16:07 what is dune about? I don’t know if it’s something I would be interested in, but I hear people swear by it. Still don’t know if I should buy a copy or not. Well, a newer copy of it. I see it mentioned LOTR on the back, still don’t know if it is “comparable” as it claims since Tolkien is definitely a writer I quite enjoy. I must say though, im not too thrilled with the setting.
Nice haul . I am full agreement with you on tha subject of abridge books .How times have changed, i remembered ads with doctors smoking " more doctors smoke......" .As always . Thanks for the show and tell . Be it book, toys , diecast, trips to shows or down memory lane . As i have said two per week is fine . And remember no over working .
Appreciate the video Jules, you've picked up very nice books. Have you ever encountered "It Takes a Thief" Ace paperbacks based on the U.S. 1968-70 Robert Wagner TV series? I recently came across the small series (only 2?) and found them to be very nice books -- perhaps something to add to your searches. Happy Holidays and happy collecting. Best regards -- Jim in Indiana
Cool stuff. I need to get some of those I SPY novelizations. I loved that TV series as a teen and have recently been rewatching it streaming. I still love it, but have not read any of the books.
That DAW Best of Dick is a 1st. DAW did 1st to 10th printing list instead of a number line for a short while. It has caused a lot of confusion for collectors.
Some lovely stuff there Jules, very wise of you to get the first series of Ace Specials from the USA as the copies in the Uk are not only uncommon but usually ****ed, I find. See you next week, I hope!
Thanks Steve, yes, very much hoping you can make it next week. It seems with some of the Ace Special the only decent copies are from the USA, although I have snagged a few over here🙂👍
@@JulesBurt As long as I feel OK within a few hours of my dental appointment the afternoon before, I'll be there. I could do with getting out on a journey.
@@JulesBurt There was a book I wanted that only had two photos and I asked for one of the spine and he sent through about 10 more photos! Didn't buy it though as it was priced at least double its value but yes, any serious seller will do what they can to help - they want the sale after all.
@@JulesBurtYeah, I come for the books too, but quite honestly, I like the variation. The recent comic and toy fairs were actually a lot of fun to watch.
Wonderful as always. I've taken to cleaning books up the way you do as well!!❤❤
Excellent Michael, hope it's getting them gleaming!
That Ace of Dune is a reprint. The 1st is numbered N-3.
Yes, realised that after making the video. I do own a tatty N-3 with a rough cover. On the upgrade list....

More science fiction than the fantasy of Lord of the Rings, have a look at a few summaries here on TH-cam.

Thanks Sylvan, so pleased you enjoyed this one my friend 👍🙂
This was such an enjoyable watch! Thank you for sharing your haul with us!
My pleasure, glad you enjoyed it👍🏼
Good haul!
Thanks Bob!

Thanks Jim, I like Robert Wagner but have never seen this series, I shall investigate 🙂

They come very highly recommended, apparently they're great👍
The books are great reads!
That's what I hear Gary🙂
I'm excited! ❤
Nice🙂👍

That's cool, I'm not massively insistent on 1st Daw printings but they must have the original jackets though. 🙂
I have that bigger science fiction book and was super surprised to see it in the video! A very neat book!
It's pretty decent tbh. Obviously dated but great eye candy, as a lot of these tend to be.
total well - ))
Indeed👍

@outlawbookselleroriginal fingers crossed mate 👍
Ace N-3 is the first edition of Dune.
You're right, I realised this after I shot the video. Still the same cover though. Happy until an N-3 turns up.
Hello do you happen to have some online like google sheets catalog of all the books that you have?
I do use Google docs to catalog my collection. It's not online though.
Could you please tell me the name brand of that spray you use? Thanks
Hi Tommy, it's called Mr Sheen. It's a furniture polish but works great on book jackets!
I won't buy paperbacks on eBay unless the seller shows the spine, they usually don't show it for a good reason.
Understood, sometimes I ask for an extra picture.

@KiwiExpressCream couldn't agree more 👍🏼
Of the I Spy paperbacks, there were 7 in total.
Great, I have them all then. 🙂
Thanks, it's your books coverage I come for. I don't care about comics or toys at all, so I hope they don't come to dominate your channel.
I'd say, on average, it's 75% books, 25%, everything else. The channel has always been a bit of a mixture but mainly books.
@@JulesBurtYeah, I come for the books too, but quite honestly, I like the variation. The recent comic and toy fairs were actually a lot of fun to watch.
I’m all for the comics and toys tbh lol. All of it is great to watch though!
Good stuff, thanks 👍
Give me a mug of tea, sit me in an overstuffed chair, hand me that Encyclopedia of Sci-Fi and I'm good for the day. 😏
Sounds an excellent plan!
