I was there recently and the Frankenstein's monster actor at 28:53 got me SO good that he broke character and just pointed at me for a good 5 seconds, even through the mask i could sense his juedgement lol
A Quiet Place looks boring...I rather they make the house completely in silent with just the screams of the monster, now the random background sound effects and screams are making no impact.
A quiet place is FAR from silent my guy. Its quiet in terms of like "don't make an indication that you, a human being, is there. Or else you are dead" not complete deaf silence.
Wow! You really went all out with AQP! You fully played into it, being completely silent and all. So dedicated you kept it into the other houses. Very well done!
Its crazy how Hollywoods version of A Quiet Place has some really impressive (For a very temporary attraction) animatronics, while the one in Orlando has much more simple and less impressive animated figures.
that tends to be the main difference between the two- Orlando is much better in terms of scale for mazes/scarezones, but i think the quality of creature FX (animatronics, costumes, makeup) here in Hollywood just absolutely blow Orlando out of the water. Each event is great don’t get me wrong, it just depends on what you like- I’m definitely a monster lover so Hollywood has been my favorite for years !
It's always fun to compare the Hollywood and Orlando houses when they do the same IP in the same year. One is always superior to the other. I had no idea what was happening in Orlando's Eternal Bloodlines, but I actually see the storyline in Hollywood's.
I'm sorry but Orlando has less impressive animatronics but it doesn't solely use animatronics and actually tries to do more things with actors, watching this I feel I would barely be scared in the slightest at Hollywood but when I went to Quiet place the other day it was quite tense vs the bland jumpscare animatronics of Hollywood repeated every few moments. The few we had seemed more special because they held off on over using them and used puppet arms and masks for a few scares. Lots of houses in Hollywood seem like they don't try to be as creative or as scary as their Orlando counterparts and it's very disappointing.
11:46 never knew I was afraid of chainsaws until now. I closed my eyes the whole time and bumped onto the sausages, a wall, and almost a scare actor apparently eDiT: idk why I thought the intestines were sausages
I’ve never actually been before planning on going next month (hopefully) but I’ve seen a lot of videos from previous years. Have the employees in the orange shirts always been there in the mazes? They’re kind of distracting. I mean I remember seeing some of them in the halls with their lights directing people but never in the same room as the scare scenes if that makes sense. Kinda funny seeing the monsters in the room then just a random guy in a bright color just standing there
The ghostbusters house here looks significantly worse than its orlando counterpart. I know that orlando usually gets the best houses but wow the difference is those two is monumental
@@margggggggie Really? I feel like the lab alone shows how hollywood is lacking with the windows and the scare actors inside, along with the Slimer scene being very lack luster
I keep expecting some sort of passport option that you can collect a stamp from each attraction and ultimately get a limited edition "ultimate survivor" item - mug, pin, shirt, etc.
I assume you mean the quiet place aliens. I thought the same, but I think they might be black. The strobe light is so close and bright I think it can't help but reflect off. Things also look different on a low light camera than they do in person.
@@happiestplace3754 they have super dark blacks now that absorb 99.6% of all light like vanta black and musou black. It could be done if they wanted to.
@@exchangAscribe most of these videos are. I went in person and every maze was waaaaaaay darker than the video. In person, the animatronics are hidden better before the actual scares.
I truly feel you guys film the BEST walkthrough videos on TH-cam!! Could I include a few mazes in a talking head/review video on my channel? (Credited of course) I just feel your videos can really aid with a clear visual with what I’m saying during voiceover? Thanks in advance if you see this! I want to go about this in the right way obviously and get permission as well as protecting your channel as well as mine. ❤️
The licensed houses feel so corporate it hurts. Was hoping universal would learn their lesson after how tired the walking dead house got. Walking through random scenes with people hanging out isn’t scary, interesting, or fun
i agree that they are too corporate. but the second part doesnt make sense. you have to have low moments to have high moments. you might just be low patience. downtime is necessary, just like in horror or thriller movies. otherwise everything becomes a blur and nauseating and no longer scary or thrilling. downtime also allows things to be shown or explained, to create context. a constant stream of high octane scary moments will only desensitize people.
@@exchangAscribe Downtime should give the audience time to breathe and immerse oneself. Filling that that low time with random scenes just takes away any buildup imo
@@Werewolfslayer14 i agree but if the random scenes are relevant then thats beneficial and counts as downtime. downtime and breathing room is very important, especially when it comes to horror. buildup is important as well, as long as its not constant, which can cause tension the whole time which isnt a good experience. so i think we agree on that.
Likely because actors would either not be loud enough over the other sounds going on, or they'd ruin their throats. Or both, if the shifts are long enough.
Exactly, it makes it a consistent experience for all guests and saves the scare actors from using their own voice over and over, especially for screaming effects.
What happened to the jump scares from the old times.. what ppl to soft to actually enjoy this.. so glad I didn't waste my money this year.. and why would you bring the weekend back that was the worst maze I had ever been in and this one looks ever worse
Excuse me for ruining the mood with my comment, but I'm more scared by the working conditions of the people who are exploited for this type of business (probably paid $8/h to do the same thing 8 hours a day like robots with a continuous and deafening noise) than by the show itself.
Universal Studios Hollywood pays their employees $25 an hour, and scare actors do 45 minutes of work, and then have a 45 minute break, and repeat, so half their shift is them relaxing and cooling off
my favorite part is when the creatures do a jump scare....and then point you in the direction you need to walk. very helpful monsters 🥰
Such improvising!
The fact that in the movie a guiet place they learned sign language is so cool
Yeah, I'm so proud because I'm deaf

I wonder if Universal has ever considered making movies based off of their original houses. I would gladly settle for a horror anthology series.

I do love that the skeleton guy from monstruros isn't a monster but a ghoul whos recounts of Latin American monsters is like a certain cryptkeepr 😂

@doniawong TO be honest, it'd be super awkward if it was actually completely quiet

Universal should do a outlast trial house next year or a outlast whistleblower house
I want a Universal Monsters: Eternal Bloodlines Movie!

@rockyxbautista It depends on the house. If the house is more set focused then yes. If it's more creature focused then also yes.

All the sets look amazing! I noticed the jewelry box ballerina in Eternal Bloodlines- is that an ode to Abigail? Lol
It was so hot throughout the entire event
almost passed out on insidious but not bc of being scared. IT WAS AN OVEN IN THE MAZE
It started warm but then got chilly when I went (Sept 15)

21:27-21:45 el cucuay the boogeyman by danny trijo lol

The only one that I think is cool is Dead Exposure: Death Valley.

wonder why it was only 8 when Orlando got 10 mazes.
Hollywood also has Terror Tram so it’s like having 9 houses.
@dannyzamora2144 Terror Tram has 3 mazes (back-to-back). Add those and it’s 11 total
