor , i don't have a direct USB wall socket or s power bank 😢
Yes, I have since used it that way and it does work better no idea why the directions said to put it on the side of a bucket, bottom was way way more effective
@@Iridium242 I ask because there's not too many positive reviews about this gadget on TH-cam. When it does "give up the ghost" I'd be curious to know how long it lasted. Thanks for the update ✌️🇨🇦
That is what i was thinking but every bit of instructions they had said to put it on the side, So odd, but trying it later with it on the bottom of the tub was much better.
@@Iridium242 Yes, you're so right. I was looking at a portable washing machine and reading the reviews and poor instructions was commonly mentioned. Thanks for your review. Take care 👍
You know since the video I tried it on the bottom and it works way way better but the odd thing was in the directions it says to put it on the side, so I just ignored that now and use it on the bottom.
i highly advise you to not put your hand inside while its on, we don't know well these things pass the QC tests.. there could very well be electrocution risk still
Interesting device ... Maybe for daily use is not the best option, but imagined an apocalyptic scenario could be to wash my panties, socks and bandanas. Thank you for sharing with us greetings from Brazil!
PUT YOUR WET LAUNDRY. IN A MESH BAG. TIE THAT. TO A TREE. SPIN IT AROUND. IN FIRST SOAPY WATER, THEN RINSE WATER. THEN SPIN DRY AGAIN. KNOCKING THE WATER OUT.

For what it’s designed for it does work. Great for an off grid scenario. Might not get the clothes perfect but cleaner is better than nothing
Thank you for the video.
Well done whoever sent George the washing machine thing.

Look up Menstrual sponge,
Every woman should have 6 or more on hand.
To solve the diaper problem stop having kids.

Its also much more accessible at its $30 price point, and in a New York apartment situation, take up a fraction of the space.

I’d put it in the bottom like machines have it. I could do that in my kitchen sink. Then get a big salad spinner to spin the clothes drier.
I tried putting it at the bottom of the bucket it won’t even spin the water . Most of the videos from the seller have it on the side
Great unbiased review, but you couldn't give me one.
You could just throw a handful of stuff in there at night and be ready to go in the morning
I like it, neat little contraption. Thank you for another good video, love all the reviews & thanks for the savings codes & recommendations.
Interesting for small things in a sink maybe. Veggies that are hard?

Where do I get that thing to plug it into? I don’t want to have to buy a bunch of extra parts.
Can it be use with powerbank?
Yes
I wonder if you could turn this into a spin dryer. I feel like that would be more useful

Put it on the bottom to distribute the water evenly.

I've only just ordered one off eBay can't wait to replace my partner from doing the dishes it will also be convenient for small stuff to wash too
Can you put a plug on it?
Yes
Купила через джум, но пришёл неисправный, можно ли его отремонтировать и как.
wouldn't it work better if placed on the bottom?
Gets water logged, how do you get it out? Mine fl of water
I just shook mine off and let it dry, never got water logged
I feel like this is an electric shock waiting to happen
I'm holding out for the electric dog polisher 🙄.

this thing is good for towel only for cloths no.

Not very durable.

How do you dry your clothes?
Just purchased 2 for £10
I’m bout to do the same thing maybe buy more cuz it’s cheaper than a regular washer unit
Looks perfect for washing animal bedding
