This series was brilliant. I don't know why but to me this was more authentic than many car revivals. The kit was old and designed for the job it had to do but worked. I'm honestly impressed any of this worked nearly as well as it did, considering more than half the equipment sat outside for years, one had a seized engine, lots of rust working through and clogging various lines, etc. Goes to show just how resilient older equipment can be, and what a bit of hard work, dedication, assistance from friends and neighbors, and stubbornness can do to get abandoned and forgotten machines fully(ish) functional again. It was great fun watching it from start to finish!

in either a corn stove or a pellet stove, they burn cherry pits as well.,You can probably burn pretty much any pits or seeds as long as the stove is set up to handle the fuel , and the seed is dry enough.
Corn stoves were pretty popular for a while till corn prices were very high and oil/gas was affordable. Now oil and gas are very expensive.

Very distinctive sound, different from most other tractors of the day. My family needed the money and sold them while I was overseas. I've missed them ever since!

I'm glad to hear that the combine and corn harvest turned out good. I remember sitting in my uncle's John Deere combine back in 1970. He farmed just outside of North Battleford, Saskatchewan. He suggested I tie up a rope to lean on and clean the front windscreen of it. I was 10 yrs. old, not much of a knot tyer and scared of falling, so I took the safe route and stuck to cleaning just the inside of the window. My cousin still lives there on the property but I believe is pretty much retired from farming. I enjoy you guys videos.
BTW, I have a 96 F-250 4x4 automatic, extended cab, 351 W project truck that I bought last December. It runs and drives but I've done quite a few mechanical things to it to bring it up to better status. I'm amuzed at how so many shops in Kansas City really don't like to work on the older trucks . Parts can be a challenge to find sometimes as well. I can't seem to find good brake dust covers anywhere local. Also, there's a spring that goes into the parking brake that I believe even the Ford factory diagram has in the wrong position. Have a nice November and Thanksgiving! Rick

Put extensions on the auger and hopper. Truckers were laughing when the tractor and auger cart was bigger than the combine. Pretty smooth running machine that dropped very little grain. Only thing it didn't have a Worley bird on the radiator screen. Had to get out and wipe it off when the engine temp started climbing. This video brings back old teenage memories.

Little videos like this remind me of my grandparents farm in Michigan. Corn and soybean are the usual crops that are raised on their farm. I love watching the combines harvesting the crops.

Nowadays people usually have big, new, $80,000-$90,000 combines, but it’s kinda nice to see an old piece of Machinery doing some good farm work.

Maybe a tarp under the screener to catch the falling kernels. That way it can be picked up and added to the screener. Less mess to clean up. Kevin, I enjoyed the video. Very informative and turned out productive. Thanks and God Bless.

Another brilliant series, JYD is the perfect mix right now. Not too pushy with ads and sponsors, and fantastic entertainment. Honestly please don’t change the dynamic - this is better than anything on TV!

I love your channel! From will it start 6o the campers, boats and especially the farm eqiipment! I think you showed a lot of people that just because a piece of equipment is old doesn't mean its outdated or can't be productive! I would to see an ongoing series of restoring each piece of equipment and continue to farm on a small scale for feed or organics or fuel....I think its especially cool that you included the owner of the combine and his family....more importantly showing how the family farm pulls together....anyway....I just think its really cool...thanks for sharing!

Awesome series on corn planting and harvest. Loved it and I love old farm equipment as well. After our Massey Super 92 combine rotted away from the inside, It was stripped of "everything combine" and a 12 foot snow blade was added to it and it's been pushing snow now for 14 years. This combine had a cab on it and all it needed was a heater and refreshment holder. It's a site to see and all the neighbors get a laugh when they see my rig rollin snow...lol. Love all the vids, so keep them coming. Cheers from Saskatchewan, Canada.

You appear to have great neighbors and they looked like they enjoyed the process also, glad you folks got that fire under control and nothing or no one got destroyed. I do respect your privacy, I get that sir. Thanks for the ride along.

Congratulations on your first successful crop and thanks to all those that helped and to you both for sharing the fun adventure. 400 isn't a great profit but way better than a $2000 loss, you're playing with a lot of variables in this game you have no choice with if it don't rain or rains to much. As they say welcome to the real world of farming, Looking forward to see if you grow something next year. Take care guys.
