@@tomasnewson6744 it's funny seeing how far ahead you guys are over the pond. We're still installing equipment on 404A in Aus. I think this year it's finally going to start getting more expensive than 448/449
@@Thermoelectric7 404a over here has been cracked down on for a while now.. you’re not allowed to charge virgin 404a into a system larger than 10kg ish ( 40t co2 equivalent ) .. It keeps things interesting, but can’t help but feel like it’s a waste of time when China are boiling whales and blasting r22 at dolphins 😄 Seen some new daikin chillers coming with 1234ze . Seems to run similar pressures to 134a
The Appion core depressors and core removal tools are pretty solid, would recommend giving them a shot! Edit: ah I see you're all over it, commented too early haha
Thats what they want us to do, fit new stuff thats on a different gas by pricing the old stuff out of the market. I converted this to R449A which is about half the price per kg, but I think that is getting banned for new systems soon too!
New Fgas regs start in a few days now… I’m gonna be doing more retrofitting of refrigerants from now on too… have a good Xmas 👍🏻
Yeah, I need to read up on the new regs, been told any new milk tanks I sell will be on R454A which is flammable like R32.....

Looks like it is more leak than intact joins and parts.
You're not wrong!

Yeah I've got some, need to put one in my gauges tool bag so I have it when I need it.
That same bottle of gas is 54 GBP by me...... 10kg bottle. R22 is 100 GBP as well, I can still buy it.
Last bottle of R404A I got was £1000.17 for 12kg!
£1k for a bottle of gas! How much is a new unit lol.

That was a Late one. Got dark on you.
Yeah, I think it was the shortest day here so only eight hours daylight.
